History

Established in 2007.

Our first location was a 80 year-​old house at 110 N. Lambert which we turned into 5 rooms of exciting art featuring local and international artists. The gallery and its garden was a wonderful experience. The relaxing courtyard garden was a wonderful location for evening concerts and wine-​tastings. It was had to leave but when a opening became available right on the historical square, we decided to move. Now we have been at 106 N Houston for 4 years and it has been great! We have even more space to share beautiful art. We show about 30 artists at a time rotating works monthly. There is always something exciting to see in the many mediums we represent. We are proud to have as our anchor artists, Soon Y Warren, one the top watercolorist in the US and «Woman of the West» artist, Sharon Markwardt. We are also known for Stacey Watkins resin glo-​in the-​dark art and our selection of blown glass. As Southern Living magazine said in Oct 2010 –«it is a must see».

Her Art Tells Her Story — Stacey Watkins does not limit her creativity to one medium or theme. Her art like life is full of variety, color and magic. Primarily self taught, Stacey has had the opportunity to be mentored by several great artists who have influenced her enthusiasm to experiment with new techniques and mediums. Each piece of Stacey’s art is unique. From plasma cut metal art to etched glass, From murals to paintings that change color with different light, From intricate crosses to hidden images that come to life, From guitars to special paints which change colors in the dark, Stacey’s art is a reflection of the world of possibilities. Stacey’s work has received national and international juried art show recognition and can be seen in her gallery, Your Private Collections Art Gallery, along with other award winning artists of many mediums.
