Baker St Harbour Bed & Breakfast

This B&B met all our expectations. The innkeepers, Perry and Terry, are a very lovely couple that seemingly work hard to keep their guests happy. We stayed at the Cloud Nine room on the second floor which had a perfect view of the Brazos river from its personal balcony. They have plenty of entertainment within. A well stocked library with books, DVD’s as well as outdoor games and a fun tire swing. There is plenty of outdoor sitting area where you can enjoy their beautiful waterfall on the premise. Breakfast is served family style and a snack given at 5pm. Check-​in time is flexible and checkout at Noon. A beautiful place to visit.

(visit in June 2012) My husband and I stayed a 2-​night weekend at The Baker St. Harbour Waterfront B&B for our anniversary/​babymoon. Terry and Perry provided excellent service and lovely touches — such as candles and rose petals in the room, a ride on the pontoon boat, and yummy snacks in the evening time. We scheduled massages upon arrival, and slept great that night and awoke to the smell of a wonderful breakfast served to the guests family-​style at 9 a.m. We stayed in the Cloud Nine room, which was very comfortable, and my husband loved to sit out on the private balcony overlooking the lake and read. The historical house had so much character, and the grounds were beautiful… with a gazebo and waterfall and garden area overlooking the lake. We took the trolley to Granbury Square (although we could probably walk), and enjoyed the shops, restaurants, and historic buildings — including a spooky tour of the old jailhouse! Terry and Perry were very attentive and always available if we needed anything or just wanted ideas of things to explore in the area. Perry took us on a complimentary boat ride to The Dock (a local restaurant on the lake) on Saturday night, and we enjoyed great burgers and live music. My husband and I left the B&B feeling very refreshed and have even booked a trip for my in-​laws to stay here for their anniversary. We would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet, peaceful, and relaxing weekend getaway.
