Terrible hair cut for my son .very expensive, supercut is cheap and better.1 hour waiting for nothing, i ask if i can use the cupon for my son, they told me I can used it. At the end they don’t accepted, because he’s 10, and he pay as adult.

Shaima is the fantastic in Fantastic Sam’s! Thank you for great suggestions and a great cut. I just realized that it took 6 months before noticing my troublesome grey, framing my face, returning! Amazing, since many have tried and none succeeded the same. Thank you! I’m calling for a new appointment right now! I hope you still work there.

Normally go to higher end salons, but money is tight right now so I decided to try Fantastic Sams. Got my hair cut by Anna and I absolutely love it!!! I have read reviews about how she has an attitude, but that wasn’t my experience at all, she was very friendly and professional. She even told me that if I find anything wrong with my cut, to come back and she will fix it at no charge. I will definitely go back!!! Thank you Anna!

Went there in October to transition from really dark brunette to subtle blonde or ombré. not an easy task because my hair was super dark & had boxed dye. Got my first transition done by Jessica who is super nice & sweet. Didn’t like the color so much was really orangey & coppery so came back a couple months later & had my hair done by Mary today. She is absolutely amazing & I highly recommend her to anyone who needs a color correction or just color in general. The highlights & correction she did on me gave me this huge confidence & I cannot be any happier. Worth every penny. The owner is also really cute & sweet she kept smiling & offering me coffee, I felt like such a princess when I went there, they really took good care of me & made sure I left happy & satisfied. Such a shame. I live so close and I was looking forward to finding a great stylist I could grow old with. (Don’t try stalking me!)
I have been here twice (since my usual stylist at the time was unavailable and I desperately needed a cut) and walked away disappointed both times. The type of disappointment where you look into the mirror and ask yourself, «Why???» as you told back the dam of tears.
Seems empty a lot and I always see different stylists every time I go or walk by. It seems as if there is a high turnover rate.
I’ve read some great reviews but I do not share in the enthusiasm. Some people say the third time is a charm but I am not risking it. There might be a great stylist there I haven’t met, maybe next lifetime.

First time coming to this salon and already loved the environment because I received a warm welcome from Mary! I got blonde high lights and at first I was a little nervous but Mary made the process so relaxing by having a conversation with me just about ourselves and making me trust her! Definitely will be coming her again! Thank you so much Mary! Love the new style!

Been going to this place since it open. My stylist Mary always cut and style my hair. She does eyebrow threading too.

Mary always does wonders to my hair. I’ve never had a better haircut then when she does it. I used to hate cutting my hair but now I love it because Mary always gives me the results that I want.

SOFIE is the BEST!!!
I came here for the first time without an appt. I needed a trim on my hair. I was lucky enough to have Sofie cut my hair. She is very friendly and honest. Sofie is also quick too. Also, if you ask for a trim, a trim is what you will receive from Sofie. She will not get scissor happy and chop off all if your hair.
Next time I come, I will make sure to ask for Sofie! PERFECT!!!

It was my first time at this salon. I totally recommend the stylist, SALLY, who helped me. I’ve never had so much complement for my hair in my life. I showed the picture of the hair color and style from online to Sally and she knew how to turn my blonde hair to very stylish hair that just how I wanted. Sally was friendly, polite, and very professional. She also gave me the best hair wash in the salon ever in USA. I really loved whole experience at this salon.

I usually go somewhere a little pricier (40 $), but I heard good things about the fantastic SAMs by the mall. So, I decided to give it a try. It was about 7:30 when I walked in. They close at 8. Sofie welcomed me to her chair. She was very kind. She didn’t brush out all of my hair so as she was cutting she would find little knots and brush it. She also didn’t went my hair. I have slightly wavy hair so it literally took her 5 minutes to even out ONE layer. She was annoyed going back and forth, making the layer shorter and shorter when she finished and said, «FINALLY». I had initially showed a picture and she said she could do it. By the time she finished it literally looked like someone cut 2 layers straight across with no shape. I was mortified and said in the picture her layers started at her chin. She proceeded To cut me BANGS. I freaked out when she cut my bangs to my chin and was about to make them even shorter! She told me that that is where my bangs would start and I says I wanted LAYERS, not BANGS. She looked confused like she didn’t know the difference. I was so freaked out and she could see it in my face that she tried blow drying the bangs to make them look better. They didn’t to me. i was about to walk out without paying for the haircut because I would have to have what she did fixed when I told myself to just let her try because I didn’t want to make a huge scene. After that, I asked for more layers and to make it took less choppy if she could. I don’t think she added more layers in 2 minutes, but she did taper the existing layers. Mind you, my hair is still dry this entire time. She only wet my hair if there was a knot to help get it out. So random strands were wet and the rest dry. After me asking her to fix everything, it didn’t look terrible. It looked like the haircut I would get in high school. Long layers with some bangs on the side… I’m 20 and that was certainly not the look I wanted. She seemed limited in what she could do and seemed like she wanted to convince me to go for what she could do instead of just saying I can’t do what you would like. Doesn’t seem up to date on techniques because I have never had my hair cut part wet or part dry, ever. I’m never coming back to this store out of fear of getting my hair screwed up again. I’m not sure about the other stylists but this was my first and last experience! I wouldn’t come if you don’t already have a stylist her that you KNOW you like and have already had a positive experience with. One star because she was nice and one star because she madE my hair not look like a complete train wreck. No stars for how «nice» my cut is because it’s not what I wanted.

KIDS HAIRCUT POLICY! Very Upset… went in with my 9 year old daughter for a haircut with a kids haircut coupon. When went to use it they said my 9 year is consider an adult so they are going to charge me the adult rate. Also that the policy is 9 and under… well my daughter is 9 so should she qualify for the 9 and under? WHAT!!! When is a 9 year old consider an adult. Not happy and not coming BACK. Needless to say I had to pay the adult rate which was double the price of the kids cut. She also asked my daughter how old she was when she was in the chair. I’m sure she did that so she could adjust the age policy. Don’t like to be scammed. Also the age policy is NOT POSTED anywhere in the salon or online.

The manager called me and offered to redo my haircut. She had the «best» stylist work on me. She and other stylists were shocked at my hair and even said to me they are not sure how to fix this. They did their best, it was a little better but in the end I went somewhere else to fully fix it. They told me the stylist that originally worked on my hair does not work there. 7 months later (last week) the owner messaged me to change my review for a refund that was more than what i originally paid. I set a time to pick up the gift card, and he said the review is to be deleted by the time I meet with him. For me personally, If I am doing business I would make sure the customer is happy before asking them
to do something they wanted. Or at least make it public you are trying to make it right and not private message to offer a gift card or service in exchange to delete the review. Look, I am not reviewing this business out of spite. I never updated my review simply because I have better things to do and forgot. Plus they said it was my discretion. However, this review has been brought back to my attention and has reminded me not to return to this salon. I will say I am informed the staff is different now, and I did go to this location because of Unilocal but I personally will not be returning. I am giving one more star than before because at least they tried to fix my terrible cut.

This is the best salon in town. Mary is thoughtful and always makes my hair look beautiful. It’s a pleasure to walk in and know she will do her best to listen to what I want and make it happen. We will definitely keep coming back here for haircuts, style, blowouts, and fun conversation.

Been going to Fantastic Sams since back in the days. So glad one opened in my neighborhood. Now I take my son with me.
The stylists come and go here but each one are great. They are busier on the weekends (understandable). So for less waiting stop by on the weekdays if you can.

I had some highlights with Anna, on late Mar’15, she did a good job, luv the colour.
I wanna tried a new med. red colour some highlights, she explained & gave suggestions & book colours to choose for. She listened & a good customer service too.
The colour turned out like I wished, not too bright red & she put my highlights wrapped with foils under the warm steam, so my hair highlights results don’t look like frizzy/​kinda split end texture now.
Thanks to Lucy the Manager talked & explained to Anna & gave me a good deal after I complained & unsatisfied with my 1^st highlights visited on early Feb. in Sh. Oaks branch.

The best stylist there is Estella!
I’ve been following her for YEARS, I don’t allow anyone else to touch my hair or even trust anyone else besides Estella. What I love most about her is if I don’t know what I specifically want for my new hairdo, she works her magic and I always leave the salon VERY happy and excited to show off my new do to my friends and family.
A lot of people do not understand her personality very well, unfortunately. She is no way mean, rude, or insulting at all; she just speaks the truth, I’ve seen a couple of her clients (including teens) come in with dirty hair.. . which is gross. However, she just speaks the truth about hair. I wouldn’t want someone to sugarcoat an opinion of my hair; I like to be told what needs fixing or what’s missing. But she is TOTALLY awesome and makes my hair AMAZING! :D
If you want the best, Estella will have you leaving with beautiful hair.

I have been taking my son to get his hair cut here since we moved to the area, but this was my first time getting a cut. My experience was pleasant. I didn’t wait long, I told the stylist what I wanted which was a trim. She took her time, asked questions and made suggestions. I like that. She cut all the unhealthy ends off and made my hark feel healthy again. They have a rewards program so I signed up for that on top of getting $ 2 off for checking in on Unilocal.I will return.

Mary is awesome! If you come here for a cut, definitely request her.
Never had a bad haircut and for $ 20. The price is hard to beat and the service is great.
