Great services. House looks great! I’m a perfectionist and I know I’m to picky. But this company done the repairs to my home. And painted it with the best. Dunn Edwards Paints. I am all about supporting small local businesses. They followed up with what was said to be done. It was what this house needed it was long over due A+++

I had my house in San Gabriel painted by Alex and his crew about 4 months ago. I waited to write this review to see how his stucco patch repairs and Dunn Edwards paint job held up during this El Nino rainy season. We just had the first serious rains this past week and I am pleased to report that everything is holding up and looking beautiful. What we agreed to on his little yellow piece of paper contract was exactly what I got and was completed as scheduled. I was never subject to price changes. There is some good news and bad news. The good news is that Alex uses a commercial grade power washer which takes off EVERYTHING that is loose on the house and it takes a lot of skill when using that much pressure. As a result he had to do a lot of patch work, more than anticipated, but that was a good thing as the house was built in the 1930’s. The patch work matched better than I had expected and the wife hardly complained so what more could you ask for? The bad news is the wife did complain about all the paint chip debris that inevitably scattered around the house from the power wash. For the very competitive price and the quality of the prep and paint job, I can’t complain like my wife. That’s her star that isn’t filled in.

I recently had my home painted by Alex and I must say what a outstanding and professional job. But that’s what I expected being that he’s been my parents house painter for over 15+ years. They were very clean and neat and treat my house as if it was their own. Thanks for another job well done and thanks for helping us with picking colors.

Just a word to the wise. when hiring these guys make sure you have them understand what you want done verbally and have them write out on paper what their going to do… it’ll be a small yellow piece of paper. Also ask them exactly what the price is going to be for“everything”. Otherwise they’re gonna come back and ask you if you want this and that done at an additional extra cost.
Bottom line is they duped us into believing our house was going to be painted (That was their line.“We would like to paint your house again sir”) but it was only going to be for the trim and wood work… no stucco (Not once did they say to us. no stucco was going to painted). Yes they wrote what they were going to do down on their small contract but later on the first day of work told us the stucco was not part of painting the house… And that’s what we were led to believe. They were going to paint the house (Since when is sanding and painting the trim and wood work, considered painting the house?). They came an hour after the worker started his sanding and the owners son said we can patch the cracks on our stucco up for an additional 1,500.00. we said no. just paint over the cracks on the stucco. He said the 2,000.00 didn’t include the stucco. I was stunned! I told the son to his face that you knew that’s we wanted done too. They tried sooo hard to get us to pay that extra cost but we told them we wanted out unless they did everything for 2,000.00 like we originally thought was going to happen. They even came down on that extra 1,500 they quoted to 800.00 after getting the father (owner I think) involved. We again said no. They didn’t budge and neither did we. The only good thing that happened was if we wanted out of their agreement we needed to pay 10% of the total cost. They waived it cause they felt bad that they left our trim work looking like crap so they left.
If you use them which we did on a prior paint job. make sure you know and they know what your getting for your money. They get an extra star for not holding us to the 10% charge.

This contractor was recently hired to paint a 3100 sf home in Rancho Palos Verdes for $ 2800. This home has a market value of approx. $ 1.2−1.4 mil. Told us that it’s normally $ 4000 but today it’s $ 2800.lol. Come on, it’s $ 2800 EVERYDAY unless you’re gullible enough to give them 4k without pricing out other painters.
On their first day, 3 workers showed up in the morning and scraped the loose and chipping paint off the house. They didn’t bother to lay down sheets or cover of any kind to catch the material they scraped off. The paint chips, large and small, ended up all over the front and back lawns, was all over the driveway and street in front of the house, and even made its way into the BACKYARD of our next door neighbor, who obviously wasn’t happy, either
Additionally, they didn’t bother to lay down any cover over the shrubs surrounding the house and that, too, was covered in paint chips.
We had to call Alex/​his son, to tell his workers to clean up all the paint chips and remove everything off the grass. NO supervision of the workers cleanliness at all by the contractor.
2^nd morning, they moved all furniture and other goods that was near the perimeter of the house and put ALL of it on the front and back lawns. At the end of this day, even their drywall tubs they were using to clean their brushes were ALSO on the rear lawn with, of course, paint on the lawn.
Again, we had to call Alex/​son to have them remove everything and keep it off the grass.
Finally, when done, there was paint droppings and mess around the entire perimeter of the house. In fact, the Contractors son was here the afternoon they finished and was standing no more than 10 feet from our front porch landing where there was dried paint drips. Didn’t notice, didn’t walk around the house to inspect it for work done, the cleanliness of their workers, nothing.
SO, the next morning we have to call Alex, AGAIN, to have them come back and clean up the mess they left, or more accurately, IGNORED, and 3 workers showed up and spent 2 hours cleaning it up. Yep, it took 3 guys a total of 6 hours to clean up the mess they left behind.
A neighbor down the street just used the same contractor to paint her home and she, too, had to call them back to clean up the mess they left…
Imagine, giving someone $ 3000 to paint your home and not once does the guy you gave the check to show up to ensure that his workers are protecting the owners posession’s, plants, etc, from being damaged, nor ensuring that they are working clean, nor ensuring that they left your property the way they found it.
Hire at your own peril. Painting isn’t rocket science, painting’s easy. The obvious hard part is finding a paint contractor that trains their workers to respect the owners property, to clean up after themselves, to create a service that has high standards for their work, and offers their customers nothing less. Any contractor can paint a home, trim it out, and leave it the way they found it.
