First Choice Marine

Don’t buy here period. They tend to drop ship from a distributor. Received a defected part. Figured good customer service response would be, ship back for a replacement or refund. Basically a hassle free return is what I expected. Now I’m on hold because they need to contact the distributor. 2 weeks to get a rma number then they give you a deadline to send it back. To bad Amazon doesn’t sell Volvo parts. I’m done with this place. Nothing but a hassle with this place. Stay away.

Customer Service goes a long way in our book and we feel we have experienced Superior Customer Service with First Choice Marine!
We found the prices to be excellent, when researching a few items needed to get the boat ready for Spring splash. I’m obnoxiously thrifty and after loading up my online cart at 4 different retailers, item for item, First Choice was best price.
Now, the customer service part: we did have to contact them several days after placing our order, as our order wasn’t marked as shipped. Very quick, pleasant reply stating that 1 item was out of stock and order would ship when it was available. We asked that they ship the rest of order, which they obliged. Order was received 2 days later… In full! One item was black bottom paint and, unfortunately, the can lid had opened in the box, so we were greeted with a box full of paint, which, of course, ended up on our counters, floors, cabinets, hands, clothes, the cat and dog, etc… when we opened the box. Sigh.
Emailed company to let them know and again, very prompt and pleasant reply, stating they would let us know when they could get a replacement out. Next day, they called (a nice touch over an email) to let us know a replacement would be sent out, with apologies and promises of better packing.
So… Minus 1 star for forcing the customer to track down their order, rather than updating customer about shipping delay. No loss of stars for the spilled paint… crap happens and the flung black paint made our orange cat look like a tiger, which was cool for a second.
But, full 4 stars for prices and superior customer service. If we hadn’t received this level of service from Dan, this review would have gone in a different direction!
We will definitely continue shopping with them and pass on their website info to the other river rats!

Horrible, Horrible, Horrible. Avoid is possible.
I found a great price on a fishfinder, as I was about to order it a chat window pops up. I ask what is in the box? cannot find this information, ok does it at least have a transducer? Yes I am assured.
7 days later and no shipping information, sent email asking when it will be shipped?
Go back to website and pull up chat. when will my order ship?
«i’m finding out these are gone for good, that is unfortunate because we weren’t notified of this. I will refund you immediately.»
SO I ask about the original chat and how they told me they had one left. and why they are just now finding this out. when/​would they of given me a refund had I not asked?
” the item is discontinued, I understand that but evidently you were given bad info as they show they’ve been out of stock for a bit.“
So I say. I will share this experiance online so other consumers are not duped. chat session ends…
Stay away, stay away. I got an email saying that the order was «voided» but nothing that says I was refunded. Guess I have to call the credit card company next.

Canceled part of my order without telling me. When asked about it they said I never ordered it. Then When I show them I receipt, they say I canceled that part of the order. Then I was told that someone contacted me and told me they couldn’t ship what was ordered and to re-​order. When I went to re-​order, they wouldn’t pay for free shipping (my original order was shipped free). The whole process was drawn out over 2 days. This place lost a customer over this. I ordered the parts from a different place and got them in 2 days.
