The Mohawk Tavern is a historical landmark. It’s filled with stories of the past where you can make new ones for yourself while indulging in delicious beverages. The bartender Kim is very knowledgeable and made us feel at home. Not to mention she makes the best damn Bloody Mary with a homemade spice mix. If you want a cozy, friendly place to get away, I highly recommend visiting.

Looking for a place with a patio to have lunch with a dog. The bartender(a blonde lady) said we were welcome to stay but all she had food wise was frozen pizza. She then suggested to other options in the area. I will be forever beholden to her because we found an AMAZING place! Bread and butter, a small red trailer on the left right after the turn in to Blairsden, ca. we will be back to thank her and have a beer!

It’s a dive, yes, but a very nice one! Friendly bar tender, friendly patrons, good jukebox, great pool table, generous drinks. We like it here… and our dollar bill is on the ceiling.

LOVELOVELOVE this place!!! Yes, its an old dive bar but its got great regulars, and awesome bartenders. Don’t feel uncomfortable. Just walk in as if you have been coming here for years and order yourself a drink.

This place is a must see. Very friendly people and yes it is kind of a dive but that’s what makes it «The Mohawk». If you think you’ve had too much to drink, don’t worry, the floor really does list to starboard.

It’s a very friendly, fun, nice local pub. The kind of local«dive» bar you’ll be happy to find anywhere. Cheap drinks of all kinds, a couple of local microbrews. They do a tipsy ride home if you’re staying /living within a few miles. They have this cool things thing where you can write a message on a dollar bill and staple it to the ceiling. There’s a pool table, relatively clean bathrooms.

I worked and lived in the area many years ago. I remember the Mohawk being very down to earth and a great place to relax after work and play a game of pool. The bartenders were very friendly and I often played dice with them. Always a fun and friendly crowd at the Mohawk.

When I think of the Toby Keith song«I love this bar», this is the first place that comes to mind! This is my absolute favorite bar of all time. My family has had a place in Graeagle for almost 30 years, and I’ve literally been coming up here since I was born. Since I’m a country girl at heart, I fit right in with all the locals who frequent this joint. In recent years, Graeagle has been«discovered» and thus has a lot more tourists, especially during the summer. There are always 50+ year-old golfers at the Hawk that hit on me relentlessly, but alas, this is just part of the Hawk experience if you’re a young gal. Still, I love it when country’s playing on the jukebox and laughing while watching the golfers try to dance. The Mohawk Tavern is truly a great place to hang out, and I know that after you visit it, you will be singing«I love this bar!»

It does not get any better than the Mohawk Tavern. I was on a road trip through the Sierras and fell in love with the place. It has a pool table, a comfy vibe, colorful patrons an outdoor patio, and great bartenders. The«locals», for the most part, are on vacation from elsewhere; here to tie one on and have a few laughs. The real locals are friendly and fun to talk to. If you are ever in the neighborhood, do NOT pass up this gem. Word of caution: the CHP has this place on their radar so beware

Belly up to the bar with skanky bikers and golf pants wearing accountants from Sacramento. Gotta love The Ol’ Mo. Watch your alkyhawl intake here, they make ‘em stiff. And if you think you’re out in Podunk, USA and immune to the CHP, think again. Woo Woo Woo! Pull Over!

The MoMo is dope. Where can you hang out with golfers, PWT, and silver miners coming down from the hills for a cold beer? The dance floor is the size of a postage stamp, but the juke box rocks. This is basically the only thing to do past 5 pm on a snowy day in Graeagle. Summertime rocks. Haven’t been back in years, but know this. If I showed up tomorrow at noon, not much will have changed, except for owner Natalie’s absence. RIP, Miss. Bitch.
