Lyndi makes the most delicious chocolates that are so smooth and creamy and melt in your mouth. We use Buckaroo to provide chocolates as gift to our guests and wedding couples at our wedding venue. They always rave to us how delicious the chocolates are. I highly suggest tasting them if you have yet done so!

I love their truffles! They are so smooth and creamy, they just melt in your mouth. I highly recommend the Dark Mecca, death by chocolate, and the Carmel salt. I’m pretty sure I got some of the names wrong but just try all of them. They also have ice cream that’s really good as well. The truffles come in these great red boxes with ribbon. Supper cute and great for gift giving. I had to stop going there after I found myself buying a 6 pack of truffles a week.

Did someone say sweets? I’m IN! On our way back home we had to stop into town to give this place a shot. I am so happy I did. My wife and I got ice cream to eat there and I got truffles for later. There was a good selection of ice cream flavors about 16 or so in all. I got the Death by chocolate and salted caramel in a cup. These flavors paired stood well on their own but also tasted delicious paired together. The truffles, oh those truffles. I would do the truffle shuffle just to get one of these things! First off, they are BIG! Definitely worth the $ 4 a piece price tag. They are also homemade fresh every day, so rare these days. The ones I selected were Wild Mountain Blackberry truffle, Caramel Frappucino truffle, Double Dark Buckaroo, and the Java Junkie. All of these had a fantastic chocolate coating over the luscious interior truffle. I don’t know that I could honestly pick a favorite because they were all just so dang good! The caramel frappucino was totally legit, the owner says she even uses the same syrup as Starbucks. All that frappucino taste without the icy crunch? YESPLEASE! These are some of the best truffles I’ve ever had and since they are so huge you can cut them into 4 parts to take your time and savor them. Is that what I did? Actually, yes. I ate them piece by piece and savored them slowly like good chocolate should be savored. You don’t devour these, chocolate is made to melt in your mouth and have that flavor linger on your tongue. That’s what’s so sinful and sweet about it. The owner was as delightful and sweet as her truffles. I throughly enjoyed chatting with her and learning about how she comes up with the flavors she makes. She’s got a very creative mind in a foodie body. That cannot be beat! She clearly takes a lot of pride in her chocolates and she has every reason to. I love supporting a small business and if she were closer, I would be in here EVERYDAY! These truffles alone give me a good reason to explore this area some more. I can almost fathom taking a hike if this is my reward at the end!

What to do when you lunch was eh? Make up for it with an ice cream cone, yum! Seating here is super limited but if you can snag a spot they look comfy and shadey. This place is popular with bikers and cyclists alike. Bust out the big dollars though, $ 4 is the minimum you will be spending for an ice cream here.

Buckaroo Chocolates is definitely offers some of the best chocolate in the region. The selection of chocolate is extremely large, especially if you like favored chocolates. The chocolate is hand-made in the store and never fails to satisfy the average sweet tooth. The hours of this restaurant can certainly be a pain during off peak seasons. Buckaroo Chocolates is almost not a restaurant at all, with no seating, the restaurant functions more as an ice cream style restaurant, where you go in get your product and eat it in your car. But nonetheless, the chocolate is great and I believe that they offer ice cream as well, but I come for the chocolate, not the ice cream.

This is a new chocolate and ice cream shop, in the building the post office used to be in. The woman who owned the place was really sweet, and her homemade truffles looked really good. We didn’t try them, opting for the local ice cream turned into shakes. The shakes were really good, but not outstanding /perfect(a bit too milky /not thick enough) but they hit the spot and were priced very reasonably.
