St James Place is a very quick and easy place to decide to eat because it is right down the street. Just a basic menu, all American. I’ve gone here twice in the past two months, once with family, once with my boyfriend. I had the club sandwich the first time, it had a lot of cheese slices on it but it was a decent sandwich I would more than likely order again. Everyone else’s meals were good, the salmon special was a favorite! The second time I came I got a salad and some appetizer wings. The salad was pretty basic, they put the dressing on the salad instead of on the side, but no complaints. The only part I was disappointed was the croissants! They were hardens dry, like they sat out for a while and had just a tiny drizzle of sweet sauce on top. I hyped them up and they didn’t come through! Maybe next time!

This is Our go to place. Always good food. Had a problem one time and they tripped over themselves to fix it. Food and service is consistently awesome.

While visiting this week, family brought us to St James Place for dinner. I dont have anything negative to say about this place. Great prices, decent selection, courteous staff along with a decent bar selection. Will eat here again on our next visit

This is one of my favorite go to lunch spots in Goosecreek and it’s great for a casual lunch or a business lunch they have really good food awesome salads and excellent service and the owner can usually be found greeting people and talking to people at their tables They also have these crazy amazing croissants that you get with the salad that are deadly good

My boyfriend and I went here for dinner last night. I wasn’t really sure what to expect and I’m pretty picky about going out and a bit spoiled after living downtown for so long. Goose creek doesn’t really have much to offer as far as good food goes. However, this place surprised me! The menu was full of different types of food, ranging from Mexican to Italian, American and other sorts. I saw turkey and dressing dinner and being the holiday fan I am, I couldn’t turn it down! I ordered a side salad as well. When the salad came out I was amazed! It was a huge salad with a warmed croissant on top– reminded me of the salads at California dreaming. I honestly could have just gotten the saad and been satisfifed! Our food came out and it was so nicely prepared and hot. It tasted even better! We both had 4 Togo boxes including out salads and had lunch for the next day! I was even more impressed by the price! The service was also really nice and prompt! Will definitely be coming back.

Overall good American food. Waitstaff is a bit slow and very inattentive. Every time I come here my drink is always empty. When you order get your drink and a water. The food is not fantastic but it’s good. If your hungry order one of the dinners. Their taco burrito is huge… and tasty. The décor is a bit dated but again decent place to eat. I would say we eat there about one every other month. There not many good places in Goose Creek.

This place is totally racist. They owner Gary is extremely still stuck in 1920. He clearly doesn’t care about the African Americans that spend money there. me and my sister went there for lunch and was treated like we should have been sitting in a colored only section of this place. He walked around and spoke to every table in the restaurant except us. All others were white. Me as a server of a restaurant this is something that I observed very quickly. When I ask the server(iris-by the way was awesome) she mentioned it to him and he looked over at us and said he doesn’t care if we enjoy or come back. I personally would never return because obviously my money isn’t as green as the other whites that were dining there.

We have only gone here once, the pock chops were flavorless, and the frozen veggie was not anything to write home about. We opted to sit outside. The service was pretty good, and I love the chilled salad. One of the better place I think to eat In Goose Creek, but there aren’t that many to choose from.

Stopped by for a mid afternoon snack. I ordered crab puppies and my sister ordered mozzarella cheese sticks and we split an order of fries. The crab puppies looked and tasted like it was just stuffing. No crab flavor at all. They only had three mozzarella sticks left in the place. My sister wanted them anyway. The cheese wasn’t even melted. The French fry portion was small and they tasted a little freezer burned. Our server was fine but I probably won’t go back.

Well If I could give them less than 1 star I would and this is all because of management in this restaurant. I was there this evening, and ordered the Prime Rib(med rare) and Fried Shrimp with baked potato and a salad at an additional cost of $ 3.99. When I received my meal, the meat was about med to med well, so it was returned to the kitchen. The second time my meal was brought to me the meat was as cold as if it had been taken from the fridge. At this point I was very unhappy and told them not to bother with redoing it but the waitress took it back and returned with the same meat and I said I would not eat meat that had been put in a microwave to heat it, I was informed that they«dunked» it in the Ah Jus. I told them that I would not be eating a cold prime rib. The assistant manager came to my table and informed me that they would comp the entrée, however I would be charged the full price of $ 5.99 for the salad because they cannot discount it because is now is no longer part of the entrée, when I voiced my displeasure about this and informed her that I would not be returning and that anyone who asked me for dining recommendations would be told NOT to go here. She then offered me a «free» dessert, which I flatly refused. On paying my bill I noticed that she went and spoke to the Manager and I could overhear her explaining my displeasure and about my comment about not returning and voicing my opinion to others and his comment to her was«Fine we don’t want her or her friends in here anyway». Needless to say I was extremely angered by his comment, and I realize now why there were ONLY2 other couples in this establishment. I would recommend ANY other place in the Goose Creek area, but This is not the place to go if yu want both good food AND good service.

I should preface this review by saying that it is based on the price I paid for the meal vs the quality of the food. Ordered the prime rib bites and chips and salsa as an appetizer. The prime rib bites were awesome. If you love meat then this is a perfect starter. The chips and salsa were okay and the salsa was definitely from a bottle. However, they were cheap and the chips were pretty good. For dinner I had The Husker which is a fried chicken sandwich and my husband had a French dip. The fries were really good and well seasoned. The food quality was around that of any typical chain restaurant. The food was delivered hot, fresh, and fast. My husband and I also got some drinks. The Mudslide my husband got was chocolately and creamy. The draft Bud Light was only $ 1.75! Pretty cheap and it was served in a frosty mug. The service was great. Our waitress was very attentive and left no glass empty. She was very friendly and gave us A+ service. I would definitely come back for a cheap and easy weekday meal.

You just can’t beat their lunch special. Country fried steak, mashed potatoes and green beans for 5.95. I need to be rolled out every time I eat here. Food and service is always great.

This is easily one of the best places to eat in Goose Creek. I have been here about 10 times in the past 4 months since I moved into the area and each time I have enjoyed the food here. I have tried the Chicken Salad, Chopped Sirloin Steak, Country Fried Steak and a few other dishes and all were excellent. Very reasonable prices, most meals are about $ 10. The coffee here is also the best I have had in the area at any restaurant. Be sure to ask for Hannah. She is the best waitress there and is very friendly, attentive and professional.

If I could give zero stars it would be zero. The restaurant is crowded, dark and has a smell to it. Not food, but something else. Can’t describe it. The food is overpriced. Our party(2 people) had the turkey and stuffing with green beans. The turkey was thinly sliced lunchmeat with gravy poured over it. The mashed potatoes were instant and the green beans with potatoes came out of a can. Nothing added. Another person had the shrimp fettuccine was recommended. It was drowned in olive oil, smothered in Newman’s Own brand(best guess) alfredo sauce. The shrimp had no flavor other than the sauce it was drowning in. We also had nachos as an appetizer. They were a let down as well. They had canned chili on them, bagged tortilla chips and fresh tomatoes, salsa, and jalapeños. Everything we ordered from this restaurant was straight from a can/jar/freezer. Nothing was good enough for us to return. When we were looking around the restaurant we noticed that not many people did clear their plates. We are not picky eaters at all. However, when we go out for dinner we do not want food that is lower quality than we serve at home. For two people with two entrees, two sodas and an appetizer our meal came to just shy of $ 60. Carabba’s in North Charleston is the same price, however offers far better food and service. We will not be returning to this restaurant and will not recommend this to friends.

Three of us ate at St James Place on a Saturday morning. It was slightly busy and we sat as soon as we walked in. The waitress was polite and even went along with letting me drink out of my anchor cup — we were there seeing my son who is in the Navy. My husband is used to my oddities so he just went along with it too. We expected to eat an early lunch but we ended up only eating apps which were delightful. We had crab balls and these croissants that were flaky and naughty looking but I would eat those babies up. I wouldn’t say this is one of the places that we have to visit when we return but it is worth it if we’re in that area.

Basic American Food, 8.95 most dishes but portions not as large as other restaurants for the price. It is by my fav hair place, Hair Mechanics and Nail Spa nail salon. Met a g/friend for dinner recently before a Goodwill run in the Creek. Cheeseburger was decent, but only a few fries… what?, don’t recall getting a pickle. Place seems always crowded though so don’t expect speedy service, you can sit outside or in. If you’re a Duncan Donut fan, there’s one next door.

When we visit Goose Creek we usually must travel into Charleston for a good meal, but when we were unable to do so on a recent visit, we found this small gem. The experience was lovely from the moment we entered the building, the staff greeted us all with a great smile and the service was wonderful. The menu offers many options and my party all chose seafood, and was not disappointed. The prices were very reasonable and when we toasted a birthday and anniversary we were then presented a huge dessert(the house best), and at no cost… that is almost unheard of these days. Thanks, and we will visit again.

Best place in the Goose Creek/Summerville area… it might not be the fanciest place in the world but we have been here three times in the last month and every visit is better then the last. The food is top notch and it feels like they spent hours preparing it. Portions are large but the price is right… not many places this good in the area, makes me feel like im back home in Pittsburgh

This place has been opened and closed around 3 or 4 times. We went to check it out, because it looked crowded, we heard some good things about it. When we got there, we were greeted by a server working the door and got immediately seated. Our server was excellent and came back to freshen up drinks when she saw them getting low. She was telling us that the owner, who was also walking around talking to the patrons, demands perfection out of his staff. The food wasn’t awesome or anything, but it was good, and a reasonable price. It reminded us a lot of Applebee’s with the selection and types of food, but it was made from scratch, not frozen, so it was all very fresh tasting. Though the food was good, I thought the service was a bit better. It’s great to see the creek have a nice place like this around. We’ll definitely be going back.
