To those from TN very similar to Five Guys burgers! Burgers, shakes, hand cut fries made to order.

My First In-N-Out experience! Luckily I was with some friends who knew the secret menu so I got a delicious animal-style burger and a neopolitan shake. Fast, greasy, ‘murican.

I have a lay over at Santa Barbara airport and decided to stop by for lunch. Their customer service is top notch: greeted us right at the door. They literally have people on the dining floor providing service whether it’s from offering water, cleaning up your trays, or… Anything really that’s possible. They Tony, the quality insurance guy is on top of his game. Good job! Keep it up. Juan is also exceptional! He was greeting, saying farewell, and making sure everyone’s food was tasting alright while sweeping the store. Multitaskerrrrrr!

I live in Florida so anytime I see an In-N-Out burger and I’m even a little bit hungry I pull in because it’s such a treat. This last trip to California we tried the new Seaside location(Monterey is the next town) and it was as good/fast/spotless and super organized as always. My friends all ordered off the«secret menu» animal style but I actually love the regular way — single burger the usual way with cheese and onions added. You would think with 4 lines of cars outside that stretched all the way to the road the service might slip but we had our food in about 10 minutes and the entire order, special requests and all, was perfect. Love this place. 5 stars for sure.

You know what you get at in and out, friendly service and great burgers. Animal style fries are great, always a good choice for a late night snack. The drive though line goes pretty quick if you don’t want to go inside.

My theory holds up. I’ve always said every In-n-Out outside of Los Angeles/Orange County is a disappointment in some way. This one is no different. Sloppily made double double. I asked for grilled and raw onions, and the burger was without grilled onions. I go to the counter to ask for another burger only to be told«Here’s a side of grilled onions». Oh cool, thanks for giving me the task of taking apart my now room temperature burger and putting cold grilled onions on it. In-n-out needs to teach their stores outside of LA/OC how customer service brings people back.

In-n-out is an iconic symbol of Southern California: fresh products with a simple, non-fufu menu, served fresh with laid back workers and lots of traffic. In fact the line in the drive through is the only beef I have with them, though once you reach human beings they are invariably polite and friendly. I love the double double(no animal style for me), the fries are on hit, and the shakes are really good.

Finally I hit the West Coast and got to check what’s with all the fuss about In-N-out. Dissapointed, just a good upgrade from your MCDonalds and Burguer King but fails in comparison to good and true burger joints. It’s a good chain, solid patty, ok fries but nothing spectacular. Everything is just… «a meh, its OK»

Not a big fan of In’n’out but it is enjoyable sometimes I admit. Quite similar to the other In’n’out places. Pros: — The staff is very friendly and they will most likely welcome you with a smile. — The bathroom are usually clean too. — Unlimited ketchup! Cons: — Even though their fries taste good, they make me sick every time. I don’t know why. — There is always an incredibly long line at the drive and they take a long time to get your food ready for a «fast food» restaurant.

Your typical in-n-out :) right next to the freeway for an easy way to get there. Great burgers, fries, shakes. Get the animal style french fries.

As a midwest girl I had to try this place when I was there. It was okay. I liked the special sauce but everything was nothing to write home about. I enjoyed habit much more.

Got to say, I’m a fan. The In-N-Out name here isn’t exactly accurate, as you always end up waiting for your food here – a mix of them making it fresh, and the long line of cars and people who also want said food. This location also has a habit of closing off one of the car entrances for no apparent reason, but you can maneuver around it anyway. Service is good, the place is clean, blah blah blah; y’all know this place, so I won’t drone on or tell you there’s a secret menu like that’s suddenly a surprise or something. I always get a double here. I’ve had them hovering between medium and medium well, but never well done which is good. Beef is good quality and otherwise it’s a well made fast food cheeseburger. The fries are nice and fresh but unremarkable otherwise; get them Animal style(melted cheese, grilled onions, thousand island dressing) to kick them up a notch, or just use salt and ketchup. I’ve only had a vanilla shake but they are extra thick and tasty as well. In-N-Out is a cult classic for a reason: the food is consistently great for what it is.

I’ve always loved In & Out! Not a fan of the crazy lines they have… though they deal with them in a fairly quick manner and it is testament to their yummy factor… I always have the 4×4, wrapped in lettuce & animal style… I try to stay away from the fries everywhere… but, if I do indulge… I get them well done and animal style as well! Bön appetite!

Best«fast food»! While you can’t go wrong with anything here, seriously, experience it all, I have a «secret menu» meal go to: protein style burger and fries well done! Protein style drops the carbs and serves up your burger in an iceberg lettuce wrap. This is my way of convincing myself it’s a guilt free meal. If you are one of those fry eaters constantly searching for the crispy ones at the bottom, you must try getting them well done! Just about every fry will give you that crunch you typically find yourself searching for in a pile of fries.

I like In N Out though it’s not my favorite burger. This would also never be my favorite location because the wait is long, even when it’s slow here on a Monday night. I’ve had melted shakes here and the«well done» fries sometimes hardly differ from the regularly cooked fries. Please make them right because some of us really don’t like those limp and generally flavorless fries. Such short half lives In N Out fries have, better to eat those suckers immediately!

In-N-Out is that girl that’s always there for you but is not good enough to commit to full time so you go off and try other ones but nevertheless make the habitual visits back to her to get that«burger» craving out the way. I’ve had In-N-Out over 100 times, no joke. The most consistent burger that you will find. It’s a chain, regional chain but I have to admit it that if there was only one of these places in the world people would probably appreciate it a little more, including myself. The King’s Meal: 3×3: 3 patties, 3 cheese.2 is for wussy’s and 4 and 5 is for the obese or the gym junkies, 3 is perfection. I’ve had it so much that I can’t break down the taste of it, it’s become such a part of me. that classic In-N-Out burger taste Fries: The only part that confuses sometimes. You never know if you’ll get them pre-salted or not: S also order yours well done, that crispy taste to them is worth the extra 30 seconds to a minute wait, plus this guarantees that warmth. Animal fries if you’re that hungry, honestly just adding cheese to the fries gets it done for me most of the time. Shake: Strawberry is the go to for me, but none will fail, neapolitan that thing if you’re into that. or Pink Lemonade: Very different from that fountain one available at a lot places, it’s different in a good way, when I’m not feeling the dairy this is my drink, add a lemon slice for that extra natural taste. Customer service: I’ve never had a problem, well trained young employees that usually work here. Santa Barbara sucks with good food places, but after 9pm it only gets worse. you can rely on this place to come thru for you. their prices are moooore than reasonable. I’ll be here another 100 times.

If this review was purely on the merits of In-N-Out it could only be a five star review. Many chains are lauded as successors of sorts to In-N-Out but I can confidently tell you as a burger fiend that these people are either delusional or live on the East Coast and have managed to convince themselves that Five Guys is better. More relevant to Santa Barbara is that local chain Habit Burger has grown considerably since being purchased by a private equity firm. It was recently rated as the most loved burger chain or something. I contend this is because of their sandwich selections and that In-N-Out is still king of the burger. For a chain at least. If you’re not from California or if you’ve been living a lie and are just trying In-N-Out I have some suggestions. 1. Animal-Style Fries. I’ve gone to In-N-Out just to get two orders of Animal Fries. It’s something like 700 – 800 calories of America. 2. 4×4. Or some variant. The numbers represent # of patties and # of slices of cheese. Go nuts. 3. Lemon-Up. In-N-Out lemonade + 7UP. It’s refreshing. Here’s the ding. This location is awkwardly located where the people are not. This has more to do with Santa Barbara than In-N-Out but it is pretty inconvenient. It still gets busy. The staff is a little less than hasty or at least it’s been that way for the 4 – 5 times I’ve been here. Show some urgency you’re representing something incredible. The other Santa Barbara County location in Santa Maria features some of the most awesome service/characters.

C’est dommage qu’il soit si mal placé(sur une sortie d’autoroute) mais bon, ça reste un endroit cool pour se poser et manger tranquillement pendant un trajet, ou même si vous avez envie d’un double-double :)
