Retro Lube is the brainchild of two best friends — William «Rocky» Fields and Richard «Rick» Best. While eating lunch one day during the spring of 2001, Rick and Rocky discussed the motoring public’s desire for fast oil changes.

Experienced in the automotive maintenance industry, Rick and Rocky concluded that an oil change facility could be constructed to offer both a speedy oil change service and a comfortable waiting area. Recalling the bowties and hard brimmed hats worn by gas station attendants in the 1950s, Rick and Rocky favored a classic retro theme. Thus, the Retro Lube concept was born. The first Retro Lube was built in Goldsboro, NC, and serviced its first customer on October 29, 2001.

Today, Retro Lube is a growing company receiving frequent inquiries by those interested in franchise opportunities. Our history is «where good friendly service is always in style.»
