A. Wright CPA specializes in providing services to non-​profits, small businesses, and the individuals who operate them across Eastern North Carolina. These services include business start-​up consulting, tax preparation, accounting and auditing, part-​time CFO for hire and bookkeeping.

We are also open Monday through Friday afternoons by appointment.

History

Established in 2014.

Anne-​Marie Wright’s passion has always been working with non-​profits, smaller companies, and individuals and entrepreneurs. In July 2014 she established her own firm to specialize in non-​profit and small business tax and accounting services, as well as individual income tax.

The local economy is important to the businesses and individuals we serve; therefore, we proudly support local businesses and provide affordable, quality services to members in our community.

Business Owner

Anne-​Marie Wright graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting in 2001. Shortly thereafter she began her career in Seattle, WA at a firm that serviced mainly non-​profit organizations. Anne-​Marie spent the next five years in the tax department, preparing tax returns for non-​profits, small businesses and individuals. This is also where she passed the CPA exam (on first try!) and obtained her license as a CPA.

In 2006, Anne-​Marie returned to the east coast to be closer to family and has lived in Goldsboro, NC ever since. She started working for a firm in Rocky Mount, where she provided tax services to mid-​sized businesses and high-​worth individuals. From 2008 to 2014 Anne-​Marie worked at a local firm in the tax and audit department.

After a large firm acquired this company, Anne-​Marie began to formulate a plan to start her own business. She opened A. Wright CPA in Goldsboro in July, 2014.
