Great patio for the summer. My favorite place to sit back and have a pitcher of beer. Live music is also a plus

Best wings in the world! Have mad cravings for their gringo wings like once a month. So much fun inside too.

As a bartender and customer service expert I would like to give this place 0 stars. I went in for an early dinner at 5 pm tonight with a friend. The bartender was incredibly rude. She was inattentive and while I was requesting a Togo box and water(at the end of my meal) she walked away when I was mid sentence. Not even to mention that when my friend joined me it took her over 15 minutes to get her a beer. Then she walked by us several times without taking our dinner order even though the menu was closed and on her side of the bar. The place wasn’t busy at all and there was no reason for her rude attitude. She was more interested in talking to the people at the other end of the bar, whom all had full drinks, and basically wandering back and forth never making even eye contact with us or to stop to see how our food was or to see if maybe we wanted another drink. This girl should not be a bartender or in the service industry. She has a giant chip on her shoulder. The food and happy hour prices would be enough for me to come back because they are both great but I will take my business elsewhere because of the rude bartender. First visit here and I’m extremely unimpressed by the service.

Nice to have a little night club so close to home. Husband and I have a great time here. Great music and bartenders move as quickly as they are able. Love there outdoor porch, it’s always fun to meet new people. Sometimes super crowded with no where to sit.

This place has a stripper pole and Saturday night is $ 1 drinks for ladies. They play pop and hip hop and there’s a dance room(obviously where you can find me at all times) as well as a more casual sit down bar area with brighter lighting and arcade games. I picked a fight with a guy at the bar and got him kicked out in order to fit in more with the crowd here… jk but that really did happen. The crowd is actually all ages not just drunk Mines kids. Come here with 0 and I mean ZERO expectations and you will have a(kind of white trashy) good time.

I have become somewhat of a regular here, and I have never been disappointed with the service. All the bartenders and bar-backs are extremely friendly and service is always speedy. All the various entrees I have tried have been delicious as well. The vibe here is laid back, and I always feel welcome no matter what the crowd is like.

Ok. food here really is amazing, But service is awfil. ditto what a couple comments said about manager, jerk. Ive been here dozens of times as the wings are great, thumper great. but service consistantly gettin worse and worse. Im done. They have probably lost $ 2500 a year in business as I just can not bring my friends there and wait 15 minutes from the minute I sit down for a beer. Ill check back in a year or two but my hopes are not high. If you dont care about service, go for the wings… jost set you expectations really low on the service side and you will enjoy yourself. 9÷7÷2015

This is a fun joint to go to when in Golden that isn’t subject to the downtown golden parking issues. A Burger and beer joint for the most part that has outdoor seating and potentially a fun bar(I went at noon). The building is made of River Rock and goes back to the 40’s era(guesstimate) and the only downfall– which is happenstance is the traffic noise on the side of South Golden Road… But it really doesn’t impact the experience all that much. I’ll be back–

Fatty thin sliced brisket, canned beans and coleslaw with no dressing and it took 40 minutes to get this sad feast…

I stopped by for Friday lunch. The place is big and has a nice vibe. I’ll bet it’s fun on a sunny Saturday afternoon, having a few beers on the deck. The special on the board was Fish & Chips, which I ordered. Out came stamped squares, pre-breaded with a heavy batter that was hard and not too tasty. The«tarter sauce» was basically a blob of mayo. Some of the worst F&C I’ve ever had. I’ll stick with a burger next time.

I like this place. It has WiFi so I sometimes work from here. Music has been country non stop which can get old. I haven’t eaten here yet. A good cast of regulars come here. All of them friendly. Great staff too. No biker patches allowed.

A great neighborhood old westy style dive bar. This place is legendary and a must see for any pub crawl. Food is always good, menu is interesting and service is almost always spotty but friendly. They at least tend to keep your beer full. Great scenery and a friendly place, any dive bar connoisseur would appreciate the eclectic art and people

The food here is absolutely fantastic, however the server and bartender I had during my visit at noon on January 29th had such horrible attitudes I didn’t even want to come back.

One of the few places where they have traditional style buffalo wings! I hadn’t been here in almost 10 years and it has been way to long. I love this place… During dinner I heard some great hip hop, punk country and even some 90’s ska stuff. The atmosphere is defiantly chill and my son learned about«root beer pong» lol as they has a skiball style beer pong table there. As for the food my wings were a lil dry as I like them saucy but still had good flavor and coming from a guy who normally eats 20+ wings at bdubs and 15+ at hooters I couldn’t finish sharing 8 here. The burgers are juicy and defiantly decent size as it looked like they go by cooked weight and not raw weight.

There are 2 places in Denver that I like to go when I want to Dance my arse off. After going to Rock Rest for the first time last night, I know I have 3. We live in Lakewood so this is the closest to us and it’s a great place to go to have fun. It’s a diverse crowd, good music and a fun atmosphere. The place is so big that even on a Saturday night it wasn’t annoyingly crowded. It’s definitely not fancy so don’t bother wearing heals or button up shirts.

I LOVE this place! So much better when Megan and Shane are in the front knocking out drinks! Saturday night lady’s night $ 1 drink. How can you pass that up?! Music is crowd based, and take requests which is nice too.

This place is rather rough around the edges, but still has quite a bit to offer. We dropped in for a couple drinks and a quick bite on a sunny September afternoon. It was too nice not to sit on the largish patio. We found a place with a bit of shade that was mostly out of the smoker drift pattern. The craft beer selection was decent. I did experience the issue of where you order something they are out of, and after waiting 10 minutes for your beer, they finally tell you this, so you can start the process all over again. When the beer arrived, it was cold enough(but not by much). Our waitress was friendly, and eager, and a touch forgetful. We ordered some wings(half Asian and half of the 2nd hottest). I didn’t think the Asian ones had a lot of flavor; mostly soy and margarine. The hot ones were not that interesting, but did bring the heat. They deep fry the wings here, so that is definitely too my liking. If you are looking for a visually appealing and artfully presented wing, this is not the place. Ours were served in plastic Coors buckets(like a gallon of ice cream would come in). They give you the whole chicken«arm» here; from shoulder to wing tip. You then get to separate this at the joints and eat what you wish. It is a bit messy and I am not that squeamish, but my friends who dislike«chicken meat on the bone» would have been horrified. The celery and carrots were okay(not über-fresh), and the ranch was a touch runny. We also split a side of chili-tots. These were a heap of deep-friend heart killers, but were pretty tasty. All in all, I would come here again.

When I think about places that I hold near and dear to my heart, this is definitely one of them. I adore the Rock Rest. Everything from the patio to the mixed up bathroom signs makes me happy. I swear I can come her every night of the week and have a different experience, and it is always a good one. Some nights lend themselves to dancing, some to pool, and others to just relaxing on the amazing deck. That’s why I love it here – there’s something for everyone. The drinks are always okay – I don’t think they are that special. But the food? I love it. The wings are absolutely amazing. The burgers? Delicious. And for those moments when I’ve been drinking a bit more than I maybe should the peanut butter pizza is absolutely incredible. They also have super good fried pickles. Honestly, Rock Rest feels like a place you’d see in a movie. or a TV show. A cool unique spot where my cast of characters(aka my group of friends) spends a lot of time. It is a lot better in the summer than in winter because of the patio, but that’s not something any of us can change. My only issue with this place is that the DJ won’t play Taylor Swift. He says he can’t play country and yet he played Cotton Eyed Joe? I’m sorry, but that is unacceptable. I’m kidding of course, but I don’t see why they hate on T– Swizzle so hard. ;)

I’ve mentioned to my friends that curious pandas may probably get nuked one day, and that came here with Rock Rest’s 4-pound Peanut Butter Burger Challenge. Basically, if you can finish a big burger laced with several days’ worth of peanut butter and a plantation’s worth of curly fries in 30 minutes or less, you’d get the $ 12 meal free, your picture on their wall, and a $ 25 bar tab. A great way to make some new friends if you prevail. The burger also has four 1⁄3 lb. patties, four slices of cheese, eight strips of crispy bacon, and your usual burger veggies. A dill pickle spear is placed on top of the burger, and all held together with a skewer. Roughly 2.5 to 3 lbs, I’d reckon. It’s a pound of COOKED curly fries. I thought I read somewhere that since the uncooked potatoes lose water when fried up, it could amount to four pounds of uncooked spuds. FML. At other places I’ve been to, their version of a pound is nowhere near as large as Rock Rest’s portion. Yay for a very large greasy and heavy food-porny challenge! Only 5 – 6 people have won to date. A woman reportedly finished in 9:24. WTF. Must be a competitive eater. For the record, the food was insanely awesome. The fresh beef patties were cooked perfectly, very juicy and seasoned well. Initially, the fries were a sexy golden brown. The peanut butter oozed out of that burger and blanketed my favorite meat crack(that’d be bacon, folks). Admit it, peanut butter-covered bacon is foodgasm material. Then flavor fatigue and heaviness(especially from the peanut butter) set in. The Cinderella-like food transformed into very ugly stepsisters. I mean, we’re talking a trillion times worse than WWE’s Mae Young here. My pace slowed to an agonizing crawl for the last half of the challenge. I never got very full, but left about a quarter of the burger and maybe less than half the fries. Ugh. I guess it’s respectable for deciding: «let’s do this for no other reason than to defile a spicy panda!» (I even put up a video on my YouTube account: ) The staff was great and I loved the décor. For $ 12 you can’t beat the price and the quality. Heck man, that challenge could feed 3 – 4 «normal» people. Admittedly, I goaded my friend into doing a couple of spicy challenges the previous few days. This was basically his revenge to get maximum entertainment value. I know he’s now happy and laughing at me for this stunt. You’re welcome. Don’t worry, I only took ten gigantic leaps closer to heart disease. Speaking of my sadistic friend, he got some delicious-looking mozzarella sticks and really loved them. He also tried some of my burger after the challenge was over and enjoyed that as well. Somehow, I would like to see him screwed over on a food challenge… don’t know why. «Peanut butter, why does it have to be peanut butter???» OK, so my buddy treated me to some sorbet later. Maybe I was still food drunk. But did he playfully offer me some peanut butter ice cream? Argh.
