Called 5 times and no answering service. Looked up online on Unilocal,Google, and their Facebook and no hours of operation. Drove 20 min and lights out! Thanks for wasting 40 minutes of my time.

I really wanted to give Meyer Hardware a 5 star review. But I just can’t. When I called to ask if they had certain items in stock, the woman who answered the phone interrupted me and cut me short before transferring me to hardware. Then I spoke to Gary, who is wonderful. He patiently listened to me list what I needed, and he confirmed that they did have what I needed in stock. When we came to the store, the older checkout lady was helping customers. The younger one just stared at us as we walked in. We managed to find the hardware and Gary on our own. It turns out that someone had come in to buy one of the items we needed, so he set the remaining items off to the side, in addition to the rest of the items from the list I had called in. So not only did we not have to look around for everything, he had it ready for us and we were on our way quickly. He seemed like a very nice man and a good employee for sure. As we went to check out, we went to the older lady’s line. The younger lady took a guy in line behind us, instead of asking to check us out first, even though we were next. When the older lady finished with the people ahead of us, she didn’t say a word to us until she asked«that it?» after entering our items. I don’t think she said much after that. I was really dismayed at their attitudes. We didn’t feel welcome in the store and we didn’t feel like they appreciated our business. We’ll probably be back to give them another chance, especially since Gary was such a big help and they had what we needed. Otherwise, we’ll go to a store that is closer to where we live and we know that to expect when we come through the doors.

Helpful staff and a great local store! I try to give them business whenever I can just to keep this place going. What a great asset to have right here in town.

Stopped in to use the restroom and warm up before heading out of town. Did not really have anything in mind to buy but the abundant staff was more than ready to assist if we needed help.

Meyer Hardware is definitely a small town hardware store with a big box selection. The employees are always more than happy to give you a helping hand and most likely you will save money by going to Meyer. I highly recommend stopping at Meyer and see their selection before you even think about going to Home Depot or Lowe’s.

Unexpected big-store selection, with small-store service. «Hardware — Sporting Goods — Housewares — Electrical — Appliances — Automotive» reads the signage out front. This is sure more than a hardware store. I came here with a long list, outfitting my freshman for dorm life. I’d gotten what I could at Costco in Arvada, and what Costco doesn’t carry, this place had. Alarm clock, pencil sharpener, under-bed tote, hangers, box fan, laundry bag, duffel bag, smaller-sized detergent, extension cord, duct tape, power strip, needle-nose pliers, office supplies, ethernet patch cable, etc. There is lots of help — knowledgeable employees greet you as you walk in, direct you to the spot, then back off while you select, and seem to reappear when you’re again looking for something. This is a three-level /split-level store, with wide aisles. I didn’t go to the lower level, but a local later told me they have every tool you’d want in the basement. This is hidden away in downtown Golden, a block west of the main drag, Washington Avenue with its Welcome to Golden arch. The unmarked back wall of the hardware store is across 11th Street from the Golden Hotel. The store faces south, into its large parking lot. But it’s well worth finding; they had everything I needed.
