Goozell™ frozen yogurt meets and exceeds the requirements set forth by the National Yogurt Association (NYA) for frozen yogurt and carries the NYA’s Live & Active Cultures seal. Goozell Yogurt actually meets and exceeds the NYA’s requirement for refrigerated yogurt which is 10x the standard for traditional frozen yogurt. In addition, Goozell Yogurt™ is proud to have its frozen yogurt products Kosher certified by KOAOA Kosher Overseers, pioneers and trailblazers in the Kosher Food industry.

History

Established in 2010.

Goozell Yogurt™ is derived from a Turkish culture and flair. The name Goozell comes from the Turkish word, «Güzel» (pronounced ‘goo-​zel’) meaning: ‘beauty of people, places, food and life passions.’ What is also not commonly stated is that Yogurt is Turkish in origin, dating back to 2000 BC. The passion of the Turkish people is known worldwide for their joy of being wonderful hosts and creating delightful foods. «We want to bring a taste of that feeling to Goozell Yogurt and the people who visit,» stated Brandon Narva, the owner of Goozell Yogurt.

Business Owner

Brandon Narva worked in the restaurant industry for 9 years including being the General Manager of the Sundance Steakhouse and Country Club in Fort Collins, CO. Graduating from Colorado State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts-​Graphic Design; he worked on numerous local and national marketing campaigns as a creative director. In Chicago, Mr. Narva was an IT Consultant to various Fortune 500 companies as well as an Entrepreneur, being the founding partner of two companies.

Brandon’s wife, Medine, was raised in Istanbul, Turkey. She managed restaurants for numerous years and has a degree in Information Systems.

Good yogurt. Pretty standard for fro-​yo so you shouldn’t be disappointed. Great coffee! Don’t overlook getting your coffee here instead of Starbucks for once!

The yogurt tasted amazing, but they only reason that I put 3 stars instead of 5 is because you have to ask for a sample and it takes about minutes to get your sample because the staff has to grab it for you.

I have a sensitivity to dairy so I go to this spot for their dairy-​free fudge «frozen yogurt». It’s super tasty and the toppings are pretty good. I think the price is a bit high so I only go once in a while for a treat. For the rest of you lactards out there, I recommend this tasty treat.

A nice little shop in downtown Golden. They have a decent selection of flavors and toppings. The price is about right compared to most places I have been. The cashier was very nice.

This is your super average fro-​yo place. The flavors are nothing special and the topping bar is pretty small.
For the only fro-​yo place in Golden, it’s fine. There’s nothing about it to complain about. But when I dream of fro-​yo, this place leaves me wanting more.

We came to Golden for the Coors Brewery Tour. After the tour, we headed into town to find some coffee and something sweet. We found Goozell, and stopped in because it had everything that we craved. see
The three other people that I was with ordered coffee and seemed pleased with the quality. I had some frozen yogurt and some toppings. The yogurt was okay and the toppings were fine.
The staff was friendly, and the oddly were all in yoga pants.

So many good flavors here. We think it’s the best in the area. The only frustrating part is if you want to sample the flavors, the staff has to do it for you. Otherwise they have a great selection of flavors and toppings and everything tastes great!

Okay I tried. While nothing about this place sticks out in the world of fro-​yo that’s not a negative. Friendly staff, clean well kept facility and bathrooms, and as you would expect, plenty of choices to satisfy your sweet tooth.
The biggest perk about Goozell is the great location right on the main drag of downtown Golden. With plenty of free parking half a block behind the building, it’s the ideal summer stop to grab some yogurt and stroll down to the Golden river or simply enjoy a beautiful CO day.
Rest assured this isn’t my last visit to Goozell. Yo-​gutta believe that… sorry

Basically, Goozell is the only froyo in little old Golden. If you are craving some froyo, you can come here and get your cravings fixed. But, the froyo at Goozell is definitely not my favorite. I would definitely prefer Yogurtland. But, it’s a little bit too far to drive when you’re in Golden for school. In general, Goozell has all the basic froyo needs. And it’s not awful. It’s just not my first choice of froyo. I would definitely say it is a very average froyo experience.

So good! Cute little lounge area, friendly staff, plentiful FroYo flavors. The toppings bar is small but what they do have is very fresh and delicious.
The only thing I’m not personally fond of is the bathroom! The lighting changes constantly which makes me kind of dizzy.
I haven’t tried the coffee yet but the FroYo is so good. I’ll definitely be back.

Great location in beautiful Golden! The yogurt is average with the usual toppings and pay by weight prices.
This a self serve yogurt store that has its staff follow you around to dole out small samples. I assume they think customers will fill up on samples and not buy anything! How unprofessional! I frequent these types of yogurt shops all over American and this is a 1st. The teen clerk shadowed me as I decided my purchase based on my allocated samples. I ordered a large vanilla shake .paid for it in cash and promptly dropped it in the street. I will never be treated like a crook and a moron again. Maybe the Mines students have eaten larger samples… So deal with them. Not a 66 year old grandfather

It’s your typical frozen yogurt, pay by the ounce kind of place… but I love the fact that they had a play area for little kids, with toys, which helped occupy my 5 yr old. The staff was very friendly too. The place was clean and had a good choice of yogurts and toppings. No complaints!

Goozell is one of my absolute favorite places to go in downtown Golden. Whenever we have out-​of-​town visitors, the only three mandatory items on our agenda are:
1) Beers at Cannonball Creek Brewing Company
2) A walk along Clear Creek
3) Frozen yogurt at Goozell
Dead serious.
Perhaps it’s just because we have been there so many times, but all of the employees seem to know us, and they greet us heartily whenever we crash through the door.
There are a few staple flavors and a few rotating taps, and I have yet to taste anything I didn’t like. The toppings bar is huge, and the last-​minute drizzles at the counter are plentiful. The house coffee is also pretty fantastic.
So a quick recap: friendly staff, delicious frozen yogurt, plentiful toppings, good coffee, perfect location — how could you NOT give Goozell five stars?
(Also, other reviewer: one star because you didn’t get to serve yourself as many free samples as you wanted? Good lord, get over it. THAT MUST HAVE BEEN SO HARD FOR YOU.)

If you haven’t visited Golden, you really should! It reminded me in many ways of Carmel-​by-​the-​sea, California, with its small shops with a scenic backdrop.
After you’ve visited the Coors Factory, drop by Goozell. It’s the same premise as any other yogurt shop. You get a cup, you put frozen yogurt in it, you put toppings on the yogurt, you weigh your confection, and you pay.
The one main difference we noticed was that there were not sample cups and the selection of frozen yogurts was limited. Still, what better way to enjoy a warm Colorado evening than to eat some frozen yogurt as you walk down through Golden’s beautiful downtown?
This store is located on Golden’s main drag and there is plenty of seating indoors. There are about ten flavors and you can always get a mix of more than one (including the middle pump on each machine which will mix them for you!) There are typical toppings including candy, fruit, and syrups.
Overall, I recommend Goozell!

A fun and sweet component to downtown Golden’s charm.
This place has great flavors, an awesome mini buffet of the most tempting toppings (Seriously…ever want to throw a giant gummy frog on your froyo topped with fruity pebbles? This is the place to do it!), and a price that will leave you and your pockets full when you walk out the door!
It’s got a great little hangout lounge on the inside, a couple of tables, a kiddie hangout corner, and a community bookshelf.
The bottled water is pretty cheap and their coffee is pretty good. The icing on this delightful experience is that the staff is so friendly! Whether you have a sweet tooth or healthy habits, this place has some delicious froyo for you.

Standard yogurt place with all the mix’ins. A good amount of flavors to choose from, consistant, reliable, and plenty of mix-​ins/​toppings. The staff is always friendly. I love their outdoor seating option.
There’s nothing particularly special about the yogurt, but it’s my go to place for yogurt in the area.

I don’t really go to any other frozen yogurt places so this review is simply based off our experiences here.
The young staff is always friendly and helpful. They will help you with samples so you can decide what kind you want before pouring it.
I try to stay away from dairy so I’m crazy about their sorbets! They have 2 – 3 at any time we’ve visited and they are all absolutely delicious and refreshing. My boyfriend always mixes a couple yummy chocolate varieties.
The toppings are where they get you in price as they price your cup out by weight. I always put sour gummy worms on my small helping of sorbet and it comes out to anywhere from $ 3 – 5.
I haven’t tried the coffee but would like to someday! We love to grab our fro-​yo and sit outside with the dog on one of their tables along Washington.

I don’t typically like frozen yogurt, but this place was decent for the most part.
I appreciate a clean business as well. The restrooms were very clean as well as everything else here.
The mango flavor was quite tasty. The peach was refreshing. Chocolate was good, but the plain was just plain awful!!!
The fresh fruit options were a bit of a let down, I’m sorry to say. The bananas were slimy and brown. The kiwis weren’t even ripe. The strawberries were just about the only fresh fruit that was edible. I don’t like candy on my ice cream or frozen yogurt so was really looking forward to the fruit. Maybe it would be better on a day where they are changing out the fruit more.

I want to like it to be a «FAN» of this Goozell Yogurt, Golden, Colorado Location. Was here with M, after my not so filling dinner at one of the establishment near here. Saturday May 26th 2012. Time was at about 19:15hrs ish. Thankfully we had parking just across the street to this Yogurt establishment.
When we were there, I cant recall what flavors that was there, but at least the place is kept clean, bright and there are variety of Flavors of toppings to have such as the norm, gummy stuffs, fresh fruits, and even the Oozing BOBA with 2 or 3 Flavors. The cost of my purchase that evening was $ 6 with tips and tax. If I could recall properly my purchase of Yogurt consists of Chocolate, «Mango/​Passionfruit» Tart Flavors with Lychee and Strawberry Oozing Bobas, several Sour Gummy Worms, Kiwi Fruits and some hard candy.
M decide to fill her Yogurt purchase with fruits such as Strawberry, Banana, Blackberry, some chocolate chip. If I am not mistaken, M’s order of Goozell Yogurt was «Strawberry» of somekind…
Take note to self, next time if I were to return, DO Remember the FLAVORS and THE TOPPINGS. M and I decide to have our Yogurt dining in. From my observation, the staffs behind the counter aka register, are indeed friendly and welcoming. They even have the «ready made» YOGURT flavors in several sizes containers to-​go in one of the «refrigerated cooler sections» aka «fridge».
I am indeed a Happy Yogurt «Camper» after the Yogurt Treat I have at the Goozell Yogurt and perhaps can convince Hubs to go and grab some for me since he works nearby this area. 3.5 Stars for Goozell Yogurt. I think when I was there @ Goozell that evening, perhaps it was one of the «BETTER» aka «GOOD» days… Hmmm…
