Final Phaze Custom Painting & Remodeling

I honestly would give less than 1 star if I could. It was the WORST contractor experience I’ve ever dealt with, and I’ve dealt with a lot of contractors in my time. I hired them to hang 10 sheets of drywall, texture and paint. The guys are nice, but they DO NOT know how to drywall! Jeremiah said his «regular» drywall guy was having issues and wasn’t coming, so he did the work himself. It was AWFUL! I had a complete mess on my hands! I had cheaper bids but he said how he would be clean, how he would tape off the areas to keep it clean and I trusted in his explanation and thought he was an honorable guy and seemed nice. Not only was this an awful MESS, it turned out completely chaotic and it looked like it was the first time he had ever drywalled!!! I literally could’ve done better myself in ½ the time it took them! You can see every drywall seam on every sheet, 1 piece of drywall was offset from the next drywall sheet by almost a full inch (and he was calling it done!)! He didn’t know how to texture, we had him do orange peel to match what was already on the wall, as to not change everything, and I had clumps of texture bigger than the size of a quarter and dripping down the wall! Jeremiah sprayed texture on my new couch, all over my carpet, tracked drywall mud all over my house, painted on my newly laid floor, he laid his gross dusty, covered in drywall mud tools on my formal living room rug, with nothing under it, laid his ladder on top of my brand new couch and what makes all of this worse, is it was Jeremiah that did all of this, himself! Not even the crew, the actual OWNER! I had a full ¼ inch raised seam where he over mudded and didn’t sand it enough. There was a gap around 1 of the outlets that was over an inch away from the outlet box, you could still see the hole with a cover plate on it! I was so mad I finally just had them leave because they were only making it worse and I had to pay hundreds of dollars to have someone else to fix all his problems. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY If you want it done right! He tried changing the price on me and then tried to get me to give them more work and got very upset when I declined. I think the entire crew were nice guys, they can paint, but I WOULD NOT use them to drywall or texture!

Final Phaze is top notch. Jeremiah and his team are spectacular — professional, focused, committed and just go over the top. I had a pretty extensive exterior paint job which required a lot of work — I think it was more extensive than either of us initially thought going in. But, to Jeremiah’s credit, he went above and beyond and did extra work required (examples — in the front we have some wooden trellis looking planks coming off of the roof line. They were damaged and warped. Jeremiah took the time to really clean them up, use quite a bit of oil based primer and extra coats of the white to ensure they looked perfect). I also had some exterior painting done.
Besides being some of the best painters I’ve worked with (I’ve remodeled a home in San Francisco as well, and Jeremiah was head over heels better than many of the professionals I worked with there), he and his crew are trustworthy and just exceptional people. I am a single parent of a toddler — Jeremiah really went above and beyond to accommodate my schedule, respect my child’s nap time (and give her high fives!), and really help me with some extra things along the way that definitely were not part of the estimate.
I can’t say enough about this company and Jeremiah. They deserve your business — no need to look elsewhere.

They were very nice people but I tried to get an estimate and Jeremiah never showed twice. ½ an hour after his first missed appointment he called me and made an appointment for later this week; which he never came to or called to explain. Later on a person from the company called and apologized but at this point I’m looking elsewhere.

Jeremiah was great! He really did a great job making sure we were happy with the work, and really cared about the small details. I would definitely use Final Phaze again. Now we have the best looking house on the block!

Never showed. I took off from work after his wife confirmed my appointment a day prior and he was a no show.

I am a tough hombre on contractors. Jeremiah and his crew were punctual, good communicators, priced fairly and most importantly, paid attention to detail. Jeremiah went above and beyond touching up things that bothered him but were not part of our scope of work. Very happy with Final Phaze and will definitely use them again!

I’ve hired Final Phaze for 3 interior jobs now, and I couldn’t be happier. The prices were very competitive, but more importantly, the quality of work is fantastic. This is most obvious around the edges, where the work shows the most clearly. Their masking and edge work is basically perfect, giving a completely polished, professional look to the house. They rarely miss a detail, and Jeremiah’s follow-​up is very thorough, making sure you and he have gone over the whole job before accepting payment. I’m so glad I was able to get such quality work on my houses.

We bought a house that had some interior walls painted in colors that we didn’t like so we hired Final Phaze to repaint the entire main floor and upper floor of our house. We couldn’t be happier with the job that Jeremiah and his crew did for us.
Before we decided to hire Final Phaze, Jeremiah came out and looked at our house and by the next day, he had prepared a very reasonable cost estimate for us. Based on his promptness and cost, we decided to hire Final Phaze to do our painting. Jeremiah was happy to spend a lot of time with me discussing the details of the job (we had 5 different paint colors) to make sure that things were done right. He even proposed painting some accent walls which ended up looking terrific. The paint job is really professional, the transitions between paint colors, walls/​baseboards are perfectly straight and clean. Jeremiah and his crew worked really hard to get our job done quickly and were able to complete their work in time for the next set of contractors (working on the main level floor) to get started.
I highly recommend Final Phaze. I plan to have them back to do some exterior work in the Spring and some other misc projects this winter.

After a long and tiring search for a painter (and trying to paint myself) I got a call from Jeremiah. I had given a friend who said he knows a guy my number to give to his guy, and Jeremiah was that guy.
Jeremiah was out there that evening to give me a quote and seemed like a super cool guy and I hoped his services were priced about my other quotes or if I was lucky lower. Dude, I was lucky! Best price I had found out of 5 different painters, I actually had to ask if that price was accurate because it seemed too good to be true. So now we’re all thinking it’s b/​c it’s bad work so hence why it’s cheap. You’d be wrong my friend! Jeremiah and his crew (who were all very nice and professional) did an AWESOME job.
If you read my other reviews you’ll know I’m not very nice and have a huge temper but they didn’t spark my hulk rage, did a great job on my interior and exterior at a really reasonable cost and they even had to paint my ceilings 3 coats b/​c of an awful grey the previous owner had basement to attic the house painted in. Not to mention they had to sit there and listen to me ramble on about what paint colors I wanted and about my veggie garden (which has nothing to do with painting but I’m just so proud of it).
I only hesitate to write my 5 star review and let his good name get out there b/​c I still need him to paint my bedroom and master suite bathroom, and probably my office, basement and future nursery rooms. At prices that reasonable and professional quality there’s really no point of having me paint it or try and find something cheaper who probably would do a bad job.
