History

Established in 1934.

At the time our credit union was founded in 1934, it was known as Colorado State Employees Credit Union. In the early days, only active state employees could be members. A lot has changed since then, and today we are known as the Credit Union of Colorado, a name that better reflects our broad and diverse membership.

With more than 80 years of experience serving members, we’re proud of our strength, stability, and history as a member-​owned financial institution. And we’re equally excited for what’s next.
