Sad this place is closed, hope it’s temporary, quite possibly the best breakfast I ever ate. I had the opportunity of eating here the summer of 2013. The owner greeted us and let my dog eat with us outside on the deck.

Adorable, cozy setting, wonderful food made to order & great service! I had the special cinnamon roll French toast-​delicious & my husband had an omelette, but although both meals were delicious the bacon topped it all! Favorite part about the décor, a simple sign stating «Be nice or go away.» My kind of place. A true treat that the locals don’t mention when asked… they probably want to keep it to themselves!

Rollin In Dough Bakery & Bistro (RIDBB) quite literally helped make our visit to Gold Beach toward the end of summer 2013. We had eaten at a couple places that were fine, but were looking for something unique, local and that catered to my vegetarian wife.
It’s set back on a road off the beach (just prior to the bridge if you’re coming from the north), and so we found it by searching on the net, otherwise we might not have discovered it. My parents, wife and I first tried lunch, and happily enjoyed sandwiches on fresh bread and homemade soups. The owner Patty was so pleasant, even sat down with us for a bit to chat — we loved her.
We enjoyed lunch so much, that we returned the next morning for breakfast before heading to the red woods for the day. Patty was again working, and convinced us (without much trying :) to try the blintzes, biscuits and gravy, and a variety of other dishes. Oh baby! Breakfast was amazing — from scratch — everything was truly from scratch.
After breakfast, we ordered a few more pastries for the road (Patty gave me a free re-​fill coffee to go) and hit the road with full bellies and a happy mood. We’ve brought our experience at RIDBB up in conversation more than once since our visits, remembering the food and Patty fondly.
I’m a simple man, who enjoys simple pleasures — give me tasty local from-​scratch foods with friendly service and I’m yours forever.
Btw, based on another review and the RIDBB facebook page, it looks like Patty might be focusing on catering, a new dinner club, and something called the Country Inn & Cottage — so keep a lookout if you live or visit Gold Beach — I know I will when I return.

We were in Gold Beach for vacation and ate at this place many times. We kept coming back and now think of it often. This place is such a nice warm place with wonderful food. All the times we visited, we had brunch. A local jewel!

Delicious smoked salmon scramble… so hard to choose-​everything on the menu sounded yummy. We got some goodies for the road and I must say the brownie was one of the best I have ever had!
The service was wonderful!

I lived here for over four years before I heard about this place. I’m so glad I found it. The food is fantastic and the service is great. They have limited hours and a small dining room, but its worth it.
The pastries are fantastic, I sometimes stop in just for a pastry to go. Last time I was in I had a waffle with fruit topping and a side of bacon. The waffles are different from other restaurants. Somewhere in between the thin, crispy waffles and a belgian waffle. But it is soft and spongy, not crispy. Very good, I would definitely have it again. My only complaint was that there wasn’t enough fruit on top.

Breakfast was great! First off the coffee was superb. The omelets we ordered were delicious with their cheddar biscuit and potato wedges. Definitely will eat there again if passing through. Almost forgot to mention the very friendly and funny waitress.

Carla’s omelette was fantastic!!! Great biscuits and coffee too. The place is decorated adorably. The service was outstanding and so friendly!

Best potato Dill potato soup I have ever had, bar none. We had two cups for lunch and ordered more to-​go, for dinner.

Stopped in to pick up a couple of sandwiches to go, turkey club (cranberry mayo!) and salmon po’boy. They were outstanding! Cute, small and full of personality. Very friendly staff. We were able to wait for our order on the side patio which had a nice view of the Rogue River. Order a brownie for dessert, it melts in your mouth. Highly recommend.

Great classic music, local food, organic treats, and such a charming cute place. The food was great and everything house made. Loved the pastries! Can’t wait to come back

This super cute friendly bakery and café provided our yummy breakfast, coffee, and brownies for later.
It is tiny. Limited parking and no room for big groups. Maybe 10 tables total inside and out. They take credit cards but no Amex.
Hubby enjoyed a waffle with berry stuff on top.
Daughter had Carla’s omelet with artichoke hearts, avocado, bacon, and cheddar. It came with a cheddar biscuit and yukon gold potatoes. She was happy.
I had an apple and goat cheese omelet, also with a cheddar biscuit and potatoes. Yum.
The coffee was adequate. The counter held many tempting baked goods including chocolate croissants, scones, muffins, caramel pecan bars, and brownies. The brownies got us.
Totally cute place. Sssh. Its our secret, ok?

This cute little place is great and we always try to visit at least once on our annual trip to Gold Beach, OR! My husband and I both had one of the specials for the day. He had the ham steak breakfast with 2 eggs, potatoes and a homemade cheesy biscuit. I had the blintzes topped with fresh blackberry compote and sour cream. We shared a bit of both plates so we could try more food. Later when the FIL & MIL joined us on the peaceful patio they ordered the same thing and loved it too! Coffee is good and strong! A full pastry display entices you to take something yummy to go too!
Since RID is off the 101 by just a bit it doesn’t get that much traffic but if you’re in town and want a sinfully delicious breakfast or just a wonderful pastry to go swing by and give it a try!

It’s the kind of breakfast you want on vacation. Big, huge omelets which require a nap afterwards. All tasty, not award winning, but good enough. Any averageness in eggs though is made up for by the pastry shelf. You’ll want to bring a few home to nibble on throughout the day; I highly recommend the brownie, which is extremely rich without being too sweet. Yum!

This place is very simple and the pastries are homemade. I had the best wholewheat blueberry scone. They only serve regular coffee, but it’s worth it for the scone.

What a delightful taste of local color! :) The soup of the day was delicious (wild mushrooms mélange) and the veggie burger, though I am not a vegetarian, was a warm treat to a chilly and long day. Everything was absolutely charming about this place. I am so glad I turned around from the restaurant that I was headed towards. The place was cozy, the food was delicious, the staff was friendly and I had a great experience! Oh and everything is fresh and the cook/​owner is always experimenting with something new. A true little hidden treasure on my trip from Portland to San Fransisco! :)

This place is pretty adorable and the service is really nice. However, I felt like the food as just a-​ok.
I ordered a hamburger, which was humongous, but wasn’t great or memorable. I asked for fries and was told that they don’t make fries. First place I’ve ever been to that made burgers and not fries. My friend ordered the Thai coconut soup, and she really enjoyed that. Her turkey sandwich was so-​so. She asked for her bread to be toasted and was told that they don’t have a toaster. Kind of weird. Overall, we’d describe the place as having decent to good diner food.
Plus, this place is surprisingly expensive for the location. My burger and chips was $ 13. I realize that they use quite a bit of local and organic ingredients, but the food just did not warrant these prices.

I was pleasantly surprised when we stopped in for breakfast. The place was cute and had a nice atmosphere. I never order waffles in restaurants, but her fresh blackberry waffle sounded to good to pass up. It was a good choice. It was hot when it came out and was really good. The smoked salmon scramble was also very good.

We went to this place hoping for a nice breakfast after seeing their add in the Summer 2012 Oregon mile by mile guide, but instead found nothing but trouble.
Right away the waitress had a problem with us when we pulled up in our RV (full of 9 people) and took 3 of their 7 parking spaces. We have a handicap individual and needed to park close but the waitress assured us that the owner wouldn’t want us taking up all if those spaces and that we would have to move and park a block away. The building was also not terribly handicap friendly as the front drive was done in loose gravel and there were several stairs into the building.
The waitress was very put out that she had to rearrange the tables to accommodate our party of 9 (we took 3 of their 7 tables so what was the issue with parking?) and she proceeded to apologize to every customer who came in after us about the state of the place («Sorry. It’s usually much cuter in here.»)
The food was passable at best and the soup arrived lukewarm. We also tried several of the cakes and found them to be dry and unappetizing. When we misspoke and asked for a slice of the coconut cream pie we were snappishly corrected that it was cake not pie (isn’t the customer always right despite what it’s called?) The prices were a bit ridiculous as well for average tasting food. A cup of soup and ½ a sandwich for $ 10 seems a bit steep.
If you’ll recall, I said we had come for the breakfast we’d seen advertised in our magazine. When we arrived we were told that breakfast had ended 30 minutes ago and that we were out of luck despite there being no breakfast hours listed anywhere. It seemed unreasonable to refuse to make breakfast when ¹⁄₃ of your customers would prefer to order breakfast (did I mention we were the only customers for much of our meal?). Not only were we told there would be no breakfast, but we were also informed that the eggs benedict listed and pictured in their add hadn’t been on the menu for over two years. We were then told that our flyer was outdated and the waitress proceeded to grab the exact same flyer from the counter.
Between the less than stellar food and the extremely passive aggressive waitress I would definitely not recommend this restaurant to future visitors.

I spend 2 weeks every summer in Gold Beach. I have been here many times for morning pastries, which are beyond amazing, but I have never had a proper breakfast or lunch here. Today, I got a sandwich to take with me while I did my errands about town.
Now, I am born and raised in Los Angeles where I still live. I have eaten in the most ghetto of hospital commissaries to the finest restaurant in Paris and everything in between. This was the best sandwich I have ever had. In my life. Hands down.
It was a simple turkey on a croissant with arugula and homemade cranberry sauce. I will have dreams about this sandwich for the rest of my life. Granted, the $ 11 is cost was alarming, but ultimately, worth every penny. Highly recommended.
