Description

Specialties

Camp Huston is an Episcopal summer camp and conference center in the foothills of the Cascade mountain range, about an hour east of Seattle, WA.

As well as our summer camp program, we run family and adult programs year-round. Our conference center facilities are available to rent for religious, non-profit, and educational groups for conferences, retreats, and events.

Camp Huston is a part of the missionary outreach program of the Episcopal Diocese of Olympia. Our summer camp program is accredited by the American Camp Association. We love what we do, and we hope to see you at camp sometime!

History

Established in 1928.

Rev. Walter Horn gave the Episcopal Diocese of Olympia the land for Camp Huston in 1931, with the intention that young men could come here to learn how to be good leaders in their church. In 1935, girls attended camp for the first time and in 1956, the first coed camping program began. The camp maintains accreditation by the American Camp Association and now serves around 350 campers every summer, as well as countless non-profit, religious, and educational conference guests every year.
