I want to thank this company for going above and beyond today! Got the dreaded call from my son heading back to college (out of state) with his basketball teammate — that their car came to a dead stop in traffic in middle of busy roadway. A call that no parent wants to get! I called Hebert Towing and was put in touch with owner, Dave. Dave was extremely responsive and helpful and immediately sprang into action. He rescued the kids from the side of the road and delivered them safely back to college on time for their practice! Within 2 hours, Dave had addressed the car issues and made necessary repairs and even the price was fantastic! Can’t put a price tag on peace of mind! In my book, it is unheard of to have such terrific customer experience. I will be recommending this company to anyone from the area in need of a great shop! THANK YOU SO MUCH for putting this mother’s mind at ease!

I guess the owner bases his «great customer service» on being condescending and rude. Read my earlier review, and you will see EXACTLY what happened. Judge for yourself based on the other HORRIBLE reviews on this page and save yourself the headache. GO ELSEWHERE!

Although we allow you walk into our yard; we don’t allow you to pull the parts off yourself without prior approval. Normally, we ask that you come in and let us know the stock number written on the car or part (s) and we will be happy to extract the part for you.
((((Spoke to him/​an employee when we arrived. No one EVER said ANYTHING CLOSE to the above instructions/​wishes until AFTER we brought our parts up to the office. We had even indicated we were looking to pick the parts ourselves and no one said anything to the contrary. We like to do that, so we understand how the parts come out, to learn how they go in. Always respectful to not break anything.))))
Customer service is always our number one priority, so we make it a point to never approach anyone with suspicion unless we have it on camera. (This guy was just mad he was caught and wrote this in seeking revenge).
((((The man LITERALLY DEMANDED to search our car and tool boxes without even referencing any camera footage. He was proven wrong and instead of being cordial, he was still rude and condescending. Period. My reviews aren’t out of anger, they’re due to being offended that someone would act this way. I’m further offended that this company would LIE to discredit an upset customer, accusing them again, instead of trying to apologize or regain the trust of that customer. Both my Dad I and I would loose our jobs with a theft conviction, why would we risk that? My goal is to warn other people about the horrible service at this establishment, so they don’t find themselves in a similar situation. Ask yourself, the statement in parenthesis brackets above, does that sound like «great customer service» to you? Unbelievable!)))

(((Due respect, you’ve been in business for 50 years, because someone in the past did a MUCH BETTER job than you, and you either bought or inherited the business. Don’t kid yourself, you’re not wholly responsible for that. Ladies and Gentlemen, take it from me, this company is probably great to large account customers like mechanics and repair shops, but horrible to average wrenchers. I’m not the only one on here saying this, so that should tell you exactly what kind of business this is.))))

Have dealt with Hebert’s several times in the last few years. Picked up a part today and got the same great service I’ve come to expect from them !

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE
Customer service is close to nonexistent, what little interaction you will have is by staff that give the appearance they would rather be anywhere but there doing anything but helping you
What is FAR FAR worse however is the OUTRIGHT LIES you will be told in order to get you to buy a part.
I needed a BCM for a 96 Jeep. I was advised that it could be returned if it was incompatible with my Jeep. Turns out that I didn’t need the part itself, nor could I install it anyway because it would have changed my mileage, AND I would have had to have replaced or reprogrammed the chip I’m my keys. (I was advised of none of this by Herbert’s)
The day I took it in, with the receipt in hand, to return the part I was advised that they wouldn’t return it because it had been obviously tampered with, I was given some B.S. about how they mark their plugs and this one didn’t have any of their markings on them, the case itself was pointed out and the guy behind the counter told me it was obviously tampered with, he could tell by looking at it… Then came the giant lie… The same guy that sold me the part in Jan tells me «but even if it wasn’t, we can’t return stuff like this anyway, we don’t have a return policy for computers and brain boxes»
I know for a fact the bcm was not tampered with and while pointing this out to the staff and trying to ask clarifying questions I was brushed off and treated like I was trying to scam them.
I warned my mechanic that they just accused him of being a thief and he assures me they will not get his companies business anymore.
I will NEVER buy another part from them, EVER. I would rather buy a part brand new or over cost than return to this place.
They are liars and cons.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS

I called Herbert’s Auto after hours (around 8pm) intending to leave a voicemail about a part I needed for my car. To my surprise, the phone picked up and the man who answered was so rude to me about calling after hours. I apologized and explained that I thought it would have gone to voicemail, but no luck. News flash, you didn’t have to pick up if you didn’t want to talk. I have since taken my business elsewhere and had customer service that went beyond the call of duty.
