History

Established in 1997.

Cherie startedher own business in February of 1997, incorporating Abbey Graphic Design & Support Service in May of the same year. The first years were spent designing on the computer with her son on her lap. The business steadily grew and in 1999 it became necessary to move out of the home and into her first location on Alton’s main street at 207 E. Broadway.

In 2009, that location was hit by a tornado, necessitating another move to her current location at 3312 Godfrey Road in Godfrey, IL.

Business Owner

Cherie Schroeder started her Graphic Design career at MasterCard St. Louis, in internal marketing. Which means she was responsible for building employee excitement in the products they were selling over the phone. She took that experience and decided to apply it to her own business in February of 1997, incorporating Abbey Graphic Design & Support Service in May of the same year. Through the 18 years, Cherie’s love for design and business shows in her attention to detail and her constant striving for quality. It is evidenced in the two international awards that Abbey Inc. has won and in the pride her clients take in their new logo or marketing tools.
