Took me eight hours with the family to drive back from New York and we wanted something quick, pizza was the answer, I ordered a 18 inch cheese pie with half onions on same half green peppers I got a blob of onions everywhere and green peppers so thick and scattered everywhere it one half of the pizza was suppose to be cheese only… I am trying to upload a pic

Eat here often, always reliable. Pizza sauce isn’t too sweet, which is great. I recommend the Gnocci. Good service for a good price.

Food is pretty good but could use more seasoning overall. Had the fried calamari but wasn’t very tasty. The Stromboli was good. I had it with cheese, pineapples, bacon and mushrooms. The bread was soft. We also tried the crab cake platter. It was good, crab cakes were a good size. Also had the alfredo pasta, good but needed seasoning/salt. The marinara sauce is good. The pizza is always good, can’t go wrong there.

Being in the neighborhood, I thought I’d stop by to get a simple steak sub to take home with me to share with my husband. I’d heard great things about this place. They weren’t busy, so I ordered a steak sub(no cheese) with lettuce, tomato, onion, a small amount of mayo. The young man repeated back to me what I had asked for. When I went to pay, I noticed the bill was a little high,(also got 6 wings) but didn’t think about it. It was all packaged up perfectly, and quite warm, so I just wanted to get home quickly to enjoy our lunch. When I got home, I found something quite different from what I ordered. Had to go back online to see what it was called. It was some steak, a lot of peppers, mushrooms, onion, and lots of tomato sauce. The whole roll was completely mush. When I called to tell them, they said come back in. We were very busy, and didn’t have time to go back 20 miles to get another one, and they didn’t offer anything else. The sub was not that good. Tomato sauce everywhere. Wish I could of liked this more.

I’ve given this place a few different chances over the time it has been in Glyndon. The staff is usually friendly and the place clean. But after that, it really falls off. The presentation of the food is very bad, showing very little effort done in the kitchen. The wait times on food when the restaurant was not that busy, was not acceptable. If I was at a local deli or at some simple take out place, the bag of UTZ chips tossed on the plate would be fine, but not at a sit down Italian restaurant. Also, with out fail, in the 4 times I have been there, there has always been something simple that is out of stock. J&P falls very short of what Tonino’s provided for many years. The lack of a liquor license is perplexing. I am sorry to be on the negative side of things, but I gave the place a number of chances to do something pretty simple over all and I cannot suggest it to my friends.

Delicious Surprise! I work up in Glyndon and sometimes our office orders in lunch from J and P. On a normal day I’d rate the food about a 3. I usually stick to the Grilled Chicken Caesar salad but today they accidentally gave me a Grilled Chicken Greek Salad. The warm chicken melted the feta a little bit, which was so creamy and smooth that I didn’t have to use dressing. Best mistake ever!

My parents and I frequent J and P so much they know us by name ! Great customer service ! Friendly people including customers and staff. The food is always hot, fresh, amazing portions, sometimes I get more to order because I’m always eating. Today they gave my family and I a little something special. It feels good to go to s place where they know you and your family by name and face. Keep up the great work J and P ! Ill continue to spread the word around town. I am always a very happy customer. Much love

I was there 12÷6÷14 with my mom, husband & two boys ages 11 and 14. We arrived at 6:00 pm and the place was packed! The service was a bit slow, but the food was excellent! I ordered the Greek Salad with chicken – an option not I the menu, but the add-on was easy. The lettuce and cucumber were very fresh but the tomatoes were delicious! We also ordered the seafood medley – the scallops were tiny, but the dish was very good. Overall, a very nice dinner.

Place blows!!! The food is bad, the servers are not good and the prices are high for what you get. I have gotten carry out as well and it is just as bad. I think the management is subpar. I will not be back!!!

We have enjoyed the pizza but our last experince was pretty bad. I waited for 30minutes, about 10mins was waiting for my wife but then both of us sat, with a bottle of wine on our table waiting for service. I had to grab a waiter and ask to be served only to watch them give the young hostess a tongue lashing like it was her fault. I sent a message to their online site but it was ignored. The Hampstead location is much better. Looking for another italian rest in the area since Toninos closed.

The place smelled sour. At first I though it might have been some of the patrons but after they left, the smell was still there. The décor was crappy but look reasonably clean despite the smell. But we’re here for the food right?!? Pasta with veggies in a marinara sauce : Start with some rather bland base tomato sauce. Dump in some canned tomatoes and a few chunks of fresh tomato. Throw in some broccoli(why??) and mushrooms. Heat and serve over pasta shells. It was so fresh, I could still taste the can. Cooking broccoli in this acidic tomato sauce gives you that acrid aftertaste so many Italian dishes are missing. Round it all off by adding no seasoning and there you have it. They did have shakers of Italian seasoning, Kraft parmesan cheese and chili flakes on every table. Gnocchi: One word. Tough. No, wait. two words… super tough. I’m not Italian, maybe you’re supposed to swallow these things without chewing. Fettuccine Alfredo: Very garlicky. Other than that. Bland. Didn’t have the pizza but someone at our table did. Can’t say it looked any better than the rest.

Based on the reviews listed here I decided to give this place a shot. I’ve been very lucky enough to have authentic Italian cuisine, sadly it was not from illianos. This«eye-tallian» was neither good, nor appealing. I have NO problem paying for a good meal. i feel as though illianos owes me money back. The wait staff was pleasant, but that was the sole redeeming quality.

The wait service was terrible. The waitress watched as we sat down and did not come over until we had to go over to them and ask can someone take our order. The waitress we had was just not friendly and personable. Did not feel very wanted there. The thing that got me the most is that there bathroom is literally in their kitchen! That means when someone drops a dirty #2 the stench is going to seep into your food. If I were ever to order from J and P again it would be from the carryout. The dining room was just alright, nothing special. The food was pretty good. I got a chicken parm sub for 9 bucks. They give you a side bag of UTZ chips that holds about 6 chips in it. Next time i’m going next door to Subway and paying 5 – 7 bucks for a sub.

Been twice and I’m not impressed. Pizza so-so. Noodle dishes too much sauce not enough protein. Taste not so good.

When it comes to pizza, there are slim pickings in this area. The thing I hate most about moving to a new city or town is not knowing where the good food is. Unilocal takes a lot of the guesswork out of it, but I’m afraid there are still lots of reviewers out there with easy to please taste buds. I’m not a snob, but I believe in spending money on food that actually makes me want to frequent an establishment. That being said, this place has got it going on. Friendly staff who were cordial and helpful when I phoned in the pickup order(even when I called back to add an order of fried mushrooms to my pizza order because they looked so good) and were also nice and courteous when we showed up. I haven’t eaten in yet but I wouldn’t be against it as they are also BYOB which is definitely cool. The food was great, and hot and fresh and prepared in the time that was given when I placed the order. Hand tossed pizza dough will ALWAYS be tighter than frozen. I have no love for any of the major chains(Dominoes, Pizza Hut, and least of all Papa Johns) as they are just a lazy excuse for ‘italian’ food. Great mushrooms too. Nice breading, not too heavy, fresh mushrooms. Definitely not frozen, or if they were they did a hell of a job making them seem fresh. Don’t settle for a deal at a crappy chain because the Ravens won by xxx amount of points. Spend your calories more wisely for a couple dollars more.

J & P Illianos is a nice place with good food. The restuarant is clean and staff is usually friendly. Parking, however, can be a pain. The tomato bisque was delicious and their burger is also good. Their seasoned fries are great. You usually get a nice sized portion of food. My only complaint-if I ask for bread and it doesn’t come with the meal, let me know you are going to charge me for it. I’d just like to know before the check comes.

It’s hard not to like a neighborhood place. Everything is fine. Service, wait, food. I like all the different choices on the menu. I’ve been here dozens of times from large gatherings to intimate«dates». We’ve had good service on both ends. When they mess up an order they are pretty quick to fix it.

This J&P is great as far as I’m concerned. It’s BYOB which is different from the others, and the food is, of course, excellent. I used to work at the Hampstead one which is excellent as well. This one is just as nice, and the service is great. I love that their sauces are made on the spot, you can tell the difference. I just got the plain olé’ rigatoni with mushroom sauce, but I tell ya it was so yum. I was happy to know there was a new J&P in my area, great business

I’ve been living in the Reisterstown/Glyndon/Owing Mills area for about 2 months. I’m a pizza fiend and have tried all of the local pizza shops that are worth talking about. This restaurant(new building in a strip mall next to a Subway on Butler Rd in Glyndon) is apparently related to an existing restaurant called New York J&P Pizza in Hampstead. It’s in a nice new building — so they have table service or a take away/eat in area that’s very nice. I’ve tried the pasta(3 stars), the sandwiches(steak with the works, 4 stars) but the pizza is really the standout. You can order by the slice — $ 1.99 for cheese, add your toppings — but why would you. The crust alone is what you’re coming here for. Crispy but chewy at the same time — it’s amazing. Really nice slice, I give it 3 thumbs up. Staff is very nice, wait times are always very short, and there’s always soccer on in the takeaway area if you want to watch the beautiful game. I’m headed out of town — will miss Illiano’s J&P!
