We had breakfast here, we weren’t impressed. The service wasn’t prompt or attentive, and they were out of several essentials like orange juice.

The food is amazing here and the staff is amazing. We are here vacationing from Philly and we had a group of six one day and seven the next and they sat us immediately both days. The poached eggs are average but the biscuits and gravy is amazing! The hashbrowns are also really good. It’s just a great place although I do wish they were open later. Update: second time we went was ok. Not as great as the first time. Our waitress on the first visit was wonderful. She was a beautiful plus size girl with amazing makeup! The second guy with stretched ears was ok. He seemed rushed and frantic most of the time. Aside from when he took our order.

Made an early morning ride from Chesapeake and happen to stumble upon this place. Definitely quaint and great home atmosphere. Even the coffee mugs are random just like your own random coffee mug collection. Absolutely great food and great service!

This place has amazing breakfast! Better than IHOP by far, and the staff are always super friendly :) We had my step-mom’s 50th birthday party there and the food, service, speed was all fantastic! Amazing pancakes, eggs, hash browns, burgers, everything I’ve had here was excellent!

I live in the area, and have been here a few times. While the food isn’t anything to particularly write home about(Except the pie. The pie is great. The pancakes are good too.), it’s usually pretty good, and significantly cheaper than most places. I go here more for the atmosphere, though. This is one of those rare places where they remember a returning customer and treat you like family. The service is always great, too. My one problem is that the booths are kind of uncomfortable. But otherwise, I would recommend the Courthouse Restaurant to a couple or a few friends who would like to enjoy a nice breakfast/lunch/brunch in a warm and inviting environment.

Great breakfast… Cranberry Walnut French Toast. Yum The biscuits and gravy were a little peppery but nothing you couldn’t eat. All in all a great restaurant. Service was good.

Quaint little place to eat. It has that mismatch décor/coffee mugs giving it a small town vibe. Food was pretty good. The cinnamon apples were my favorite. Friendly staff. I give it 3 stars because our food was slow to come out and we never got our ticket so had to tell another waiter what we ordered.

Cute place that serves breakfast all day long. Well, I think they’re only open until 3 p.m., but still… Love the friendly people who work there. The food always comes out quickly and is hot and fresh. Great place to get a simple, yummy meal.

Food was ok. Not really all that being that the pricing was average. It may be just me but if I order toast and its served to me as just plain ol bread with butter then I expect VERY low prices.

Yay! Breakfast served all day at this new spot in Gloucester! We stopped here on the weekend when we were taking a side route home from Newport News to DC. When we’d finally given up, thinking there was no place to find a good breakfast, we passed by The Courthouse Restaurant. Breakfast served all day. Hallelujiah. The staff and owners were super nice. I had the biscuits and gravy, my favorite breakfast food. They were perfect. While my boyfriend was slightly disappointed that they didn’t offer waffles, he enjoyed his strawberry pancakes. Note to the restaurant: I’m only giving 4 stars because of the side of potatoes with onions that I ordered. I was expecting some home-cooked hash browns or fried cubed potatoes. These were dried, tasteless(probably pre-diced and frozen) cubes, and the onions that were scattered over them were barely cooked. If it were my restaurant, I’d chop and fry my own potatoes. They’re so much better when they are fried up on the grill. Good fried potatoes are something any cook should be able to make, and it doesn’t cost much to do so. Regardless, I’d definitely stop back for breakfast next time I’m in the area. Oh! We also ordered corn dogs for the road. They were delish. Greasy, tasty, corn-breaded goodness. :)
