At Mahaney’s Uechi Karate Academy we specialize in developing physical skills such as better balance, strength and coordination. More importantly we develop character skills such as respect, focus and discipline. Our mission is to assist all our students to bring out the best in themselves by being leaders in the community.
History
Established in 2000.
After running an after school program from 1998 to 2000 at the Rockport, Ma Elementary School, we opened our current location and have been here since July 24, 2000.

Business Owner
Mr. Mahaney began his training in Uechi Ryu Karate in 1993 with Ms. Nancy Gavenda. He now studies with Mr. Buzz Durkin and is a Fifth Degree Black Belt.
