Couples and families get to sail an immaculate 32-​foot sloop on the expansive York River near Williamsburg. Cruises run three hours twice a day at 11 am and 2:30 pm. Bring a lunch and drinks to enjoy the great outdoors and soak up a brief narrative on the Battle of the Capes and Yorktown Siege. Limit six people.

History

Established in 2013.

Capt. Bill O’Donovan spent years hosting advertising clients and news sources on his sailboat while publisher of The Virginia Gazette in Williamsburg. The same concept applies to Williamsburg Charter Sails, where hundreds of tourists and locals have found great satisfaction sailing in search of adventure, history, lessons and relaxation.
