History
Established in 1978.
The founders of Roaring Fork Furniture moved to Colorado from San Diego in 1978 for the cleaner air and slower pace. They built Roaring Fork Waterbeds (you remember the glory days, right?), the only waterbed store in the Roaring Fork Valley. By 1982, they had started selling furniture, and by the late 80’s, they had changed the name of the store to Roaring Fork Furniture and never looked back.
In 2016, we are still family-owned and operated, with the third generation entering the family business.
Meet the Business Owner
Scott and Nancy A.
Business Owner
Scott was born and raised here in the Roaring Fork Valley, and Nancy caught his attention after moving to Glenwood from California in high school. Not long after they married, they both started working for Nancy’s parents at Roaring Fork Waterbeds. They would eventually purchase the business, and are now continuing the family tradition, employing their youngest son, as well as their son-in-law and daughter-in-law. And yes, we all get along!
