Residence Inn Glenwood Springs

Great stay. Nice continental breakfast. Excellent staff with exceptional customer service.

When I searched for hotels to stay in the town of Glenwood Springs, there were lots of mixed reviews. Given this Marriott family of hotels was close to I70, I kept in mind that I was going to stay at the chosen location for a minimum of 3 days. The one night traveler, can have very different priorities from a one niter! Specially when traveling with family members.
This Residence Inn location will be more expensive, but well worth the money as you have a well kept facility which lacks nothing to a 5 star!

— Great mall right next to Residence Inn (Health Food Store, Target and more)
— Close to Carbondale /​Aspen
Cons:
— Serious Parking problem after 8pm. This facility needs more parking, ASAP. This is virtually the only drawback of this property.
— The luggage racks could be better managed as, the never ending story with inconsiderate guests are a reality of life in hotels. But some literally take the luggage racks into their rooms and forget there are other guests in the hotel
Overall, excellent experience in this property. I will recommend and will stay again! Hopefully soon! Thank you!

We stayed here while on a tour of Colorado, we had no idea how nice the rooms were going to be. If you are in the area and want to be able to spend as much time relaxing as sight seeing theses rooms are great. I was very impressed with the layout of the room. It was very functional for both hanging out and relaxing in the living area, cooking in the kitchen or taking that extra nap in bed.
The hotel was very clean and everything was in working order. The bed was comfortable and I love the pillows.
The evening gatherings were very nice and I had a chance to sample some of the local beers and food from a couple of local restaurants. The breakfast buffet was well stocked and was well designed to handle the number of guests that they expected.
While it is located a little was away from downtown, not really walkable, it is still located close to a shopping center with a lot of food options and a target for any shopping needs you might have on your trip.

This place is clean and relatively new (probably one of the newest in Glenwood). It’s a little out of the city, but I like it that way because it’s so quiet. Still within only 5 minutes of downtown. Plenty of trails and easy to go for a quick run. Starbucks is less than 5 minutes away— as is the shopping center. I always see lots of families here although I use it for all my business trips since Aspen is so accessible and Vail/​Grand Junction are only a hop away as well. Highly recommend if you’re a business traveler.

First and most importantly, What an amazing staff at this location! They all always went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect.
Our family had an extended stay at this location last month due to a move and what a great time! The rooms where nice and most importantly clean. Our family enjoyed their theme nights Monday through Wednesday and the breakfasts are very good also.
I will say I did give it one less star because the kitchen items/​utensils where minimal.

I booked this hotel by accident, I thought I had booked the Marriot Courtyard which is across the parking lot. My husband and I had never stayed at this type of hotel before, but it turned out to be a pleasant mistake. When we arrived to check in, our room wasn’t ready yet and we were told it would be about an hour. Not a big deal, we went on a hike and came back later. When we came back we were given a room upgrade for the inconvenience. We had a one bedroom corner room. We loved having the extra living room separate from the bedroom and the full kitchen. We could bring our leftovers back from dinner. The included breakfast was much larger than the usual hotel hot breakfasts and had a ton of options to choose from. The only cons we had was the coffee was terrible, we ended up going to a gas station to get better coffee, and the shower head was horrible. It has three settings and none of them are good for showering. The room was clean and the customer service was outstanding. If we go back to Glenwood we will stay here again… but bring our own coffee!

My family and I went for a weekend getaway everything started off OK except for having to wait for our room for 50 minutes after a 4 hour drive. Sara was really friendly and kept apologizing for the inconvenience. She was great with customer service. Things started ruining our trip once the next morning we noticed my little brother with 3 bites in his stomach to what looked like BED BUGS and I get that at a hotel that’s always a risk. I told Sara about it asking if they exterminate or anything. She left to the back I’m guessing to talk to a manager and she came back saying someone will come in to check the room from a certain company otherwise their maintance guy would because it was a Sunday. An apology would have been OK I mean he got bit. It’s not like I’m staying here for free. I’m paying my hard worked money. Afterwards, everything was ok the room got sprayed and checked or whatever. Check out day was the day my credit card got charged for the 2 room stay along with pet fee which was the 3^rd of August. Today the 8^th of August they charged me 200 $ extra for no apparent reason when we did absolutely no damage during our stay instead the bugs did to us! This «getaway trip» in the end was anything but relaxing. Who wants to sleep 4 hours away from home paranoid for bed bugs. Called in to complain about the overcharge and Victoria sounded careless and as if she was doing everything she could because she was not able to fix the issue with no manager around so that makes me 200 $ less until a manager shows up. Pathetic I though Marriott was better than that. Never had this issue with Hampton or Hyatt.

6 day stay here with 2 kids. Exterior and views are beautiful. Our room had all the amenities we need. The pullout sofa sleeper is a little on the thin side. We asked front staff if we could use some extra bedding and that helped a lot!
Breakfast needs to be improved a bit. The only great thing is the waffle maker.
Overall, staff is amazing and room was very clean.

Really love this hotel and the staff is super friendly they are also a pet friendly which makes it much easier if you’re traveling with a dog though their pet fee is pretty pricey. But since my stay was for 5 days it ended up being a pretty good deal in comparison to some of the other hotels in Glenwood who charge a per day fee which ends up being about the same amount. This is probably one of the best Residence Inn that I have stayed at it’s a super great bet if you’re planning on being in town for more than just a day or two. I would like to say that I didn’t think the bed was as comfortable as it should be but then again I was in a feather free room so perhaps the matt is different.

My boyfriend and I love staying here whenever we want to escape Denver and get up into the mountains. Glenwood’s hot springs are just around the corner, Hanging Lake hiking trail is 10 minutes away, and Aspen is only 1 hour away.
The staff is fantastic, and rooms have been very clean the last three times I stayed. There is an outdoor fire pit at night and an indoor jacuzzi to relax in. Some rooms have a fireplace and mountain views!

WOW! Was not expecting the hospitality and service I received here! Was staying just one night because had to teach a communications class and what a GREAT stay! Besides the morning full breakfast and the evening dinner social, with beer mind ya, the service was extremely friendly and helpful! Thursday nights staff was fun to talk to and David was pouring the beer! Even overheard a young family invite the staff to have some of the pizza they brought in!!! Stayed in a suite that was perfect size! Would totally recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in Glenwood!!!

Forget the bed and breakfasts in the area and stay here! It’s way more romantic — and private. You get the bed, plus a couch, two TVs, and a fireplace. Every room has a mountain view. And you get a good breakfast — eggs, sausage, bagels, muffins, fruit, yogurt, cereal, and oatmeal, plus coffee and juice.
The whole hotel has free wifi, plus your room has an ethernet plug-​in and plentiful outlets for charging electronics if you’re traveling for business or with the family.
Our room was clean, spacious, and modern. The bed and down pillows were so comfortable that it was hard to want to get up in the morning. The blackout curtains in the bedroom are very high quality and mounted properly so that they overlap. As a result, the bedroom is comfy and dark. Perfect for a romantic overnight stay.
If you forget anything or ruin a set of clothes by falling off a ledge while hiking, there’s a Target right down the road, plus some camping and outdoors stores, a Starbucks if you absolutely need your fix, and a casual Asian Bistro with a bar to fuel you up for tomorrow’s adventure.
Parking is plentiful, the staff is polite, and the pool and whirlpool are well maintained. Hands down, staying here is miles above staying anywhere else in town.

I’ve always been a fan of Marriott Residence Inns. This particular location sits next to a large shopping area in Glenwood Spring. The hotel is clean and modern. The rooms were large and cozy.
Note: For those runners… about a 100 yards down the parking lot there is a concrete bike path that takes you along the river. I went for a run in the AM and enjoyed the path and view.

The Residence Inn Glenwood Springs exceeded our expectations in every sense. The room (a studio) was spacious (~600 sq. ft.), laid out well (a sitting area was partitioned from the sleeping space by a low dresser and the tv swiveled so that you could watch it in your «sitting room» or your «bedroom»), and nicely decorated (granite counters in a gorgeous kitchen, pendant lighting, etc). If I were living in a studio, I’d want it to be just like this one!
The staff was also friendly and helpful. They assured us that every room was pet friendly and loved on our pup when he came in.
And the breakfast! I’ve never seen the likes of such a hotel breakfast-​oatmeal bar, cereal, eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, fruit, muffins, bagels and breads with a toaster, yogurt, coffee, juice… the list goes on. I was beyond impressed!
Hubs and I decided that we’d definitely stay here again (we ended up staying by chance as all other rooms appeared to be booked) even over some of the other hotels closer to town.
Hint: If hotel coffee isn’t your thing, there is a Starbucks in the nearby plaza. There is also a Target nearby should you want to stock up your kitchenette (We didn’t this time, but might on future visits.

We stay here at least eight times a year, typically for a week for my husband’s work. I work from the hotel with our 2 year old daughter. A 2 year old in a hotel room for a week is not easy, but the staff here goes way above and beyond to make it great every time. They’re always friendly, courteous, and on top of making sure we’re having a great visit. Our rooms are always clean, and the few problems we’ve had have been resolved immediately. Everyone we’ve encountered from the manager all the way to the facilities staff has been friendly and helpful throughout our stays.
The location can’t be beat, within walking distance to Target and many great shops in the Meadows, and a quick walk to downtown Glenwood.
The rooms are perfect for extended stays, with a full sized fridge, dishwasher, microwave, and two burner stovetop in the kitchenette. The kitchens are well-​appointed and well thought out. Again, very helpful when traveling with a little one.
When the room is too much, the lobby provides a great break. Continental breakfast, a nice fireplace, and even banquette booths complete with personal flat screen tv’s and power outlets for working are a nice touch.
Our only complaint, and it is a minor one, is the temperature of the pool. It’s cold. I’m sure it’ll be much more refreshing this summer, but in the winter, it’s a tough sell for not only a toddler, but myself as well.
We don’t even bother checking anywhere else. The corporate rate we get and the service are second to none in a valley where customer service sometimes can be an afterthought. Thank you Residence Inn!

I know my Marriott properties, and this one is a winner.
The Residence Inn shares a parking lot with the Courtyard (another Marriott property), so things are pretty quiet. There is plenty nearby should you have arrived unprepared — food, drink, pet store, Target, gas, etc.
Upon arriving, I was greeted warmly at the front desk and checked in with no problem. I was staying using a free night certificate, and everything was pre-​arranged — no problems, no questions.
I was given a room on the 3^rd floor, so I headed back the elevators. The property has two, and they’re of good size for a hotel. It’ll fit you, your luggage, and your family.
On to the room! It’s your typical Residence Inn room, complete with that famous Residence Inn popcorn. My room was clean and well decorated. The kitchen is spacious and includes a full size refrigerator, dish washer, and a small flat top stove. You’ve also got a microwave, plates, glasses (including wine glasses), silverware, coffee maker, etc. As with all RI’s, your internet is complimentary.
The bathroom is in two separate areas: shower/​toilet, and outer vanity area. Both were clean and well stocked.
The bed is between the bathroom and a large window, and both the bedding and the pillows were very comfortable.
I did head down to breakfast the next morning, and was surprised at how decent the offerings were. They had choices of waffles, french toast, sausage, scrambled eggs, red potatoes, oatmeal, bagles/​bread, yogurt, and pastries. You could also choose from three or four types of juice, milk (2% or skim), and coffee.

Second time around — and it’s still good!
The first time around, we stayed in a two-​bedroom suite. There were two separate bedrooms with their own bathrooms. Separating the two of them, was a kitchenette and a small living room. There was no bathtub in our suite, just a large (and I mean LARGE) walk in shower. The kitchenette had dishes, plates, silverware, coffee maker, dishwasher, refrigerator too. Very nice.
The second time, we had a one-​bedroom suite. Still, very nice too! Not sure which one I liked better. The one-​bedroom suite, did have a bathtub and shower combination, which I liked. We also had a nice fireplace. Although it wasn’t needed at the time of our visit, it was still nice.
Price — good. We actually found out that it was cheaper to stay a the Residence Inn by Marriott, than the Courtyard by Marriott.
Pool — inside, with a jacuzzi. YES!
We were able to walk over to Target, and get some groceries, so we could fix our own breakfast, or a late night snack. It is nice having a small kitchenette. Oh, the coffee that was provided in our kitchenette, was very good.
Interior — bright, cheery, comfortable. I do like their lobby, with separate seating areas to meet and talk. There is also a large screen tv, to sit back and watch the game.
Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursday nights — the hotel serves appetizers, beer, and soda. It’s free, and not too bad.
Parking — lots and lots of parking! No problem there!
Pet friendly — most definitely! The first time around, we brought out two boys, and it all worked out great, no problems. We were put in a room on the first floor, so it was easy to get they boys (our two dogs) outside, to go for walks, etc.
Clean, Clean, Clean.
Staff — very friendly.
Will we be back — oh, most definitely!

If it wasn’t for the thin walls and the stupid screaming kids next door I would give this place 5 stars.
I didn’t really interact with the staff so I can’t rate the service there either but the place was perfection.
The décor and furnishings are new and modern. Loved that I had my own kitchen and the maids actually washed my dishes for me! Usually at places with full kitchens you wash your own dishes. Not only do you get a king size bed but you get a pull out couch too!
I wish the cable had a bigger selection of channels but since you are suppose to be busy during the day, I could give them a pass.
The continental breakfast was grand. Had the usual bagels, muffins, cereal, fruit, but they had a make your own waffle station (whip cream and chocolate chips!) as well as cooked eggs, sausage, hashbrowns, 3 different types of coffee, and make your own oatmeal station. I was pretty impressed.
The gym was pretty big too. Tons of free weights, medicine ball, 4 treadmills, and an elliptical. A huge tv was installed in the room and each machine had their own tv as well.
I will definitely stay here again next time!

Didn’t disappoint was a great find. Beautiful little suite decorated in a contemporary style! Kitchen, king bed wireless, flat screen tv. Very clean, friendly staff, good breakfast, parking. Can walk to stylish outside mall with good restaurants. Safe area.
Won’t disappoint. A must stay!
