History
Established in 2007.
Zingarella; the little gypsy. The nickname given by my grandmother when I was a kid. Back in New York, I spent my days going from familyhouse to house, visiting, helping out and eating I would come home, and my grandmother would shake her head at her zingarella. I loved helping in the kitchen and was always at their feet in my apron, ready to stir the sauce or lick the bowl. I learned a lot in thr kitchens, not just about cooking but about the importance of family and tradition. After growing up I spent a lot of time traveling to different places. In all my travels, I was interested in the foods of the area, and more importantly, how food always seemed to bring people together. Local food gives a place its personality and charm, and gives its residents an identity and something to reminisce over after they have grown up and moved on. I want to have a place where I can share the foods my youth and travel, and they can in turn share their rich food histories and memories with me.
