The Wellness Source opened its doors to the Chicagoland area in December 2010. Dr. Nick Kuennen is the founder and owner of The Wellness Source & is the practicing physician at The Wellness Source.

Dr. Nick Kuennen has a deep passion for helping others and loves contributing to the health & happiness of his community. He is committed to learning how to help the health & well-​being of humanity, and finds it exciting and fun to see people transform their vitality. Dr. Nick & Ara are here to offer support, guidance and love to help everyone achieve their very best!

I feel like I’m in good hands with The Wellness Source. I have gained a lot of knowledge regarding health, well being, nutrition and self. I came in with neck pain due to sitting at a desk for over a decade. Staff assisted me in creating new habits, understanding how and why the adjustments and exercises were working to correct my neck and spine condition, ongoing nutritional needs, etc.

Dr. Nick Kuennen is the best chiropractor I know. He fixed my back. I felt much better after only few adjustments. He also knows a lot about nutrition and alternative medicine. Dr. Nick is well educated, informed and caring person. He also had lots of patience to answer hundreds of my questions. You are coming to the office sick but you are coming out healed. You can also participate in free work shops organized and run by Dr. Nick.

The Wellness Source is the 3rd clinic I’ve seen for care, and they are the best. They believe in educating their patients on healthy living overall and getting to the root of health issues. For years, I’ve suffered from headaches and dizziness that would occur randomly. I’d never gotten the true as to why until my evaluation with Dr. Nick and Dr. Lopez. I’m happy to say that I haven’t experienced any of that in 3 months since going to them consistently. I’ve gotten relief from some other health concerns as well. I’ve changed my eating habits and work out more. I am forever thankful to them for how they have changed my life. I recommend anyone to go to them as they are truly amazing!

Appointments when I see my MD go like this:
I check in with a person behind a glass at the front desk; I sit in a small waiting room with other strangers who are more interested in reading an outdated Home & Garden magazine than to talk to me; I wait and wait and wait until the gatekeeper finally calls my name; my weight and height get checked before I’m kicked back to the windowless waiting room to wait some more. Even after I see the MD, I feel frustrated, like I wasted 2 hours at the airport for a 20 minute airtime flight.
Appointments with my chiropractor at The Wellness Source go like this:
Dr. Lopez or Dr. Nick or Shannon are smiling, «Hi Gloria, having a fantastic day?!» And I can sit if I want to or jump on a Swedish ball and stretch with other patients until it’s my turn to be treated. Instead of being asking for my weight and height, I get asked how I’ve been feeling, if I have any pain anywhere, and how my diet and exercise regimen is going. I never feel rushed, I always feel like they’re listening, and I absolutely love that their clinic is like a tree house: completely surrounded by large windowpanes and perched over a grassy knoll and garden.
I highly, highly recommend this clinic. Not just as a place to receive excellent chiropractic care, but as a place to share and socialize with other people who are investing in their own health. I’m made more friends at the Wellness Source in the last month I’ve been a patient there than I have in the 6 months I’ve been living in my condo building.
Just an extra tip: go there when you’re having a bad day. I promise you that you’ll feel better and someone, whether it’s the Dr’s or the staff or a fellow patient, will hug you and remind you it’ll be alright.

I went to Dr. Nick Kuennen and Dr. Jimmy Lopez for headaches, shoulder, low back and knee pain. I’m so glad I did! I’ve never been one for medications (I don’t know anyone who enjoys them)-all they do is mask the pain, which means in the long run it is causing more damage and making the problem worse.
Dr’s Nick and Jimmy treat the cause of the problem, not the effects, by removing the interference and allowing the body what it needs to heal.
I’ve been to other Chiropractors with different philosophies and Dr’s Nick and Jimmy’s philosophy is «The Way»! They want all their patients to impower themselves by creating better habits for a healthier lifestyle.
Being under their care, not only am I pain-​free and in the best shape of my life, this adopted lifestyle has bestowed confidence in me that I have the tools to keep me and my family in good health for the rest of our lives!

I finished my collegiate football career with several injuries and conditions that requires me to seek chiropractic on a regular basis. I live in the city and that is where my chiropractor is but was in dire need of chiropractic assistance when i came across the Wellness Source a Chiropractic clinic in Glenview.
I met with Dr Nick Kuennen and after a complete evaluation he was able to adjust me. Dr Nick gave me some insight into what was causing my neck problems which i had not heard prior from my other doctor. I since have been doing some exercises at home that have improved my overall living. Thanks Dr Nick! To top it off i found out that Dr Nick has the ability to do adjustments in the city. I’m sold.
I strongly recommend these guys. They are professionals in their fields and i can already tell that they are masters of their craft.
