The Dry Cleaning Factory – Glenview

I have to agree with MANY of the reviewers here in that this is not a place to take your dry cleaning! There are plenty of other dry cleaners in the area that will take better care of you as a customer. I think the true test of a good service organization is how they treat a customer when something goes wrong. In speaking from my own experience, the manager (lady) will try to nickel and dime you for every last penny. If your shirt is worth $ 50 and they damaged it in the cleaning process, she’ll bargain to give you $ 5 store credit. That to me is rude and unprofessional. It’s ironic that you would treat your customers as such given that most of them are probably working professionals.

Just picked up my clothes and was so pleased that the cleaners were able to take out a nasty stain on one of my favorite dresses. I’ve been coming to this cleaners for a very long time (over 12 years). We continue to love the friendly service and quality of the cleaning. Lots of parking spots. The free hot coffee waiting for me when I drop off my clothes helps me get my day started. The express service drop off service is a real plus when I need to be on the road before I open. I especially appreciate that it’s open 7 days a week — makes my life easier.

This place has changed– I used to love this place but the service and the product are very poor now. Just picked up clothes and every collar on my shirts is off– they don’t sit straight and my husbands shirts actually have added wrinkles! Adding insult to injury the employees are quite rude– just a terrible experience.
I will say, the seamstress is quite good and affordable!

I brought my winter down jacket and it did not have any stains but just brought it for yearly cleaning. When i got it back it did not look clean and smelled musty and felt more dirty.
THE ONLY POSITIVE and I would give the seamstress/​alterations 5 STARS. She is very precise and does a great and neat job. I have brought my pants to get altered and I bring them here still even though I moved 15 miles away just because I trust her with my clothing.

I’ve been taking my dry cleaning here for the past year and haven’t had any problems with any of my laundered items. The turn-​around is fairly quick and the pricing is much more affordable than other dry cleaners. They generally have a special every month on a specific type of item that you can sleep for a reduced rate. I’ve even brought my designer labels here and haven’t had any problems! Definitely recommend!

The manager here clearly stated to me that he didn’t care to lose a customer. The dry cleaning is awful and have ruined plenty of shirts and they don’t care about fixing it either. Don’t waste your money and go somewhere else!

THERE ARE SO MANY DRY CLEANERS AROUND AND THERE IS NO REASON TO GO TO THIS ONE!!!
I would have rated the DCF Glenview zero stars if Unilocal would’ve let me.
I just received my dry cleaning back and DCF Glenview lost a matching belt for a formal dress. I called them to ask if they could please look for the belt.
First, they told me that I never brought the belt. I explained to them that I was positive I brought the belt in with the dress.
The manager told me that she was a busy lady and did not have time to look for my belt. Explain that I the dress is NOT WEARABLE again without the belt, and could she please look.
She said that she would look and call me back in 10 minutes. 20 minutes later, there was NO CALL BACK. I called the DCF Glenview asking for the manager to get an update. THEY HUNG UP ON ME.
I called back again asking for the manager, I explained that I must have been accidentally hung up on. THEY HUNG UP ON ME AGAIN.
I called the third time asking to speak with the owner. The man said that they did not have any way to reach the owner. I asked to speak with the manager again and she was extremely rude to me telling me that I was bothering her. I asked her to please look for the belt and that I would stay on hold. They found the belt. I came in to pick up the belt and the belt was thrown at me.

I have been coming to Dry Cleaning Factory for I believe over 5 years. Over the last year I have found the clothes cleaned not clean. An isolated incident is expected but the last few times I have had to return the clothes and have them redone. I have been told that there is no guarantee on spots but we are not talking about major stains just plain carelessness. I am told the help goes through each piece which is not the case. If so the clothes would be clean. I put tape on the spots and they still don’t get clean. It appears their sending off premise has diminished their quality. Although the other location was difficult to park in at least the clothes were clean. What’s the use of a 5 dollar discount per 100 when you need to take your time to go back and get things redone.
People have written about how nice the staff is. However I find them to be hot and cold. Furthermore I think it’s very rude and unprofessional to speak to each other in Spanish with long conversations. This is America.
Overall I have lost all confidence and at times the clothes look like they did when I brought them in. I have a lot of napkins and tablecloths to be done and no way am I using this place. It was embarrassing to find my tablecloth put on for Thanksgiving dirty. If a spot cannot be cleaned at least have the decency to put one of those «sorry I can’t clean you» tags.
Luckily I had the foresight the last few times to check my items before I left the cleaners and sent then back.
I know I am only one person but I have made sure to share my experiences with a lot of people and apparently I am not alone.

The staff is very rude and unprofessional. Every Sunday morning there could be 5 to 10 people standing out in front of their store waiting to get service. The lazy people who work there refuse to open the door until exactly 10:01am. They fail to realize they are not the only dry cleaner in Glenview. I personally will never use them again and would highly recommend not doing business with them. Very stupid and rude people. Horrible customer service overall. I wish I could give them less than 1 star.

I just recently had the worst experience had would NEVER go back. When I walked in the owner was very arrogant about when I asked the check in clerk about the few spots on some items. He said of course they would come out. He then proceeded to put down my former dry cleaners where after 25 years I have not had one problem. The only reason I tried them was it was close.
I was told I had to pre pay which made me nervous as I was concerned about the spots. I also had one alternation which was not done and completely over looked.
When I picked up the pre paid items one of the shirts was ruined as it still had a huge spot/​streak doing down the front (throw it out), the other items almost looked as if they hadn’t been cleaned, filthy pants on the bottom, still the stains were there etc.
When I complained to the clerk (who was very nice) a «manager» started talking over the two of us. I asked her to please let me finish my conversation as we were in the middle of going over the stains etc.
I then left my phone number for the owner to call me. He did. His voice mail was rude, he was insulting, and hostile. He told me he didn’t want my clothes (that I had already paid for) and didn’t not even offer to fix them.
I have never been to any retail establishment where there was no code of conduct. I asked a customer if she had issues with getting stains out and she said no.
My former cleaners (voted the number 1 in the City) and I have never had a problem in over 2 decades. The owner of DCF told me to take it somewhere else to get cleaned. Believe me I will and I hope none else has to go through what I did.

First time using this place, WILL BE LAST. Picked up the clothes, I had an order of 3 suits, 3 slacks 3 French cuff dress shirts, when I got home I noticed one of the suits from my order was missing, makes me mad because I wanted that suit in particular for Saturday night. I called there and after 3 minutes of «are you sure sir», «you picked up the order», are you sure you left it with us”. Fighting off Fbombs I calmly ask, sir could you please check, maybe there is a slim possibility you forgot to give the suit to me, as I stated 3 minutes ago. Why is it that many retail counter people are programed to not accept responsibility, it’s pathetic. Finally Mr. wonderful checks and come back to say, «yep, got it right here, ummm, were about to close now so you better hurry». I work in Glenview, I live in Gurnee, so no s*&% for brains, I won’t be able to get there before you close. No offer of a discount, seeing as my experience was crap. No I’m sorry, nothing!!! Just a «I dunno know what to tell ya» Bullshit attitude. Never use this s&%$hole again, and Ill definitely mention it in the 4 networking groups I’m in in Glenview, so that the 200 + members will know to not use this crappy Cleaners. Thanks for nothing

so, they say the deodorant my husband wears is the reason the underarms of his shirt came back shredded. (apparently he wears razor-​blade deodorant!!) when trying to call, show up, write to the owner, no one responds. the shirt has stripes of torn fabric in the arm pits. only been washed/​laundered 7 times in 1.5 years. since their move it has gone down hill. Looking for a new, kinder, more responsive place to go. DO NOT GO THERE!

DO NOT BRING YOUR DRY CLEANING HERE. The Dry Cleaning Factory has lost it’s ability to clean since their move to the new location. My shirts come back with dirty collars and I was told to Pre-​treat them before I dropped them off. The Dry Cleaning Factory ruined my suit and said the fabric faded. I took in my comforter it came back 3 times with chemical rings. This visit has cost me $ 400. I called for a manager no managers on duty. I was their customer for almost 2years. I HIGHLY DON’t recommend The Dry Cleaning Factory. They also own Greener One Price Cleaners in Morton Grove-don’t go there. THE OWNER DID NOT EVEN HAVE THE AUDACITY TO CALL ME TO TELL ME THEY WILL NOT BE ACCEPTING RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE DAMAGES. DO NOT BRING YOUR DRY CLEANING HERE, OR TO GREENER ONE PRICE CLEANERS IN MORTON GROVE.

I have been using DCF in Glenview for my dry cleaning needs exclusively for 5 years. They’re good, they’re inexpensive, they’re fast, and I wouldn’t recommend any improvements. The tailor, Ran, is my favorite, always helpful, always does exactly what she says she will, all the time. The staff at the front counter is courteous, polite, and most of them speak English! lol I’m going there now to drop off my monthly dry cleaning. Keep it up DCF in Glenview!

It’s now 3 yrs. later, and this has become my go to spot for dry cleaning. I have not had any pins attached to my clothes in strange places anymore. The prices have come up a bit, but my experience is the cleaning is better than before. I have experienced much less fading, even with articles that are dry cleaned frequently. I can honestly say they have improved over the years and I’m very happy with the service.

They upgraded to green dry cleaning.
They recycle hangers (which they did back then, but I forget to mention)
They have a rewards program with their Express Drop Off service
Monthly specials on coats, rugs, comforters, and sweaters!
Enjoy a cup of coffee!
The service is fantastic. Friendly and fast drop off and pick up. Clothes are always there by the pickup time.

HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE. Lost my fav sweater, not even an apology, a phone call back, or a credit!!! Don’t do it.

We have been customers for about 4 years and love them. They have good service and are very friendly! Easy drop off and pick up.

How is it that a girl can fall in love with dry cleaners?
Let me tell you.
1) Express drop off. They give you two big purple bags after you fill out some paperwork, and all you do is drop off the bag, and they automatically charge your credit card.
2) They have great monthly specials such as a comforter for $ 5.
3) They recycle hangers.
4) The tailor on premises… as mentioned by Giselle.
Note: my hubby gets fussy when they wrinkle things occasionally… doesn’t really bother me.

All your dry cleaning and tailoring needs fulfilled under one roof. The tailor was recommended to me from another glenview local. The tailor Ms Jung Park was why I originally came to this place and her prices were reasonable. She is very knowledgeable and skilled in her trade. The charges for a dress that I needed tailored last minute were well below what was quoted to me by other area tailors. She has listed hours of service different from the cleaners, but she was available for consult even though she was technically not suppose to be there.
As for the dry cleaners the facility is efficient except for one snafu. (I needed dry cleaning done the next day but it got mixed up with my tailoring order which was to be finished in 3 days, anyway, I was still able to pick up my full order the next day, just later on in the day). The only thing about the place is the parking. There are only a few spots in the immediate front of the building and getting out can be kind of tricky if cars are coming in from the busy Waukegan street. A parking lot sits immediately north of the building.
