Welcome to Poko Loko Early Learning Center, a child care facility located in Glenview, IL. We specialize in infant and toddler daycare, preschool through kindergarten education, and have full day and half day programs available. We have two additional locations in Wheeling and Libertyville, IL. Our certified staff is trained in quality, individualized care and education for all children. Our main goal is for your child to be happy and secure while away from his or her parents. We wish to keep your child safe and help maintain their good health. In addition, we hope to teach cooperation, sharing, and communication skills, as well as other preschool tasks through creative educational activities. Our curriculum is theme based and includes a variety of topics, thus helping to ensure a well rounded child who is perfectly ready to enter grade school.

This daycare was recommended to me by a coworker, whose son attends full time. I have 2 year old twins that have been attending for a month now, and I couldn’t be happier with our decision to send our kids to his daycare.
Jennifer, the school director, is sweet and caring. And my son and daughter’s teacher truly cares about our kids. They sing songs and create art projects everyday. They have learned so much in just a month. I would definitely recommend this daycare to anyone that is «shopping around.»

Both our sons attended Poko Loko, the oldest for 5 and a half years. We are sad to be leaving (moving). All of the staff is wonderful and caring. It’s like a family environment. Teachers have many years of experience and there is very little staff turnover.
We especially liked the open concept in the baby school building. We’ve known that our children were safe, happy and engaged. There are special activities during the week (Spanish, music…) and lots of fun field trips.
We didn’t know we’d have a child with a peanut allergy, and are grateful that Poko Loko is nut free!
Our other child had a medical emergency while at Poko Loko. It could not have been handled better!
The school is cheerful, bright and filled with happy children.

Poko Loko is a home away from home for my kids. The staff is consistent, the communication is good and the interactions are positive. I appreciate the way the staff gets to know the children as individuals. I really appreciate how many precautions they take with safety. I really feel fortunate that my two children attend daycare here.

We had our child at two other daycares before this one and boy are we glad she’s here now! The staff is concerned and caring. It’s safe, clean, colorful and engaging. It’s worth the price.

Looking for the right daycare is always difficult for your child. I’m sure you’re aware of the questions and then some.
— How are the teachers?

— Will my child be treated with respect?
— Is it affordable?
My wife and I spent a long time, searching and investing the necessary energy to find the right fit for our 3 year old daughter. I’m glad we settled on Poko Loko.
It appears that every staff person is invested in their students. It’s nice to know that from the moment you step in the door in the morning, the teachers make your child feel welcomed. And it’s not only the teacher assigned to your child that know her/​his name, but other teachers and administrators as well.
One other thing, is that I can appreciate the integral Spanish classes taught along side the regular lessons. Added bonus!
If I could give a rating of 6 stars, I’d give it 7.

We love this day care! It is so bright and eclectic. No white walls anywhere. Our son started in the infant center just this year. He is very happy there, and the teachers are wonderful and great! No complaints.

My daughter started at Poko Loko in May 2010 after being at home daycare. I was worried that it would be a difficult transition for her, being 3 years old and never having been in a daycare setting. The staff at Poko Loko did everything they could to make my child feel welcomed on her first day and beyond. She has had 5 teachers since then (4 different rooms) and each and every teacher was just wonderful. They all truly love what they do and love their children. I can’t say enough about how great this school is and how much they have taught my daughter and got her prepared for kindergarten. She knows more spanish then I do and I took 7 years of it in school! Her math skills are excellent for a 5 year old as well. She has made many friends and we have made some great friends with parents. I would not hesitate to send your child to Poko if you are looking for a great environment!
