Nina is absolutely amazing. She did décor and flowers for my wedding and I could not be happier.
I am one of those brides who had no idea what I wanted but I knew what I didnt want. Nina was great in helping me figure out what I want, she was very easy to work with, flexible, patient and understanding and always on the brides side :)) She knows what she is doing, so just trust her and everything will be great. She will work with your ideas or your lack of ideas (in my case) and your budget. She is not pushy (unlike other places), so the whole process is painless and stress free.
We rented a chuppah, did flowers and centerpieces and flowers for the ceremony. Everything looked breathtaking and we got lots of compliments from our guests.
If you need a florist, this is the place to go.

Oh, how I love Nina. The décor and flowers she designed for our wedding were exquisite, but more importantly, she was so easy to work with. She was flexible and explained everything really well. She had so many examples and samples of her work, it was easy to understand what everything would look like. Once our wedding day came, there were absolutely no surprises. Nina made everything look outstanding. We would hire her again in a heartbeat.

Nina is amazing! Thank you, Evanston Flower & Gifts! During the busy holiday I ordered flowers and didn’t realize the intended party had already left town. Nina coordinated to send them again once they were back in town. It meant a lot to me that they made this extra effort and I’ll be sure to order from Evanston Flowers & Gifts in the future. Just one note, the website is a little confusing and it’s hard to tell that you deliver fresh flowers in addition to providing flowers for events.

I loved working with Nina from Nilee Event Décor. We met before the wedding day, and she was extremely helpful in suggesting various flower options. She was very flexible about delivery times and delivering to Hyde Park area.
Her flowers were absolutely beautiful and extremely fresh. They stayed so for a long time after the wedding.

Cute place, cute stuff, great job!

I used Nina and her flower shop by recommendation of my wedding planner for my ¹⁰⁄₂₀₁₂ wedding. It should be said that I was not the typical «happy blushing bride». I did not have fun in the wedding planning process because I wasn’t able to put the rest of my CRAZY life on hold to wedding plan so it was a very inconvenient thing to fit into my busy life. This being said, Nina handled my crazy with absolute poise and grace. I am not a huge flower person in general and the first time my now husband got me flowers I told him to not waste so much money on things that die in a matter of days… so, this being said… Who knew I would pick the most expensive flowers for my dang wedding? I am APPALLED at how much flowers cost in general and this event was no exception. YES they were beautiful YES she did a GREAT job but MAN these things were not cheap! I spent more on flowers and pin spotting than I did on 2 full blown photographers for 12 hrs (my cityscape engagement session included price wise but not in those 12 hrs mind you). So if you’re a flower person and you get /​accept the price of flowers etc… then Nina should be on TOP of your list because she really does do fantastic work. If had to do it again though I would have found a way to make my own bouquets and been more of a minimalist for table pieces and saved a TON of money… even if they looked worse. It’s one very quick day and right now where we are in life those thousands of dollars would come in SUPER handy!

Nina was very accommodating when I changed plans last minute and decided to alter my order. She was always professional and prompt and flexible with all my requests. She was very easy to work with through email even when planning from California.

Nina did an absolutely fantastic job with the flowers for our wedding. She not only delivered a strikingly beautiful result but was extremely helpful and wonderful to work with. We were planning the wedding from out of town, and she worked around our schedule to give us plenty of time and attention when we were in Chicago. She was also a great listener from the beginning, and did a great job translating some of our somewhat funky and nontraditional ideas into flowers that were far more beautiful than anything we could have imagined or described ourselves. In the end, we got countless compliments on our unique flowers from guests with a broad array of tastes, and most importantly, we loved them ourselves! You can’t beat Nina’s work for beauty, service, or value!

Nina is great!
At first I went to another florist who scared me with unreasonably high prices for simple things. I had a very small budget for flowers and actually started to worry that I won’t have all the things I wanted.
Nope! When I went to Nina she clarified the budget and was very helpful working toward it. She fully understood the atmosphere of the place (Old Gallery) and gave great suggestions. Everything turned out magical! I was one of those bridezillas who change their mind week before the wedding, but she had no problem with that. She always was optimistic and considerable of all of my suggestions. I would definitely recommend her for any occasion.

I will not get flowers from anyone else but her from now on!!!
Referred by a friend, who was a florist for her wedding, I can consider myself very lucky to have worked with Nina! She is the sweetest, and truly wants you to have the wedding you have always imagined. She works with your budget, not compromising on the end result! One other huge plus, both my husband and I are procrastinators, and we have contacted Nina two weeks prior to our wedding, not only have we changed our minds on a few things multiple times, we have asked for additions three days before the date… almost seems impossible, but Nina came through, with no complains, no additional charges because of last minute, and everything was even better than what I hoped for!

Nina @ Evanston Flowers was great and easy to work with. She did flowers/​décor/​Chuppah for our wedding. She was accomodating, helpful, and creative. The outcome was beautiful — I loved my flowers! She was willing to work within my budget. She was responsive. We had a minor glitch — for some reason we miscommunicated, and my Chuppah was all white instead of having greenery décor. It was still beautiful, and I don’t think anyone (except for me) realized it.

As a wedding planner, I am constantly coming across brides that are in need of a great florist. I have worked with Nina over the past 2 years and I have to say she is one of the best! At the consultation, she really takes the time to get to know you as a person and you walk away feeling like you have just spoken with a friend that is extremely knowledgeable about flowers! Every wedding she does is tailored to each individual client and she is not afraid to suggest different options that will help each client’s unique vision come to life. My mom initially contacted two florists with a list of the types of flowers and chuppah I had in mind for my wedding. The first florist gave an astronomical estimate and said, «your daughter wants too much.» Nina, on the other hand, gave a perfectly reasonable estimate and had everything I had hoped for, including an elegant birch tree chuppah.
We met with Nina on two occasions — for more than two hours each. She made sure she understood every detail and offered helpful options and suggestions. She worked with our budget and went above and beyond to stay true to our vision. I was thrilled with the results as were our wedding guests, who kept complimenting our chuppah, bouquet and centerpieces.
Nina was available and responsive throughout the planning process even when I know she was swamped with other clients. I would confidently recommend Evanston Flowers to any bride and plan to order from Nina for other occasions!

Amazing! I called from California to send a friend flowers who is sick and we had a miscommunication about drop-​off and Nina took them there herself after hours! The delivery had gone out for they day, but I really wanted to get them to a friend and she personally delivered them. Amazing service. Thank you so much!

Nina is great! She is the only florist I met with that listened to my lofty ideas AND my tight budget. She was creative and resourceful about the flowers and materials she used in order for me to get the best flowers that I could afford for my wedding. I thought after meeting with other florists and studying every single bridal magazine out there, I’ve seen it all, but Nina’s ideas really surprised me. I agree with one of the negative reviews that her contract was not as detailed as one might expect, but as with any vendor, you need to develop a relationship based on trust. I didn’t want to pay twice the price for a contract on pretty stationary, so I went with Nina. My flowers were amazing. They were delivered in great condition and on time. When my husband’s boutonnière lost a petal, she was there to replace it with an extra one. Nina stayed after the ceremony to rearrange the room for the reception, but what makes me want to give her a 6^th star is that she helped the caterers set up the food when they were running late! What other florist would do that?! I highly recommend Nina because she was excellent to work with and she delivered above and beyond expectations.

I must agree! Nina is a great florist! She did my wedding in 2003 and I have since recommended her to at least 4 other people (Jessica O. being one of them) :) and she did an amazing job every time!
In addition to weddings I’ve ordered bouquets from her for other occassions, some happy, some sad, and every time the flowers were very appropriate and beautiful.
Most importantly, she is so nice and easy to work with! I heart Evanston Flowers!

Nina is my personal hero. She did an AMAZING job with my wedding flowers, and I have to say that not once did I feel like she was actually a vendor. I felt like she was a friend that was helping me on this day, and I never once needed to worry about whether or not she would come through. I paid her cash in full before the event, and didn’t even worry about her letting me down. My flowers were gorgeous, she went above and beyond, and did more than I even expected or paid for! I would recommend her to anyone and everyone that needs florist services.
