Mondlock Construction renovated three baths and an apartment kitchen for me as well as replacing four large sets of windows. The work they performed was superior in every way.
The builder of my home took a few short cuts and for some reason the city inspectors didn’t catch the issues. So I knew I had an issue with leaky windows but as it turned out, the builder did not use Tyvek or a similar product. So the framing around the windows behind the siding was rotting. These guys know how to do things right. Mondlock removed the vinyl, redid all the wood, applied insulation and Tyvek, and then put in the windows, caulking all around them. So now the windows not only look great, I have peace of mind knowing the job was done the way it should have been done in the first place.
As for the rest of the work, they designed a beautiful floating vanity for me with drawers that are cut out in the middle to go around the pipe. The tile work is spectacular. When I had an issue with moisture in my new bath, they identified the problem quickly. Again it was the original builder taking a short cut venting both the dryer and bathroom fan out of the same vent and the dryer vent had become clogged after many years and so the moist air was returning into the house via the bathroom fan. They separated the vents, cleaned the one connected to the dryer, insulated, fixed the drywall and repainted.
If you don’t have any experience, Pete Mondlock, the president, will work with you giving you places for tile and cabinets. He manages to get decent prices for you. We redesigned the apartment kitchen to allow for more counter top and storage space. The granite counter tops look amazing as does all the tile work. We added more lighting (task, cans, and pendants, and it made a huge difference. I couldn’t be more pleased.
The crew is hard working, friendly, knowledgeable and very professional. They show up, follow up, think on their feet as issues come up, clean up after themselves, and are dependable. I look forward to working on more projects with Pete and his crew in the future.
