I could give this office 5 stars, but have some reservations. Our family recently moved to the area and went in for simple cleanings and exams. It went well, nothing extraordinary. Dr Harada does seem to have a big experience. After the visit, I was surprised to see a bill that was more than 30% more expensive than our previous in-​network doctors. Since all my previous doctors were in-​network, I assumed that Dr Harada was also in-​network for Delta Dental, since most doctors are in-​network now. Anyway, the front office never warned me, and so I ended up with the much higher bill. Yes, I didn’t ask them if they were in-​network but I trusted them to warn me of higher charges if any. In any case, I would love to just be aware of their higher pricing. When I notified the office, they told me that I need to know my insurance, and maybe it is true partially, but I would hope that they still warn me as they deal with it everyday. I only switch doctors once in a long while, and they deal with insurances every day. BEWARE, this office is NOT IN-​NETWORK

Okay, Dr. Harada is not the cheapest dentist in our area. But I go back to him every time. At my age, I can’t take chances with dentists and Dr. Harada is so detailed, thorough and attentive. I told him that I smoke the occasional cigar. .. so he immediately does a screening of my gums. I mentioned that I have a herniated disk, so he tells me to take a break in his mechanized chair that inverts to relieve pressure on my spine! Lol. Love his meticulous work, kind disposition and the professional staff.

Dr. Harada has been my dentist my whole life.
I have nothing but nice things to say about Dr. Harada. He is a professional at his practice but truly is a friend to our family. My parents, siblings, aunts and uncles, and now wife have been coming to his office for the longest time. Dr. Harada has a great culture at his office and the staff that work here exude this positive energy in every way. I can’t explain how much I trust Dr. Harada with his practices and guidance when it comes to dental work. He is extremely knowledgeable and compassionate when it comes to understanding his patient. He makes every visit personal with his care as well as his conversation. In most cases people dread going to the dentist but I would say most if not all people that come to his office look forward to it.
As a bonus Dr. Harada is an avid sports fan and follows Big Ten sports. Personally, its nice to be able to have something to talk about every visit other than my dental health. Dr. Harada is an Illini fan and I am an alumni of The Ohio State University so we always have something to talk about when it comes to basketball and football.

Dr. Harada has to be hands down the best dentist I have ever experienced. Wonderful customer care and attention to detail. He sends out welcome letters to new patients, calls before the first visit, and calls to check up post procedure. Everyone in the office is friendly and professional. I agree with the other reviews — he is upfront about charges, fair in his assessments, and practices careful gentle dental work. Wow. I had a crown put on a few years ago elsewhere and I had such pain during and after the procedure. I could have napped during my recent crown at Dr. Harada’s — very comfortable — no pain during or after. Highly recommended!

My past dentist retired and I felt that the dentist who took over was more interested in providing an upscale practice instead of providing basic dental needs. I was referred to DR. Harada by a dental hygienist who has known him for years. My visit was a pleasant one, starting with an on time appointment and a complete detailed exam. Dr. Harada explained everything in detail on a level that made things easy to understand. No hard sell, his office may not have the TV’s and sound systems, but that is not why I go to the dentist. All I am looking for is good, honest work at a fair price. He instills a high level of trust and professionalism during the exam. His staff is also very professional and friendly, they make you feel very comfortable.
I am very happy to refer people to him.

Dr. Harada has been my dentist for almost 10 years. I agree with all the 5 star reviews. He is not only very honest and detailed but also kind and gentle. He will walk you through every procedure that you go through and provides you with different options beforehand. I trust Dr. Harada’s suggestions and he always makes me feel comfortable.

I hate going to the dentist. I’ve had some bad experiences, and before going to Dr. Harada, I just assumed that I would never find a dentist that I actually liked.
Dr. Harada has changed my perspective on dentists. He’s very kind and explains everything he’s doing before he does it. He doesn’t chastise me constantly for this or that (seriously, dentists, why do you do this?). He doesn’t try to fill cavities that are tiny/​non-​existent. He’s up front with the work that you need done and when he thinks you should get it done. His appointments start on time, and he doesn’t overbook himself. His staff is very friendly. He is reasonably priced.
This is the first dentist that I have actually gone to willingly and regularly. I schedule my cleanings and keep the appointments. I know that doesn’t sound like a huge deal, but to someone like me who has been afraid of the dentist her whole life, it’s a BIG DEAL! I don’t know that having a cavity filled can ever be an enjoyable experience, but it doesn’t have to be one that requires a xanax.

Dr. Harada was my dentist for approximately 8 years. I have to agree with all of the other 5-​star reviews. He and his staff are very thorough, yet gentle. I never felt like anything was rushed, even though I was frequently the last appointment of the day. Easily worth the trip from Evanston.

Dr. Harada has a magic touch that leaves his patients in complete comfort. I have never understood stories about people being terrified of visits to other dentists because I am so accustomed to the completely painless and helpful experience I have had at this office.
At Dr. Harada’s office you can expect a warm and welcoming staff, experts who give you a thorough and gentle examination, and appointments that are run ON TIME! Five stars!

Overall, a friendly and honest staff, and great general dentistry for everyone in my family. No bells and whistles (why do dental offices need flat screen TVs anyway???), just the basics which is everything that you need. I’ve had cleanings, fillings, night guards, and pretty much everything else which have all been as pleasant as they can be in a dental office– haven’t had any problems.
If you are an athlete, he also specializes in the latest technology in sports mouth guards.

dr harada and his staff are very friendly and professional. the office is impeccably clean and appointments actually start ON TIME! i don’t think i’ve ever had a dentist or other health care professional be on time. dr harada is very thorough and does not rush. his attention to detail is amazing. highly recommended.

Dr. Harada made my custom sports mouth guard. The fit is amazing and it’s the best mouth guard I have ever owned. Dr. Harada and his staff were very friendly and accommodating to my busy schedule. He was very patient and took the time to explain the making and fitting process in great detail. Highly Recommended!
