needed a revision surgery 3 months after a botched discectomy. Don’t let them tell you an outpatient facility is just as good. It’s not and it only makes them more money, not good for patients at all

After a fusion surgery performed by Dr. Gary Shapiro, I feel better than I have in years! He is an extremely knowledgeable, calming, kind, and appropriately funny surgeon. I felt safe and relaxed talking with him. He listened carefully to my complaints and concerns and pinpointed my issue on the first visit. Dr. Shapiro was also able to accurately explain other symptoms I was probably experiencing, besides my basic pain, relating to this spinal issue. He clearly and carefully explained my issue to me, gave me options for relief with expectations of each, and made certain that I was scheduled quickly for surgery and other office visits. His assistants Tracy and CJ were also fantastic. If available at the office, both answered the phones immediately. If they were helping other patients and I had to leave a message, they both returned my calls within 10 — 45 minutes! Even when they were at another office location and I left a message at the location I visit, they both returned my calls within 2 hours! Loved that service.
While in the hospital after my surgery, Dr. Shapiro checked up on me in my hospital room two days and called me on the day he couldn’t make it in.
Months after my surgery, although still recovering, I feel better than I have in years! The other symptoms that Dr. Shapiro mentioned, in which I had no idea were associated with my issue, are now either gone or barely noticeable.
I highly recommend Dr, Shapiro and his team! I can’t thank them enough for all of their kindness and guidance.
