My husband and I saw Dr. Beltsos for our IUI and IVF treatments. We met with Dr. Beltsos for our first initial meeting and then a couple more times for our IVF procedures. She’s all business but she knows what she’s doing and my husband and I trusted her expertise.
We worked the most with her nurse Carla who was an absolute gem. She rooted for us from day one and made sure to make all personal calls to me to alleviate stress and confusion during this period of our lives.
I also worked closely with nurse Nicole who drew my blood at least 3 times a week. She often shared her personal stories with me to calm my nerves when drawing blood. Our sonographer Anne was also very kind. She answered all of my husband’s 100 questions and did her best to explain things to me in language I would understand.
The front desk women were very accommodating in making sure I got all my appointments in on time. I am a teacher so my availability was very limited. She made sure to squeeze me in in the morning on my way to school and did their best to get me out of there as quick as possible. When we found out we were pregnant with twins, we were very excited to share our news with the staff.
I had no qualms with FCI and am so thankful for all that they have done for my family of now 4 (twins!).

An ok practice if u pick the right dr, but do your research before choosing. Avoid Dr Beltsos — the worst dr in any area of medicine we have dealt with in our lives. She said initially it was highly unlikely we can get pregnant on our own even though we had a couple prior natural miscarriages. She was never there on a personal level in this most important time of need for her patients — always pushing the tough conversations off on nurses. But most importantly — she gave over 3x the recommended medication doses twice, one time resulting in 8 follicles and the next time with 18! And without any personal consultation during this time. All she did was try to push us toward her big payday with IVF. After this we decided to switch to another dr within the practice — he had a totally different assessment on our situation — and two months later we were pregnant without IVF. The result is a beautiful boy and girl — 0 thanks to Dr Beltsos… Awful dr and poor interpersonal skills in a vulnerable time in our lives. Also — some of the nurses cop real attitude as they are younger and not receptive and don’t understand yet the emotion behind trying to have children. All in all we had a success story in the end, but all doctors are not the same here — and avoid Beltsos if u want an honest opinion and a happy ending instead of someone who doesn’t look out for the best interests of their patients.

I honestly was surprised when I saw the negative reviews here. I work with Dr. Rapisarda and staff, and I have been so happy. For the most part, everyone is really great to work with — from Dr. Rapisarda who actually listens and doesn’t rush through appointments, to Laura the RN who is very knowledgeable and caring, and the phlebotomists who are always pleasant and quick! I love the fact that I continue to work with the same nurse. Everything is thoroughly explained and I feel really good about the care I am getting. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is going through troubles with infertility.

I am rating my experience as 5 stars-​not because they helped me achieve a pregnancy, rather I found my experience with FCI to be a supportive and competent one. I started my journey three years ago. I met with a doctor at Invia and found them very impersonal. I was being pushed right in to a Clomid cycle and I was not ready to start medicated cycles without further testing (thyroid/​vitamin levels, etc.) I then moved to FCI. I started with one doctor and did my first injectable cycle, which resulted in a chemical pregnancy. I took a step back and began working with a reproductive immunologist for further testing and found a variety of issues that needed to be controlled before I did another medicated (injectables with IUI) cycle. When I was ready I switched doctors within FCI and became a patient of Dr. Beltsos. She is comforting and caring, yet professional. She was the only RE that explained with diagrams various things about the conception process. When my husband had concerns, she called him personally and addressed them. She also supported my choice to seek treatment from a reproductive immunologist while also under her care. This was very important to me, since people in my support group struggle to get their REs to be open to RI work. Her nurse is also very kind and compassionate. Anytime I had a question for the doctor, my call was returned within that day. When I did the standard three IUIs without a positive result, we moved on to IVF. My husband and I were very nervous– everyone we encountered were genuinely comforting and sympathetic to the process. We consulted with an IVF nurse at the Highland Park office who was so thorough and organized. Our IVF experience was full of good energy from retrieval to transfer. We encountered the embryologist also (due to my husband having questions again). The embryologist called my husband personally and then when we arrive for retrieval stopped in to make sure we had no further questions.
Yes, I did achieve pregnancy through IVF on my first try, however, even if I did not I would still have peace of mind knowing I had the best possible care. I did not monitor very much in Glenview, instead I went to FCI Crystal Lake which was closer to my work. They treated me like I was a patient at their office. I can’t say enough wonderful things about their u/​s tech, receptionist, and nurses!!! When you move on to REs it does take some rearranging of the work schedule to figure out when/​where you will monitor, but with all of FCIs locations– it is possible. When it comes to other comments about front desk staff– keep in mind the directions they are pulled in a day by all of us emotional infertiles! Yes it is their job, but everyone experiences stressful moments in their job too and may react in an unpleasant way without intent.

Dr Rapisadra and Katelyn are the best… they made my experience wonderful!
First of all… their number priority was to get me pregnant… every time I had a negative result, they took it to heart… they felt my pain!
The day I got pregnant… Katelyn tried every method of communication to let me know the exciting news!
The staff was so sweet at Glenview!
I don’t think I could have been successful if I went elsewhere… other benefits included:
–I was able to go to any center to do my routine tests so I was able to get to work quickly
— if my insurance didn’t pay for a service… FCI tried their best to work with my finances and made it work in a timely manner
–they had an emotional support workshop with 3 free sessions with a emotional support doctor if needed (luckily I didn’t because the doctor, nurse and office support was more than enough)…
— my IVF cycle was so smooth, I did not get any of the side effects I was told I may get :)
Thank you Dr R, Katelyn and FCI… you made our lives… we are so thankful :)

I can’t say enough positive things about FCI Glenview. The staff are angels — patient, kind, compassionate, flexible, and great at communicating a lot of complex and difficult information clearly and concisely. The nurses are warm, bright, and extremely competent. The office staff are helpful and kind, the doctors are extraordinary and creative in finding the right combination of treatments to get to a positive result. I felt I was in good hands no matter what result or test or treatment I had. In the end, I brought home a gorgeous, healthy baby boy. And I brought lunch for the staff at FCI Glenview when I first found out I was pregnant to celebrate with them!

I don’t really have anything positive to say about this place, except that one of the treatments helped me become pregnant. Other than that, I probably wouldn’t recommend this practice. Dr. Beltsos is nice, but there are a few people at this location who aren’t very pleasant at all. There was 1 nurse who I really liked, but she left. The front desk receptionists were not too pleasant when checking in. One in particular stood out, and her name was Shavone. She was incredibly rude and very unpleasant. I didn’t have infertility coverage, which means I was a self pay patient. All she cared about was getting my money. I explained to her that I could only afford certain payments each visit, but hat wasn’t ok with her. When I told her, I needed to set up payments, she would always roll her eyes and give me an attitude. I felt very apprehensive every time I had to go into the office. I didn’t know how I was going to be treated. My whole journey to becoming pregnant has been extremely difficult. I didn’t need the added stress. After a few weeks of treatments, nothing was happening. So I called Dr. Beltsos and arranged a sit down meeting with her to understand what was really going on with my situation. I truly didn’t feel at ease when I left. I felt like I was given unnecessary treatments. Till this day, I still don’t know my true diagnosis, and why I had such a hard time conceiving. But after a few months, I FINALLY became pregnant after a back to back IUI procedure. I’m still upset I had a bad time here from the very beginning. You would think women struggling to conceive would get a little more empathy, and understanding. But that wasn’t the case for me. I’m sad I didn’t have a better experience, but I’m so very thankful for my little miracle.
