Stay away! My daughters have been taking class at DMA for a number of years, despite the small, cramped studio and the owner’s questionable business practices. Last night was the last straw for us. My daughter returned the recital costume and the academy owner insisted that she had lost the accompanying shorts. My daughter never received any shorts. Indeed, in the note attached to the costume, the direction was to wear black shorts, not any shorts that came with the costume. After humiliating my 15 year old daughter in the presence of other students and parents, I was called in and endured the owner’s continued lashing out — all in an effort to simply retrieve the check ‘insurance’ she insists on. Long story short, goodbye Gloria and DMA — we will stick with Giordano, a TRUE dance studio with amazing teachers and management. The only reason we put up with DMA for as long as we did was because my daughter liked some of the teachers.
