So… I have a lot of dental work in my mouth. Blame it on childhood binges of Halloween candy… one brother did the same… and dodged cavities by drinking tons of water… anywho…
I had an old implant crown that chipped. Porcelain is apparently very strong and used for commercial tiles… replacement of one on an implant is the price of a 65″ Smart HDTV… so I was going to ante up ugh… at least I get reward points… but then my Mom referred me to Confidental… yeah she goes there for the implants in her mouth.
You can get regular crowns over old implant abutments. Just like you would to a tooth… without having to put down a metal base like a regular crown. It’s painless, stronger than regular attachment to a tooth, and HALF the cost of a customized implant crown. GENIUS!
Why didn’t my other implant dentist suggest this!!!
Within 2 weeks I had the job done. Removal and temp crown for first week… then got the permanent crown placed a week later in 30 minutes. Yay!!! Dr. Steve Kim. :-)
Also… shout out to the desk staff. Very professional and nice. Everyone seems cheerful and happy. It’s a good atmosphere despite the long hours they seem to keep…
I think they have one day where they are open til 8 or 9pm.
