I got a brazillian here a while ago with a groupon… worst experience ever. The girl told me to strip off my pants while she was still in the room and did not really offer any discretion… she did not even offer any paper panties. The wax itself was very painful and caused me alot of brusing. She definitely missed alot of the hair and i was sticky with wax. Needless to say, I only went once with my groupon (it was 2 waxes for 50 $).
Also– the girl that did the actual waxes was very rude and short with me because I rushed in 10 minutes late (which I understand, but seeing as I’m the customer she could have been a little more courteous – there was so much traffic!)… it did not seem that she was busy though. because she was drying her nails she just painted. She tried to make some awkward small talk about her own bikini waxes during the entire wax. she really did not need to share all that. Really.
Definitely do not recommend.

Mark is amazing. I’m so excited I found a new hairstylist who understands my hair, listens to me and makes me look so incredibly good. I found him after seeing someone who’s hair was like mine and asked her where she went. I’ll never go any place else.

I went here to get a brazilian from a groupon deal that I got 2 for 30. Good god I wish I had read the reviews first!!! It wasthe most painful I have ever experienced. Besides the lack of professionalism. I walked into the wax room and she said take off your shoes and pants. She was in the room with me. I was like right now. She blatantly said «I’m not leaving» I get it, you’re going to be looking at my hoo ha nice and close but I have never been somewhere that i disrobed in front of the waxer. They always leave and at least give you a paper towel to feel like you are slightly covered. Makes you feel a little less than just a chore.
Once on the table, she starts talking about ingrown hair immediately, I said I’ve gotten like 1 – 2 in the recent past and she gives me the stuff to look at while I was doing it and raved how good it was and how it fly’s off the shelves! I said I think I will pass this time maybe next time. Still keeps trying to sell me on it. That was it. Mind you she never even told me her name. I have no idea who was checking out my vag!
Oh and when I had called and asked for my appt to be a little later like 15 minutes, I was told it was impossible however when I showed up I had to wait a bit, because «she thought she had time to do her nails.» I would not recommend this place to anyone. You’re better off taking a pair of tweezers and plucking yourself one by one, which I actually had to do because so many were missed!

I bought a groupon for a bikini wax. I guess the saying, you get what you pay for, holds true for this experience. Not only was this the most painful bikini wax I’ve ever had — it brought tears to my eyes it hurt so much — the outgrowth is the worst. I have several ingrown hairs and lots of bumps. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy. I guess they do a lot of groupons b/​c it’s hard for them to get customers on a consistent basis — and if my experience is the norm, I can see why people would not want to go there. And I’m sure that I will get an email from the owner asking me to delete my posting but I want to warn others so they don’t experience what I did so the owner shouldn’t bother contacting me b/​c the posting will remain.
I didn’t read any other reviews about this biz before I wrote mine, but it seems like waxing is a real PROBLEM here. Maybe the owners need to look at their technicians. Everyone seems to like Matthew — I’ll have to go to him for a cut — and NO ONE likes the waxes. Either get new technicians or don’t do waxes because bad reviews hurt your reputation.

The good news: I found a stylist that I love.
The bad news: His salon is not in the city.
After meeting a friend for lunch in Glenview, I decided to find a deal on a haircut in the area. A Go Go Salon had a Unilocal deal for a $ 35 for a cut & style. Luckily they had availability on a Saturday!
Matt was my stylist. I liked how he asked a lot of questions to verify what I wanted. It’s always comforting to know you are on the same page as the person cutting your hair. While working on my hair he answered my questions about Moroccan Oil (I should be using the curl cream and not the oil) and was really thorough with my cut. To top it off, I thought since I was getting «a deal» that he would rush through the styling part – not so. He flat ironed my hair to perfection. I love this cut – it looks good when worn straight or curly.
I’m definitely going back to this salon although it will have to be on a weekend again. That’s okay, I can hit some other stores in the area to make it more convenient (Trader Joe’s, Target, REI, etc.).

DO NOT GO THERE TO GET WAXED! Worst wax ever don’t go there unless you want to torture yourself! She doesn’t know what she’s doing and she did a terrible job! Save yourself the pain!
