Established in 1937.

Penny’s Flowers was established in 1937 by Emily and Vincent Pannepacker Sr. It is located in the suburban Philadelphia, PA town of Glenside. Now, 75 years after opening their first shop, a second generation of the Pannepacker Family employs over forty-​five full and part-​time people. My family and I have been getting flowers from Penny’s for as long as I can remember. They have a beautiful selection of arrangements, and the staff always goes above and beyond to help. I love supporting local businesses, and Penny’s is a true neighborhood gem. I may live in NY now, but I still order my flowers from here!

Penny’s Flowers creates nice arrangements and the prices are fair. Great assortment of garden annuals, too. However, my most recent experience found the Sunday morning sales help to be «less than». She seemed so u happy to be working, impolite (how about a thank you for my $ 60+ worth of loose stems?), and couldn’t have cared less that the store was listed as closed on google. I make an effort to get here when there are floral shops closer to home, but that may now change.

I usually do not write reviews but I had the worst experience here this week. They could not follow 2 simple requests and when they called me on Friday to tell me they were unable to complete my order for Saturday, as promised, I was speechless and appalled at the way they spoke to me. They recently disappointed me when I sent a friend an arrangement so I should have known better. This was definitely the worst customer service i’ve ever experienced. Never again! They could not have been more rude and never took responsibility for not properly writing my order, etc. I will be sure to tell everyone I know about my horrible experience.

I live in California but have used Penny’s several times to send flowers to family that live in Glenside. I have always been impressed. Today I sent sympathy flowers and when I called the loss really sank in and I was a total mess, I didn’t have the address, couldn’t make a decision, and fought back tears the entire time. I also wanted them delivered asap. I was pretty much a nightmare customer. The customer service was amazing, they delivered a beautiful arrangement within 45 minutes. I was so beyond impressed by Penny’s that I felt obligated to write them a review. If you are looking for a wonderful florist with great customer service you have found one.

Paid 95 dollars for a bouquet for a friend’s grandmother that passed away, and it looked like it was worth $ 35 on a good day. We called and asked rectification as the people took a picture of the bouquet and we could see it was not worth $ 95. We spoke to Penny’s and they were going to take the bouquet back, and send another one. We were appalled that this was given as a rectification of the issue. We settled on a 25 dollar credit, but would never use this place again, as it is a rip off and when you have a problem; they offered ridiculous solutions. How could you return a bouquet that was sent and replace it with another one. Who does that?

Penny’s provided me with bouquets and boutonnieres for my wedding in June. I went in with a budget, and expected to come out with a very simple, basic arrangement with due to my price point. Instead they provided me with a spray of wildflowers, a variety of colors, beyond my wildest dreams! And for less money than I expected. The flowers were delivered on-​time, and they look so amazing in all of the photos! Highly recommend working with them. The staff was so friendly and helpful: very cheerful and professional.

The stuff in this store seems really overpriced to me, but they did have some really good sales that made their stuff reasonable. It’s always fun to go into a little local flower shop and check out the nick knacks. I would stop in again and probably buy something if it were on sale.

Penny’s Flowers did a fantastic job of putting together the perfect flower arrangements for our wedding. Their wedding department staff was extremely responsive to all of our requests and made helpful suggestions for designing the most wonderful centerpieces, bridal bouquet and boutonnière. The pricing was very reasonable and the delivery arrived early in the morning of our wedding day. I cannot thank Penny’s Flowers enough for helping to make our wedding day such bright and cheerful event. I highly recommend Penny’s Flowers for all of your special events!

PERFECT!!! I seriously cannot thank Maria and Penny’s Flowers enough for making my hopes a reality on my wedding day. I was nervous that I wouldn’t be able to describe what I wanted, but Maria was so professional and kind and creative — she helped us through several meetings and revisions, calming my nerves!
The flowers at the ceremony were absolutely perfect. The place card table was JUST what I wanted and each table at the reception was so thoughtfully put together. Not to
mention our bouquets — they were so incredibly stunning! Every single little detail was just perfect… you can tell that Maria really wanted everything to be beautiful just as much as we did — and that’s why it was. Best of all, it fit perfectly into our budget.
If you’re getting married in the greater Philadelphia area — definitely visit Penny’s and ask for Maria. She is wonderful and you will love your wedding flowers!
