Angela’s Pizza & Pasta

This pizza is some of the greasiest pizza I’ve ever eaten. the slices are huge, they literally flop over your hand. the only slices I would ever recommend getting are the ones that are cut fresh infront of you, and you see your pizza coming fresh out of the oven. I would not trust a pizza that is sitting out in a display case at angelas. I am a former employee and I have seen the worst of it. Do not drink a fountain soda from angelas always grab a bottled drink. I have seen them go months without taking off the soda nozzles and soaking them– which is supposed to be done every night. I have seen flies land on the slices that are in the display case which are later heated up and served to customers. and I’ve also watched the manager kick garlic knots under the counters instead of sweeping them up — would not trust anything from this restaraunt.

We needed catering for a toddler birthday party on a Sunday and, after realizing most places don’t even open until noon, went into a full-​on panic. After searching, we gave Angela’s a try. We first went in for a taste test and all passed muster (I am a NYC Italian, so I could not have bad pizza). We went ahead with the party order and were not disappointed. They delivered a pizza party pack on time and completely correct. Their regular cheese pizza is good. The garlic knots are very tasty. We also had a cheese pizza with peppers and onions and it was a bit much for our taste. I’ve been eating the leftover salad which was also good. Overall, we were very happy with both experiences!

We Ordered 3 different flavors of wings for pickup with a specific pick up time. We arrived to pick up the wings and they inform us they are out of one of the flavors we ordered. They failed to take our phone number so they never called ahead to get an alternate flavor. We also ordered garlic knots which were also not ready by the time we requested and had to wait for those as well. Just a big customer service fail.

It took the staff five minutes to even acknowledge I was standing at the counter in an empty restaurant. I would have left but I was on my way to work and didn’t have time to stop anywheres else. The chicken parm mean was 15 $ and it was not anything special, they were cheap on the mozzarella and the sauce was bland. I won’t go back. The meal comes with a salad and it had almost all brown lettuce in it. I threw it out. The chicken parm was edible but not going to waste money there again. The music from the kitchen was all you could hear thumping from behind the pizza ovens. I was very disappointed. I was looking for some flavor and hearty cooking but it didn’t happen here.

Romo’s, please forgive me. I tried calling you first, before remembering that you’re closed on Mondays. But the Husband and I really wanted pizza, so we had no choice but to go with Angela’s.
Angela’s was previously highly recommended by my (sauce-​making, card-​carrying Italian) coworker, so I didn’t hesitate to call here when our go-​to pizza joint Romo’s wasn’t open. Like Romo’s, which is just across the street, Angela’s offers a tasty, thin crust pizza. We opted for a white pizza, which is not our norm, so I can’t comment on the sauce. But the toppings were generous and perfecting distributed, which is very important to me. Hashtag: madewithlove.
The pizza took quite a bit longer than predicted, but the delivery guy was very apologetic upon arrival. We also knew there were significant traffic jams nearby due to construction, so this didn’t affect my opinion of the business.
Angela’s wings were only so-​so. They were enormous compared to Romo’s, but more saucy and super-​tender with no crispiness to speak of. Perhaps it’s just a matter of preference, but I like Romo’s wings better.
So, I’m still loyal to Romo’s, but I’m happy to order Angela’s next time I have a hankering for pizza on Monday night.

Always good food here. The salads are always fresh. The pizza is average. We used to order all the time but not so often anymore because the prices are just too high now. 11.95 for a portobello salad is just too expensive. It’s mushrooms, greens, a few slices of chicken, a few slices mozzarella. Their pizza is very expensive. So many other good pizza places in the area that are much cheaper. Their wings are just ok. Their pasta dinners are good portions and very good but again, very expensive for pasta.

Best pizza in Bethlehem. If you prefer an NYC/​downstate style pie, this is the only place to go. Great sandwiches and Italian standards also; highly recommended.

AMAZING! From the service to the food! Came here with my 88 year old Grampa who is hard of hearing and a little fragile the young counter girl/​waitress (I think her name was Kayla) was as sweet as could be. She spoke slow and soft and for down to his level, even took down a sign so he could read it! VERY clean which is a buggy for me with my lowered immune system! My Grampa has pasta with sausage. Fresh and cooked to perfection, yes it is possible for place to mess up pasta, their sauce is definitely home made! we got garlic knots, O-​M-​G fresh perfect brown and softness but crunch NOT DOUGHY haven’t made or had any like these in so long order 6 more to take home! Had the white pizza, so delicious devoured it! Again perfect crust thickness and brownness/​crispness I’m shocked by it here! real NYC pizza my family is Staten Island Italians. Grampa was surprised and thrilled! This is our new place AND, the prices are great, there was no wait.

Read a review on here from April that sounded a lot like my experience… must be a trend.
I was heading down to Catskill on Friday and decided on the way to my mother-in-law’s I would stop and get her favorite pizza because I’m a great daughter-​in-​law. I had never been to Angela’s before, but my MIL has raved about this place for years, so I was looking forward to it. Exactly at 5:00 I called to place my order to go, which was three items. Clam chowder, bruscetta and pizza. I was told that it would be ready in 20 minutes (which would be 5:20). I arrived at 5:25 and was given my soup. I was told that the rest of it would «be out soon». In the meantime, I paid for my order. 5:30 rolls around… nothing. Already 10 minutes longer than I was told it would take. At about 5:32, they give me the bruscetta. Great! Now where’s my pizza… Still nothing. At 5:35, I was kind of pissed off. And by «kind of», I mean «really». So I asked where my pizza was and it was «coming right out» and I asked to speak to someone. They finally hand me my pizza, but I’m sorry, this was 15 minutes longer than they said it would take, which is 85% longer than they said it would take. Unacceptable.
Anyway, I explained to (who I think was) the manager that this was my first time at Angela’s and it had taken them almost twice as long as they said it would to get me my food. The person that I spoke with was accommadating and offered me a gift certificate. I informed her that I don’t live in the area and she told me to hang on and she would see what she could do. She then spoke to someone else and whoever he was told her to give me some cash back, so I got about 50% back. Which was very generous of them, especially considering that I was mostly just looking for someone to acknowledge that they had given me erroneous information when they said 20 minutes. Granted, it was a Friday evening and it was VERY busy, but it was horribly frustrating. I would have happily run another errand or something in the extra time that it took them to get me my stuff.
On to the food: The clam chowder was surprisingly good. Very chunky and the soup part was thick. It had a nice taste and I was quite pleased with it. Not the best, but still pretty good. I did try the pizza, and I thought it was okay. The crust was very thin, which isn’t really my thing, but it had good flavor and I can see why people rave about it. The bruscetta, dear goodness. I had no idea a small bruscetta would actually be a SMALL PIZZA. It was delicious and smothered in toppings. SMOTHERED. (not in a bad way… in a really really good way). And it was HEAVY. I’m glad my MIL wanted that.
Anyway, while I enjoyed the food, I don’t think I’ll be stopping back here. It’s out of my way, and quite frankly, places that knowingly give you an inaccurate timeframe really annoy me.

I’ve had Angela’s to go. And it was so-​so. Couldn’t really complain on the food taste. However, I went for dinner in house the other night and it was the farthest thing from pleasing. I had ordered the food and drink at the counter. Salad came 15 – 20 minutes after sitting. Still no drink. The drinks came 10 minutes after the salad. And the food was mildly mediocre. There were all of 4 – 6 seated tables in the restaurant with two servers. I understand it is more of a walk-​in and take out pizza parlor, but don’t offer table service if you can’t keep up. Having just moved to Delmar, I can surely say I will not be eating at Angela’s again.

Horrendous service today! Have a customer event and needed 6 sandwiches. We called the order in and were told 25 minutes. We arrived 30 minutes later and were told it would be a few more minutes. Then about 20 minutes later a guy comes out of the back and tells us they can’t make any hot food??? Apparently the health inspector was there and it was not going well, methinks. Why weren’t we informed of that earlier when we got there instead of letting us wait??? The girl at the counter clearly had no idea what was going on and was not able to update us. I would have sat there was indefinitely had I not asked what was going on!!!

I’m new to the Albany County, I live in Ravena. We have a local Pizzeria that is great for a quick pizza but I go to the gym almost every day in Glenmont and thought I’d check out the Pizza at Angela’s. Being from Brooklyn, I have high expectations when it comes to Pizza but have come to accept the best I can find in my area. My family loves having pizza and wings and Angela’s has a great family deal all week longs. I decided to get for my kids and get myself a salad and we were not disappointed. The wings are my kids new favorite, Pizza was good, could have been a crispier crust, and the Tuscan Salad was absolutely delicious and can serve as 2 meals or feed up to 4 ppl small portions. I went back last night because of the salad, and I got the Cajun chicken and shrimp salad and a meatball hero for my son, we were not disappointed. Angela’s is our new Pizzeria.

Monday night special is a large cheese pizza for $ 8.95. Add to that a tossed salad and you have a great value. The Sunday night special of spaghetti and meatballs, with a salad and bread, cannot be beat. Not fancy, but good food. We live about a mile away, and come here often.

Great lunch specials. Swift, friendly service. The pies are very good and so are the wings. I am surprised by the negative reviews here. The pies here are way better then the local competitor’s.

I LOVE this place! I’m not much of a pizza eater but my family thoroughly enjoys theirs, while I chow down on their wings. The boneless wings are HUGE. Well priced and quite honestly the best around! The pizza special comes with one huge pizza and a giant chef salad which is awesome, and a pitcher of soda all for under $ 20! We’re a family of five with a sixth on the way so for around $ 35 we all eat, get full and have left overs! Could probably for less but as I said before I don’t eat pizza. Definitely well with it. Family friendly and great staff!

We live a a mile away and visit them often. The pizza is fine. We like it well done and they always oblige. The daily specials are really good deals, particularly the Sunday spaghetti special. The pizza, soda and antipasto special ia also a good deal. The place is not fancy, the restrooms could use a sprucing up, but you get your money’s worth. The staff is very friendly.

Not great; significantly worse than their closest competition, Romo’s (and slightly more expensive also). Crust was ok, a little doughy; sauce bland and toppings lacking even salt, generally pretty meh. Only virtue is being open on Mondays.

This is a hole in the wall looking place, kinda stuck in there with some other stores. But looks can be deceiving. Their pizza is awesome. They don’t deliver as far away as i am from them, but I would order a lot just to get their pizza. SOOOOO good. When we really wanted decent pizza, we’d order angela’s, and drive and pick it up (although we had two pizza places within a block walking distance).
they have a really good pasta deal on sundays, about five bucks for spaghetti with meatballs, salad and bread. Good deal.
One of the things I miss about Albany (besides seasons i.e. winter, spring summer and fall), is angela’s pizza. And at such time as i’m in the neighborhood again, i’ll get pizza.

PIZZZAAAAAA!
So far this is my favorite of the local pizza shops. My equation for good pizza is fresh high quality ingredients with a decent crust (not soggy.) When you order toppings here you’re going to get a lot of toppings. They definitely don’t skimp.
The spinach salad was also great. Fresh spinach, dried berries, nuts and balsamic. So good I forgot I had pizza as well.
As for the entrees I have no clue. I haven’t tried anything else but judging by the quality of their other offerings I would say it’s probably a good bet.

Angela’s Pizza & Pasta is located in the old school looking Town Squire Shopping Center (Price Chopper/Chili’s). The pizza here is decent. They also offer special deals each day of the week including Lasagna ($ 6.99-Tues), Baked Ziti Dinner ($ 6.99-Sat) and Spaghetti & Meatballs ($ 4.99-Sun) served with salad and bread. Pepsi products from the cooler as well as beer and wine are available. It’s order at the counter and the food is served on regular plates (a bit worn) and plastic glasses and you bus your own dishes. There’s ample booth seating in 2 dining areas.
I stopped here for lunch after I was finished shopping nearby. They had a handful of pizzas on display, pizza by the slice, $ 2 for cheese, and $ 2.50 for special pizzas. I got a good sized slice of Buffalo Chicken pizza which was reheated in the oven. The thin pizza crust had a firm doughy texture topped with spicy chicken, red onions, dressing, cheese, and a ranch dressing. The spicy chicken was a bit cold, but overall decent tasting, one slice was filling enough.
