Good food but be prepared to wait. This flame broiler gives a good portions and is cooked better than a few other flame broilers I’ve been to. They fall short in their wait times. I’m here now and have been waiting 10 minutes for just a regular chicken bowl with 3 people still ahead of me. Oh yay, they brought me my food!

If I could give this place no stars I would!!! Ever since they went under new management it has gone downhill! The workers are rude and unprofessional and the portions are ridiculous compared to where they were. We got half filled bowls and when we brought them back we were told that’s the new ‘proper portion’… If I’m going to spend my money on something it better be the right amount. NEVERGOINGBACK! Oh and Jennifer, the cashier, was too busy gossiping to the cooks to help us properly

I can honestly rate this as the worst FlameBroiler I’ve been to. I went in today. For one, that place needs some kind of tint on the Windows, the sun just beats on you while you are waiting to order. That is annoying in itself. I order six bowls, pretty easy. One steak with white rice and extra onions and five chicken bowls with brown rice and extra onions. The girl who said she was the manager read it back to me. I wait in this comfortably hot waiting area with person getting in each other’s way. I get my order and go home. I put out the containers and none had extra onions, if anything it’s like they had less than normal. Okay, fine I can deal with that. I pour some sauces from the incredibly small sauce containers they give you and shake up my bowl, I realize that there is white rice in the bowl. I call and speak to the manager who kept cutting me off, then puts me on hold and continues taking orders. When she comes back she tells me she took the order and it was an honest mistake. I told her this honest mistake happens a lot. She asks me «how many times have you come to this location» I told her I go there at minimum once a week. I told her I’ve complained before and she said«I have no record of it» and basically insinuating that I’m lying. I call her out on that. She offers to give me two orders of brown rice. I don’t have time to go back as I am already late for work. I personally like Wabba Grill more, but my wife liked(yes, not anymore) FlameBroiler. I finally convinced my wife for us to only go to Wabba after this. Reasons why I’d rather go to Wabba: –You can add your own green onions, it’s available for you to serve yourself. –The sauce containers are bigger and they sell the sauce in big bottles… PERFECT! Even though the flavor is not the same my order is ALWAYSCORRECT. Before my wife started eating Flame Broiler I was at Wabba 3 – 6 times a week ordering a days worth of meals. Glad I can finally go back to that. They can keep their sides of rice.

Been several times because it was close. The staff unfriendly and seems like you’re intruding on their good time. Food is ok when they get the order right. Cold and sparse with the veggies. Better off driving to the one on lonehill and arrow

I love flame broiler, but my biggest issue with this location concerns potions sizes when ordering a side of ribs. For 4 dollars, you literally get 4 pieces of bone in rib that are a tad bit bigger than the size of a quarter… I live near this place and have ordered this at least 5 times over… And the lack of is consistent… This cannot be the company standard. Other locations have been much more generous. *see attached picture

The owner does not accept coupons, definitely losing my business. How do you market and promote, yet you don’t accept your own coupons. Not a good business practice…

We were regulars here, but since the ownership changed, so has the quality of food. The meat is tough and dry and they keep scraping the grill so much that you get it in your bowl. The last time we were there we asked for the rib plate and they gave us one small rib with some meat on the side… what? When I complained, the cook said they were out of ribs. So? You think he would have said something? No. We would have driven home to find one bite of meat and had to have gone back! Glad I was watching. My advice? Go to the other Flame Broiler franchises in the area. San Dimas and Eastland Center… MUCH better quality of meat. Friendly staff, too. By the way, it is a turn off to see someone cleaning the grill and cooking your meat at same time. Nope. Not going back. Guess this one will be going out of business soon… just like the numerous chicken restaurants on the corner!

Came here for the first time yesterday. Pretty good. I had the chicken veggie bowl. The chicken and veggies were good and tasted fresh, but there was almost no rice in the bowl. I kept thinking it would be perfect with just a little more rice.

Don’t like coming here the beef is a really chewy dry texture and the chicken is just whatever. Try golden bowl in Covina they are the masters at chicken bowls!

I usually like this location for Flame Broiler but I was very grossed out with my lunch here today. The quality of the beef this time was grainy and chewy. Idk what was worse… The disappointing beef quality and excess rice OR the greasy orange that seemed unwashed with the sticker still on it. See picture I uploaded

Worst experience, never coming back. I asked for vegetables in the bowl and get home, no vegetables. I returned to get a refund and I’ve been waiting for 20 minutes while they call the manager to approve it, this is ridiculous.

Pretty good food here. I usually go for«The Works» bowl, which is rice, vegetables, chicken and beef. The Magic and Hot sauces really add some flavor to it too. The prices are a little on the high side, but not too bad. The bowl surprisingly fills me up pretty well too. I prefer eating here instead of a greasy burger joint. Call your order in ahead of time to avoid waiting in line.

I’m literally eating here as I leave this review. I ordered chicken vegetable bowl with no rice. I hope they read this because it will help bring back customers. I travel Southern California every day for work and visit Flame Broiler often because it is kind of healthy fast food. I was excited at first because they really heaped on the chicken in the bowl. My excitement died when I started eating. I have never spit more chicken in to my napkin than I did today. About 40−50% of the clumps of chicken had fat and chewy parts mixed in. Please trim your chicken better. Less Quality is better than Poor Quantity. I’m so grossed out I’m only eating the vegetables now.

First time trying this chain. It was really fast and fresh and delicious! Ordered the chicken vegetable bowl with no rice. Was very full and pleased with how much chicken they give you.

It’s your average chicken/beef rice place. Cheap prices and friendly service. I like going here for the lunch chicken bowl.

I wish I could give a better rating, but it’s obvious that this particular location isn’t interested in that(just read the other reviews whose sentiments I’m about to echo). I usually go to the Diamond Bar location because it’s close to where I work, quick, and service is top notch. This location, while close to home, leaves a lot to be desired in the way of service. I walked in the door to see one guy working the grill and no one behind the counter/register. The person who was supposed to be working the register was on the store phone with a friend, I gather, off to the side against the wall at a table where he was apparently eating. He glanced up in my general direction and continued his conversation for another minute or so. Finally, when the other customer’s meal was ready, the employee-of-the-month got up, dragged his feet to the window, grabbed the order and handed it to the gentleman. He didn’t say a word because he was still on the phone and he apparently didn’t want to confuse his compadre. Another couple of seconds passed by as the employee slowly came to, realizing he was at work and not at home in his underwear. He took my order, allowing me to list everything I wanted instead of asking me(regular bowl, the works, white meat, and onions, for example). As if a mute, he took my card and handed it back with my cup, returning to his table for another phone conversation. I sauced up, grabbed my drink, and took a spot in the lobby where he’d find me easily, he didn’t seem to be in the mood to be stressed or strained and I certainly didn’t want to delay this process any further at this point. Finally, head to shoulder cradling the phone, he hands me my meal in silence and I walk out in silence. As a former Starbucks and Disneyland employee, I can confidently say that this was some of the worst service I’ve seen anywhere. Most places will pretend to give a crap about their customers, but apparently the manager isn’t worried about that here. If he or she was, they’d read the Unilocal reviews and light a fire under the collective butts of their employees. Pathetic, I won’t be returning. The food, however, was good. I love the food. Waba is closer to home and I assume the service is better. They’ll be getting my patronage from now on.

Yeah, went in yesterday and got a mini bowl, hubs got the medium. Total 14.00. The mini bowl is smaller than it used to be. Very measly portion for almost 7.00. Several of my white meat portions had gristle/skin hanging on them– gross. This chain seems to have an unusual amount of variance depending on the owners. I think I am going to try the San Dimas location next.

Been here a couple times and so far it’s been good. I usually order The Works with brown rice. Staff here are friendly and quick with the service. And if you sit outside they bring your food out to you which is cool. Most importantly, the brown rice isn’t dry here like other FB locations I’ve been to. Will definitely be back since it’s local to my work and it’s healthy, the end.

Price for what you get; is a bit unbalanced. $ 25 for 3 people for a bowl of rice with chicken on it is to much. Call it healthy and fresh all you like; but it’s just rice and sauce’s with meat sprinkled on it. Place was new and clean and we were met outside by coincidence by what I assume is the franchise owner or manager who proceeded to attempt to convince us to eat there with claims of health and freshness for $ 5…which I suppose if we little kids would have covered the portion/price amount. All in all, Unimpressed; doubt I’ll ever re-visit A note to the Chains– We are all aware the price of rice is pennies so you should adjust accordingly to keep customers.

This place recently opened in Glendora in the same shopping center as the unopened Fresh & Easy. The food is touted as being a healthy alternative and is actually pretty delicious. If you like Rolling Rice or L&L Hawaiian BBQ then you will probably enjoy this place as well. For my first dining experience I ordered the chicken and beef plate(with my choice of white or dark meat) and a regular sized drink. I’m happy to say they didn’t skimp on the meat and the overall flavor of the meal was good. The plate comes with a side of salad and when they bring it to your table, you’re asked if you want dressing or not. I opted for the dressing, and while it had a very nice flavor, I couldn’t get over the consistency — it was syrupy. If that kind of thing doesn’t bother you, then by all means… Like anyone else, customer service is important to me. The staff was very friendly, and halfway through our meal the manager stopped by our table to make sure everything was tasting good and we were happy with it. All in all, a good experience. I will be returning!
