Red Dragon is amazing. The program has taught my girls so much discipline. Through the program they’ve learned to work hard to get what they want. Also, they carry over the skills they’ve learned to there daily lives, by working hard at school. We’ve been with Red Dragon for 5 ½ years and my girls have their black belts and want to continue to get higher degrees, they enjoy it so much.

Our son have joined this organization as a student for over a year now. Very well organized studio, we love all the Senseis. They are very much respected by their students. Kids look up to them very much, and are WILLING to follow their direction. Their teachings work, their students practice their motto not only in the studio with their mentors, but also at home and school!

We have been with Red Dragon for over 2 years with my 5 in 6 year old kids. They love all the Sensais. Sensei Shelly specially made us feel very welcome to the Red Dragon family. She provides Excellent customer service and exceeds expectations. Red Dragon Karate builds great confidence and has also given our kids the tools to deal with bullies at school. A special Thank You to Sheehan and Mr. Fisher for sharing their experiences and being great role models for the kids at Red Dragon. We did not hesitate in enrolling our nephew as soon as he moved to town as we know how big of an impact Red Dragon has in building their character. We recommend Red Dragon 100%. I wish I can give them zero starts! Stay away from this fraud place! They just want your money they don’t care about ur kids learning! I would never recommend this place to anybody… They are not loyal and have really bad customer service… Shelly is by far the worse!!!

RDK Glendora has been exactly what my son needs. He thrives with positive feedback, which he wasn’t receiving at his last dojo. RDK Glendora is so positive and motivating that my son wants to succeed and looks forward to going to his karate classes. I am very thankful that we found RDK Glendora!

I took my son in here to get some information about their karate program. He had taken karate once before but it was through a city program and wasn’t that great. He was interested in trying again so I brought him in here to see what they offered. I was told that he could have 3 private half hour lessons for free to decide if he really liked it, which I thought was fantastic. On the second lesson, the instructor told him he was going to test by breaking boards, but not two boards like normal, he was going to have him break three. After a couple of tries, my son broke through the boards (which are made to break through), they make him a trophy of the boards, put him in his brand spanking new uniform and give him a white belt, get him all excited… all before I’ve even signed up. Then after all that, hands me a price list with these insane prices right in front of my son… who is still all excited and hyped up, smiling and looking at himself in the mirror with his cool new karate uniform. Then proceeds to say, «and because I like him, I’ll knock the price down.» This was so cheesy and SO car salesman like. They basically use the kid to sell the service to the parents and make the parents look like the bad guy if they decide not to. The sales tactics were shameful. You don’t test the kids, give them a trophy, put them in a brand new uniform, and get them all hyped up before even discussing prices or if we’d like to sign up. I took that uniform back the next day and canceled the last free lesson. If you are considering this place at all, first call and get their pricing BEFORE you even do a free lesson, don’t let them throw it at you in front of your child all excited in his brand new unform feeling on top of the worls because he just broke three boards instead of two and was given a white belt. If you can deal with the insane prices, and decide to try it, make sure you tell them to not do this whole ridiculous show of putting your child in their brand new uniform, giving them a white belt, and getting their hopes up before you decide if you are actually going to commit to this. If you decide to sign up, that’s fine, do this whole show for the kids. I didn’t know if karate was going to be something my son would like which is why I thought the three lessons for free is a great tool to see if your child likes it, is ready for the commitment, and gets an idea of what to expect and sees if the instructor and your child mesh well together. What I didn’t expect was a sleazy car salesman like move and ending the night having to explain to my child that we absolutely were not doing this and that we have to give this uniform he was just unexpectedly given back to the studio. Even if I thought the price was acceptable, I still wouldn’t go here because of the way this was handled. It was downright pathetic.

We have been going to RDK for 7 years. One of my sons has his black belt and is a sensei .This allows him to help in the classes and be of service. My other son has his orange belt. They are learning discipline, respect, and a good attitude. And of course the blatantly obvious which is martial arts. The staff is caring but tuff and dont allow the kids to get away with stuff. Which I find refreshing. This is no fluff and puff dojo. It’s the real deal. They will hold you child Accountable which will in turn help him/​her transition into teenage and adult hood with a good sense of morals, values and respect for others as well as themselves.

At first we were very pleased, but it didn’t take long to realize how wrong we were. They start every lesson late, spend most of the class talking and not teaching. They continue to take kids all year long to the point that there are so many kids, they are bumping into each other. And everyone, even the brand new kids, passes the testing to move up belts as long as they pay. Then you have to buy all this equipment and there is the lovely 3 month cancellation policy!

My kids have been coming here for three years. They love it. The staff is caring and on top of it! I’ve never had any issues at all, in fact, Shelly and her team go above and beyond to make sure each student is achieving their best results. Curriculum is interesting, current, and taught with care and patience. You can tell everyone loves being there, myself included. My kids have grown in strength and confidence in the past three years. Never trust a reviewer who has no friends and no other reviews, as they are usually affiliated with the business. I do not give bad reviews lightly. It usually takes multiple issues for me to post a bad review on a business.
We had been Red Dragon affiliated for over three years. We had originally had our child enrolled in the Via Verde studio, no problems. A separate positive review was done for them.
But not all Red Dragons are created equal. The problems began to arise when we needed to transfer to the Glendora studio, absolutely terrible experience I don’t want any other parent to go through.
When we transferred my son had 3 – 4 classes a week at Via Verde for $ 150.00 monthly. We moved out of area, but still wanted to keep my son in karate because he loved it. We were informed that my child could take weekend classes at the Glendora studio and some private lessons since Via Verde did not offer weekend classes. The first weekend we arrive the studio was closed, no call from the studio to let us know. I called and inquired about the private lessons they promised and was informed by Shelly that she would call me back. She never did, however they continue to charge my account $ 150.00, while my son is only taking one class during the weekend as that was all they had to offer. After two weeks of calling and no call back I shut down the credit card that issued their payment. After this occurred I began to get calls and e-​mails, but only to ask for my payment. I informed them I would not need their services any longer, and pulled my son from the program
This summer as my son missed his karate friends I placed him into their Summer Camp Program, which is non-​licensed, and run by teenagers who obviously are not monitored. I called Shelly to check up on my son during the week and to get a copy of the sign-​out sheet to see who was picking up my son, as this was a concern. She did not call me back. I called three times with no answer. I have reason to suspect they were releasing my son to unauthorized adults and are covering up by not sending me the records.
Unfortunately, I had to make a complaint with California Social Services Child Department regarding this issue. I am hoping the state does a review of the unlicensed summer program and cleans up the issues they have with their staff.

We love Red Dragon Karate Glendora! My son started here almost 4 years ago and is now a Sensei. Sensei Henry loves going everyday to learn Karate from the start & still loves it! My son has learned a lot from the best Shihan Chris Casamassa and Sensei Henry can go to him or Sensei Shelly for anything, advise or help! Thank you so much Shihan & Sensei Shelly for everything you do! Thank you also to all the great instructors Sensei’s are all awesome and Sensei Henry looks forward to helping & working with everyone there! His next goal is to get his 2^nd Degree Black Belt!

I always thought of reviews to be made if you had a negative experience to report. So, I want to say something about this exceptional Karate studio. When you first walk in you are most likely to be greeted by Shelly or Eden. Those are the kind of faces and voices anyone would appreciate to be greeted with. Great job because you cannot do better than those two ladies. The Owner Shihan Chris and ALL the Sensei’s at the studio are in sync with their utmost professionalism, eagerness to help in any situation and consistency with cleanliness and being respectful. This business is filled with an overwhelming feeling of comfort and being welcome as though you are a participant, even though it’s your child taking the class. Just standing next to the owner emanates a powerful feeling of positive vibes. Thank-​you for all the good things, above and beyond, what your studio does throughout the entire year too. You are definitely in it for the growth of our children so they may recognize and continue that trend. You are a business I would highly recommend to parents looking to get their kiddo started off right.

Great instructors and friendly staff. My son and I both train here – there are a lot of parents who sign up their kids and then decide to join themselves. I love that they have classes throughout the day and then separately in the evening for adults only.

If you are looking for a great place for your family to learn some valuable life skills, get over to Red Dragon Karate, Glendora! My daughter has been at Red Dragon for over a year and a half. We are very happy with the whole program. She is learning about discipline, respect, physical fitness and having fun too! She has gained confidence and looks forward to going to her classes throughout the week. Red Dragon instructors are great at working with both kids and adults. The cost of classes is well worth what you will get out of it, and the managers are always helpful and understanding of individual situations. Our family has made great friends at RDK. We plan to be there for a long time! Thanks to Shihan Casamassa and Sensei Shelly for putting together such a great program. We are happy to be a Red Dragon Karate family!

Our son has been taking karate at Red Dragon Karate (RDK) Glendora for almost four years. It has been a wonderful experience. He is now a 1^st Class Brown Belt. The Senses are experienced and knowledgeable. Even the more advanced Brown Belts love to help the lower color belt students. Our son has made many good friends at RDK Glendora. He not only enjoys the karate part of it, but there is always something fun to do: Movie night, summer parties, Halloween parties, Day Camp on holidays, Summer Camp, and much more. RDK Glendora will be a part of our lives for many years to come

Dont sign up unless you want to pay for overpriced lessons from kids. The teachers are just teenagers getting minimum wage while the owner collects thousands a day for nothing. You have to buy eveything, uniform and equipment, from RDK. Forget about competitive shopping. You will pay full price for everything. $ 200 for a plastic sword that I found on ebay for $ 30. Yet when I showed them, they claimed it wasnt the same and that we could not take lessons unless we bought it from them for $ 200. I talked to a competitor and he said that the ebay sword was the same sword.
The lessons are mediocre and the talent is mediocre. They will get your debit card and make sure they get theirs each month. Oh yeah. Dont think about quitting either because if you do there is a 90 DAY CANCELLATION FEE. Yes you will have to pay 3 months lessons as a cancellation fee even if you are finished. Even if you want to take the summer off you still have to pay the fee. What a scam.
They will try to sell you eveything and anything, and after several years and 7 to 9 thousand dollars, you will wonder where that money went.

Red Dragon Karate in Glendora is awesome! Not only do my children and I learn self defense and valuable life skills, we have fun! The instructors are very knowledgeable, so full of energy and teach in a way that is fun! It“s also a great workout! Classes are grouped by age and belt rank, which we love because we can learn together. «The Family that KICKS together, STICKS together!!»
