Pine Bark Construction was established in 1970 – 71 and licensed in 1973 by James S. Guido. We are a family owned and operated business that has been providing quality, affordable and custom residential construction remodels and additions throughout the San Gabriel Valley area for over 40 years.

We are a member of the Western Regional Master Builders Association and are fully licensed (Lic. No. 361 856), bonded and insured as well as any and all sub-​contractors we employ. An extensive referral list is available upon request.

All signed jobs also receive the benefit of an experienced designer so architectural plans are not neccessary. This service also saves you the cost of hiring an architect. If you already have architectural plans, no worries, our experienced staff has the ability to work with any architectural firm.

Business Owner

James S. Guido has been involved in construction all his life. He grew up working for his father’s construction company then later became the foreman. In 1970 he married Sherry Beck (now, Guido) and he started his own business, Pine Bark Construction. By 1973 he was a licensed contractor based out of the La Puente area. In 1987 the company moved to Glendora, CA where they currently reside. Jim prides himself on always providing quality, affordable work. He is fully licensed and insured and he is recongnized by many cities and consumer watch groups as a reliable and professional businessman. He not only has the experience but a long list of referrals and an excellent record with the Contractors State Licensing Board. He is a family man who prides himself on his integrity.
