This eatery is in Glendora. I live in Whittier. Need I say more? I really enjoy the food, service & prices

Great food, wonderful service, large portions and reasonable prices.
We decided to try this place last week because our regular place was sold and the new owner made changes that we did not like. We are glad that we came here the service is great! Our coffee cup is never empty and the waitress were attentive. The food is large portions so we usually have leftovers for lunch. The quality is very good and it is tasty, equivalent to our old place.
We are happy that we have another place to go to.

Love this place. I can always count on great, affordable food and a friendly staff. There is a waitress there in particular, she has some great hair! I’m so sad I haven’t remembered her name yet… But she is the most kind person and in particular made my and my family’s evening a great one last night!

We love this place. it’s family oriented, the food is always good and prices are so reasonable!

I’m a fan, but NOT of the screaming children that seem to be here more and more. I’m thinking of finding a new place to go. I don’t like spending $ 30 on breakfast while I’m listening to some screaming brat that their parents won’t discipline the whole time. A remodel wouldn’t hurt either. I can no longer recommend Peppertree.

This place is great! Love the breakfast here and there Salman is also delicious, would definitely come back for more!

3^rd time here and it just keeps getting better. I had the popeye omelette and it was terrific with perfectly prepared light hashed browns!

Had the lumberjack breakfast, big portion really filled me up. 23 bucks for my plate and my wife’s chicken salad.

Ordered the eggs Benedict with hash brown– $ 8.99; and we ordered the waffle special — $ 7.49 with bacon and egg whites. Well the eggs-​bene were great; the waffle had too much spice in it: I think it was nutmeg, which was a little overpowering. The egg whites had little in flavor and were also little in quantity. The food was 3.5, but rounded up to 4, because the service was great!

so happy to find a place that really lives in the stigma of hardcore American café that has vegan options :) I didn’t know what to get to eat when I was with my family and I’m the only vegan, I found that the garden burger wrap is vegan! It has a veggie type of meat in it with no egg or dairy! And it was delicious too! Really recommend

The Peppertree is busy, busy, busy! (SO IT MUST BE GOOD!) They have a large variety of food on their menu, plus they have daily specials. I had their pastrami breakfast burrito and a ½ order of french toast. Everything was freshly made, big fruit slices included. Excellent service too.
We will be back.

The «kids» and I went out to dinner Friday night. Peppertree has a huge, enclosed patio for outdoor dining. When we arrived, we discovered the patio IS NOT pet friendly.
I would normally rate a restaurant that has a non-​pet friendly outdoor space at 3*. Since my tuna melt, onion rings & cheesecake TO GO was the bomb, I’ll keep it at 4* despite Chueco and Chula’s broken hearts. (See picture of sad dogs in front of ginormous enclosed patio)
PTC, you are in California on Rte 66. Pet friendly is practically the norm. If that isn’t enough, think of the $$$$ from pet parents like me you are missing out on. I love the food, but PTC is no longer on my list. I’ll miss your friendly staff & diner-​style deliciousness.

Finally an old fashion mom & pops diner. This is my first time an I only had to wait less than 5 minutes however, the waitress told me that the wait can get upwards to one hour and half.
I came here because Flappyjacks down the street had a 2 hour wait forget that. Anyway, I’m glad I came here.
The waitresses were really nice an attentive from the time we walked in until we left. Our waitress came by many times to see if we needed anything and to make sure our drinks were full.

I had the meat lovers omelette and my 2 sides were the biskets and gravy and one flap Jack. The omelette was huge. Filled with generous amounts of ham, bacon, sausage, and cheddar cheese. The texture and taste were excellent. So much gooey cheese oozing and melting as you pick a piece up to eat so good!
The biskets and gravy were delish. The muffins were excellent great texture soft and delicate and the gravy wasn’t to heavy. A nice balance of flavor pure perfection.
The Pancake was heavy not the best by far but it was edible. The reason I really think the pancakes are not a right fit is because, the food that I ordered is already heavy. So, with that being said if you don’t mind a heavy meal order the the pancakes. The pancakes also come plain but with some good whipped butter and syrup.
Now my niece ordered almost the same thing except, she got the banana nut muffin and let me tell you it was incredible. it’s a muffin that is crisp on the outside and fluffy in the middle. Another perfect blend of bananas and walnuts to give one an orgasmic explosion of flavor that melted in my mouth. It tasted as if they had just baked it because as I cut into nothing but hot steam came out. Nearly burnt my nose off as I glared into the depths of heaven!
I didn’t finish all my meal as it was just to huge and my already fat belly got 3 times as big… I lie to you not 2 people could easily share one order.
I’m so glad that Flappy Jacks Café was packed because, it gave me a chance to try this gem out. A country style restaurant with good wholesome huge portions of food.
Definitely one of the best breakfast places I been too. I recommend this place to any an everyone!

I’ve lived local to this restaurant for twenty years and I can remember eating maybe two really excellent meals here. And one of those meals may have just been pie. The other was a legitimately amazing steak that was perfectly cooked and was just a fantastic cut of meat. But the problem is I’ve probably eaten at Peppertree fifty times and I clearly remember only one good meal.
All of the employees here are really nice, the prices are great, and the portions are huge, but the food just isn’t very good. On top of that it’s basically impossible to get an allergy-​safe meal here; they use margarine instead of butter on things like toast or steamed veggies or on their «garlic butter steak» so if you’ve got corn allergies you’re screwed, their fries are battered so they’re not Celiac safe, and unfortunately it seems like none of the employees know these things when you ask — even the line cooks aren’t sure what they’re making sometimes.
Also, and this is a big deal to me, their coffee sucks. Like really bad. It just isn’t good and they’re one of those places that offers coffee-​mate flavored «creamers» over real half-​and-​half so if you don’t want sweet vanilla hazelnut coffee you have to wait for someone to bring over some real cream. And then their coffee STILL sucks.
If you’re in town and have only ten dollars for dinner and you’re incredibly hungry it’s hard to beat the Rustler Specials they offer every day of the week — it’s a steak, a side, a starch, a soup or salad, bread, and (I think) a drink starting at $ 8.99 for a cube steak and going up to $ 21 for tenderloin and shrimp. Peppertree usually has pretty decent quality meat so you aren’t likely to regret ordering a Rustler Special. But ordering from the main menu is a recipe for disappointment — omelets are bland, pasta is overcooked, sauces are dull (though my husband just shouted to me that the chicken enchilada soup is unbelievably amazing).
If you are someone who can eat pie and cake this might be a decent place to meet up for dessert — portions are large and from what I remember the pies and cakes were all tasty, fresh, and satisfying. They do not offer any Celiac/​non-​dairy/​allergy-​safe desserts but if that’s not a concern this might be a decent option for you if the line at Donut Man is too damn long.

The most underrated breakfast spot around! Great prices and the quality/​quantity of food is awesome! It’s a little mom and pop shop in Glendora. I found it on Unilocal and I’m so glad I came! I ordered the chicken fried steak skillet! Mmmmmmmmm! I couldn’t believe the portion size I got for $ 9! Came with potatoes, eggs, bell peppers, cheese, & chicken fried steak strips. Lord, have mercy! I loved it! Oh and it came with your choice of bread! I got biscuits and gravy. Their gravy is so flavorful! PLEASE TRY THIS PLACE OUT!

Food was above average diner food, so automatic plus for that… but the customer service was out of this world! Kerry (or Carey… not sure how she spells it) is the nicest waitress I’ve ever met. This is my first time here, I’m from Los Angeles. She really made me feel like home! Give this woman a raise!
If I ever come back to Glendora, I’m coming to Peppertree just for Carey, Kerry… Kari? She’s everything you wanted in a waitress. Awesome.
Also, this place has a bunch of flavored coffee creamers, jams /​jellies and the maple syrup is served warm.
Mmmmmmmmm paaaancaaaakes.

Food was good, the portions where unbelievably huge! Cooks were pretty quick to get the food out. I left with extra for breakfast next morning! Yai! There’s a variety of items on the menu and Service was ok.
I’m going back to try the rest of these yummy hungry man size meals.

Whenever I am in town, I always make it a point to stop in at the PepperTree and have a bite to eat. (We’ve always called it the «PeckerTree» due to the birds pecking at the trees outside.)
The food is always homemade, the portions are great, and the prices are very reasonable. The lunch specials are the best! I can eat there for under $ 8.00 for lunch, and walk way satisfied.

Sure, this place looks dated both inside and out, but it is slowly becoming one of my favorite breakfast places.
One great thing I really appreciate is that they always offer different breakfast specials. Not once have I been here and seen a repeat item on it. I’ve had things as varied as: red velvet pancakes, bratwurst, spicy Italian sausage, stuffed French toast, crepes, etc. I’m sure you get the picture.
I have to say that depending on your waitress, you get different levels of service (coffee refills, additional napkins and such), which is why I’m not giving this place 5 stars.
