These guys are OFF THE CHARTS… I thank the universe EVERY TIME I deal with these guys. As a single mom on a budget but trying to hold on to my comfortable former life I purchased a pre owned BMW 335is. (My son picked it out after informing me my better choice would be a Cooper) I am used to being on alert for someone to take advantage of me. I’m not paranoid but I know when I can’t trust instinctively. Mitchell was amazing. Low key. Knowledgable. Not out to gouge. Better yet, because his location is fairly under the radar, he passes those savings on to the consumer. My adorable somewhat entitled (ok my fault) son adores these guys and now is a convert. I would NOT TAKE MY CAR ANYWHERE ELSE!!! People, there are sincere caring individuals out there to give a consumer a fair deal. Do not go anywhere else.

Let me start off with this: I drove (and will continue to drive) my happy-​a$$ all the way to Glendora from FRESNO (~4hrs, left at 4am to get there at 8am) because of how awesome Mitchell and his shop are/​is! I took my BMW 335 in to have downpipes, charge pipe, and FMIC installed. Mitchell gave me great pricing on the parts AND the labor! He let me pick his brain and ask many (probably annoying) questions about the car. I also had him do the oil cooler seal, replace my pcv valve, plugs, and a walnut blast. Needless to say, everything was done perfectly, and he even provided a rental car for the day! The car has never run better! He also works with my aftermarket warranty so eventually, if I end up with turbo/​wastegate issues or whatever else, he can get that straightened out as well! I can’t say this loud enough: if you want to take your car to a mechanic who absolutely knows his $hit AND is honest, fair, and reasonably priced, call Offset NOW!

Spoke with Mitchell via email for downpipe install. Initially, he was not able to schedule me until next week. But, he emailed me back and squeezed me in the next day. The job only took about 1.5hrs, probably less. Car runs perfect and will definitely bring my car back in the future.

I got my M3 control arms and engine mount done at Offset Motorwerks last Friday. Mitchell finished everything, including alignment, in a day. Again, can’t beat the price for parts and labor at this place. Quality work. Highly recommended.

Update 10÷23÷15
I Met Mitchell this morning to do a valve cover/​eccentric/​camshaft gasket job on my car and an Oil Change. About halfway through, Mitchell called me up to let me know that the valve cover gasket was good and it was the eccentric and the oil filter housing gaskets that were leaking. This knocked $ 100 off my bill.
How many mechanics do you HONESTLY know that demonstrate that kind of integrity and dedication to their customers? Probably none, sadly. They could have easily just done the bigger gasket job anyway (since that’s what I thought was leaking and was there to fix) and kept the bigger ticket amount and not said anything to me. Offset does not operate that way though. They earn repeat customer business by quality (and affordable) work, honesty and an extremely high rep among BMW communities.
This is why I drive an hour to service my car with Offset, and why I will continue to do so as long as I drive a euro.

Brought my Turbo E30 in for a rear end refreshment that included new balanced driveshaft with associated CSB and dlex-​disk, polyurethane subframe bushings, weld-​on toe/​camber adjusters, differential bushing and axles. The job was all done in an extremely timely manner and the cost of labor was more than reasonable. Mitchell, the owner, even threw in a few «while you’re in there» things for me while the subframe was out at no cost. The office manager Jenni is also just as helpful, friendly, and welcoming. I am definitely pleased being that I am a new customer and will be returning again for jobs that I myself am unable to perform. If you’re looking for work done to your BMW, whether it’s routine maintenance to race car modifications/​installs, do not hesitate to stop by.

I have taken my 2003 325i here multiple times for fixes such as getting a starter, water pump, battery, and spark plugs and I’ve been pleased with the customer service. There are a lot of shady and dishonest mechanics out there but Mitchell and the guys at offset are great and I highly recommend them especially if you have a bmw.

Awesome guys to work with; they won’t rob you, and they have the know-​how. (not the Napa know-​how, the good kind)
Anyways, if you have a car you don’t like people to touch (i.e. it’s very low and fitted, expensive, it’s a racecar, or your one-​and-​only), give them a call — you can trust them.

I have been a customer and client of Offset Motorwerks for some time and have not posted a review so I could see if the one bad review that was given was true. After months of coming to Mitchell and the gang at Offset, I can only say that for me, they really have proven themselves to be passionate about cars, offer great service at a fair price and really care about their customers. It’s more like having a good friend work on your car than just «a shop.» They do what they say they will do and they do it in a timely fashion. In the end, what else can you ask for?
I now am having them maintain and prep my Spec E30 race car besides my personal car. Having been the SoCal Regional Champion, I push my race car to the limit. The guys at Offset make sure I am on grid every time and stay on the podium. That is saying a lot considering what I put my car through. Under their care, I have not missed a session, or a podium, this season.
I am not surprised that Offset has a 5 star rating and I support that rating. I highly suggest Offset to friends and clients all the time and not one of them has every given me negative feedback.

This is the first time and most likely the last time (because I stand by my words and I hate to retract them) that I am revising a prior Unilocal review. I am glad Mitchell at Offset Motorwerks gets this revision because he deserves it.
I had previously left a provisional one-​star review for Offset Motorwerks because there were multiple delays in completing my project car in a timely manner. It was later discovered that the delays were caused by management related issues, not by the shop’s workmanship. Upon discovery of the mishaps, Mitchell promptly owned up, cut his loss, reduced his charge, and did everything he could to make me a satisfied customer.
To be fair, Mitchell did everything and performed all services as requested:
Adding an aftercooler and increasing the boost to an already supercharged E36 M3? No problem!
Overhauling the suspension by installing a set of coilovers, sway bar, and bushings; and rolling the rear fenders? Done!
Converting the automatic transmission to a six-​speed manual transmission? Love to do it!
Throwing in a BBK and some MISC parts at the same time? Been there, done that!
How about installing some aftermarket performance gauges, fine-​tuning my car, and transporting it to a dynamometer to make sure my car runs in tip-​top condition? Bring it on!
Admittedly, this project took much longer than I was hoping for. But I suppose it’s expected for many project cars. If you have the patience for a complicated project and are looking for a shop that does everything MacGyver style no matter what is thrown at them, give Mr. Mitchell Dyche a call. He won’t disappoint you!

First and foremost I have to say Mitchell and Sean were really down to earth and very helpful. They were super easy to talk to and had no big headed egos most bmw mechanics have.
I came in with the dreaded subframe crack that many bmw e46 m3’s are plagued with. Mitchell gave me a very reasonable quote when he threw it on the lift. Later on that day he took off the diff and the drivetrain and saw the horror. It was way worse than he previously quoted.
It was so bad in fact that the entire floor had to be removed and replaced. But Mitchell was way more than accommodating. Because his initial quote was so low he only charged me for the cost of a new m3vert floor and did not charge me for the labor to install it even though it was tons more work. I even did my research and looked up the prices for that specific part from various sources and Mitchell was not lying about the price to me.
They go above and beyond in many ways, not just the example I gave above, and were very accommodating to the many calls I have them when I had questions. When my car was done Mitchell had said they like to give a list of possible problems with the car that will need attention soon but he said the car was in amazing shape and couldn’t foresee anything that needs attention in the near future. This is where the usual mechanic will just spout out anything to bring you back to their shop so they can make more money off you. But Mitchell was honest and wasn’t trying to scrounge for change.
My car is better than new and they have restored my faith in mechanics. I highly recommend them for any subframe work you need on your e46s. They weren’t your typical scam artists that you usually encounter in this buisness.

I wanted to adjust my coilover, they went beyond what I asked them to do. Its hard to find a place that cares and understand customer’s needs instead of how much money they can get out of you.

Very nice people, great service experience. I found them through a BMW online forum. Some other forum contributors had recommended them or spoke positively about them. Before visiting the shop I ordered a FMIC (front mounted intercooler) through their website. After the FMIC was delivered I brought it to them to have it installed. It took them exactly the amount of time I was quoted and I was charged the exact price I was quoted days before on the phone. Very nice, and more importantly, genuine service from the owners to the very pleasant and helpful lady working up front (I don’t like to put peoples names on Unilocal,but you know who you are). They are CAR people and they love cars! Great pricing, good personal service… I drive across all of Los Angeles to have my 135i worked on here!
So far I’ve had my front arms replaced with M3 arms, new clutch and flywheel and an oil change.

Finally a shop I can trust. Not only do they know what they’re doing, but they have an amazing staff. I can trust that they’ll care for my car like its their own. I wish they were closer, but I don’t mind making the forty mile drive to have a trustworthy establishment service, tune, and modify my car.

Never had such a committed car shop within driving distance, and I’m so happy it’s finally here. Offset Motorwerks is small and efficient, unlike some more popular and often referred to shops in the BMW community (don’t learn the hard way).
After 7 years of being a «BMW 3-​series enthusiast» and going to Mini Corsa, LTMW and The M Shop. All of them are progressively more expensive than the other, respective to their order, and Offset is literally 40−50% cheaper than the cheapest on some upgrades/​services. No reason to go to the «other» guys and wait 2+ weeks for your appointment. Offset always gets me in within a week, and when I needed a new battery, they got me in within an hour.
My 2011 335d upgrades from Offset:
–M3 front control arms + install
–M3 rear sub-​frame bushings + install
–Coding (complimentary!)
–alignment
–tires/​wheels/​TPMS + install
–fender roll/​flare (rear)

Anything requiring your vehicle overnight includes an enterprise car rental. Read: INCLUDES, as in they rent you a car and pay for it.
FYI, in either direction (north or south) from their location, you’re no more than a 10-​minute walk from everything you could ever want, including Chinese foot massage at $ 20/​hr, Starbucks, restaurants, etc. Just north of the 210 so a quick on and off from one of the least traffic-​effected freeways in LA.

I hate how so many car shops I give a 5 star then a few months later have to come back and update because they did something to try to screw me or whatever so i really hope i don’t have to do that here!

the first thing i did was my control arms and being the Asian that i am i checked their quote with prices online, for parts, etc. VERY honest, did not try to rip me off on any part of the job, quick and painless process
really is a testament to their services that they don’t try to rip their customers off, we all know car shops usually try to do that so i think the best thing a car shop can give its customers is peace of mind of fair pricing and that’s what i feel here

Offset Motorwerks is definitely worth the call! Mitchell and Ryan always do a great job. They are both passionate and driven about what they do which is very important in this field.
They focus on German cars, but they welcome most makes and models. Some of their most recent projects have included BMW, Mazda, Mercedes, Infiniti and other various high performance vehicles.
