History

Established in 1985.

Mike Matlack started Matlack & Company when he purchased two agencies which had been around since the 1950’s — the Richard S. Sheldon Agency in Haddon Heights and the Knipe Agency in Glendora, NJ. Since that time, the agency has grown in both the size of their location and the total customers it serves.

After graduating from Temple University, Mike Matlack worked for General Accident Insurance company in PA for eight years, four of those years as an underwriter and the last four as a marketing representative. During those years he completed his CPCU designation. In 1985, he purchased two of the agencies in his territory and formed Matlack & Company.
