I’ve had my makeup done by pros & wasn’t impressed. I was beyond impressed with Mags technique & I’ve never been able to get a perfect color match until now. I’m a convert, what can I say! Her card says «you’re beautiful & I’ll prove it». She did. Great job Mags! Thank you again.

When I first met Maggie, I just knew that she was to be my makeup artist. I had less than 3 months before my wedding when I first contacted her so the trial was free. I didn’t have anything specific picked out but from our conversation, she managed to select the perfect look on the first try. Maggie is the perfect combination of professional and super friendly. She knows how to get the job done and is such a joy to be around. I have eczema on my face and the makeup she uses actually calmed my breakout by the next day, which has never happened before. The morning of my wedding, she was early to arrive and was ready to go. My wedding was in my mother’s house and she was flexible with limited space. She was also flexible when I decided last minute to change my lipstick color to bright red, instead of nude. Maggie went out of her way to make sure that I had enough touch-​up makeup to last through the night (thank you again for that, Maggie. That was so awesome of you!). She also did the makeup for 4 bridesmaids and 2 mothers… every single one of them couldn’t believe how stunning they looked. We went for more natural hues and she perfectly brought out the color of our eyes and complimented skin tones. Basically, I 100% recommend Maggie for any occasion. She’s an exceptional makeup artist and a solid person all around. I received so many compliments from my family and friends. Thank you, Maggie! XOXOX

I first worked with Maggie on a wedding earlier this year. Since then we have collaborated on numerous projects and she is definitely one of the best! From bridal to fashion to straight up art, Maggie has got it going on. As a photographer it is extremely important that a makeup artist knows not just how to apply beautiful makeup but how to apply it so that it will photograph well. Many people don’t realize how key this is for their photos. So if you’re getting married or having your pictures taken be sure to get a true pro who really knows what they are doing, and my suggestion is to get Maggie! You won’t regret it. :) Plus her fun personality and positive attitude will only make your day better.

I just recently did a photo shoot, hair and make up services courtesy of Maggie Cathey, and it was an all-​around amazing experience! She is not only personable and sets her clients at ease with her sense of humor and ability to relate and converse, but the quality of her work is outstanding!
On another note, as a woman of color, it is extremely difficult to find a make up artist able to make my specific skin tone translate on-​camera without compromising my natural features. Her work truly highlights and magnifies what her clients already posses!

Maggie is so awesome! Being a performer, I’ve gotten my makeup done a lot but, Mags makeup skills were by far the most pleased I have been with the results! She is so patient and takes her time to make you look your best. She uses makeup that is great for the face that makes you glow! I now know a makeup artist who I feel very comfortable recommending to friends. I was very pleased, and hope to work with this talented woman again! :)

I’ve worked with Maggie twice now and I have had an amazing experience both times! She is so kind, sweet, and on top of that an amazing makeup artist! She takes her time to make sure you look absolutely fabulous and the quality of her work really shows. Overall she is wonderful and I absolutely recommend her.

I recently lost a lot of weight and wanted to take some photos to document my progress. Maggie did my makeup for the shoot. I am super picky about my makeup and was very nervous about having my photos taken. Maggie did an amazing job. The makeup looked fantastic, but it also looked like me! She truly captured my personality and helped me feel confident and beautiful. I will definitely be working with her again!
