History

Established in 1960.

We have been a family run store for over fifty years. George Hentsch my wife’s Grandfather started in the flooring business even earlier in Chicago. In fact we have thank you notes in the store from the 30’s. Dave Hentsch took over in 1960 and ran the store while serving as a fireman for almost 30 years. I came to work for Dave as a laborer in 1976 and learned the business from the ground up. I married Dave’s daughter in 1982 and became a partner in the store in1996 when we changed the name to Glendora Floor Store.

Business Owner

I was born and raised right here in Southen CA. I attended public school until high school, then attended Lutheran High School in La Verne. I graduated from Cal Poly Pomona in 1982.

I have worked in a variety of jobs from a dishwasher at Betsy Ross Ice Cream to a marble engraver at the Pomona mausoleum! Most of my work experience has been in construction trades from brick laying, cement finishing, rough framing, painting, and of course flooring.

I have been married for 30 years, and have raised two beautiful daughters that are now married and now have two great son in laws.

My wife & I enjoy camping, boating and hiking with our two dogs Buddy & Kona.
