Firme Foundation specializes in providing houses for those who lost their homes in the 2010 Haiti Earthquake. Firme also supports the provision of Haitian jobs through each undergoing project. Providing shelter from the elements, as well as a sense of safety and security. Integrating the message of life and strength into housing projects are the principles upon which Firme Foundation is grounded.

History

Established in 2010.

Firme Foundation was started after the Founder and his family experienced Haiti’s 7.0 Earthquake in 2010. Having lost their house due to a collapse. Firme Foundation was started in order to get homeless families in similar situations off the streets.

I have had the opportunity of witnessing the birth of this foundation and every growing phase of it; nevertheless, its a foundation with never ending developmental ideas to improve the living conditions of unsheltered families in Haiti. From my experience as a supporter, of the foundation, Its idea and cause is developing at a fast pace because of great supporters through out the 50 states. I love what this non-​profit is doing, the founder has a great plan for helping the people of Haiti recover from their destitute situation. Through providing inexpensive durable housing to the people it will be a big help in their plight to rebuild after their loss. I really believe in the strategy of this organization, it reminds me of micro-​financing efforts that are helping poor countries around the world.
