Hi Bicycle Central My name is Raymond I’d like to leave my honest and unbiased review of the shop. *I am in no way affiliated with the shop* Well about a week ago I went around searching for a bicycle shop to help me put together two bicycles that I had taken apart to paint and give it a little overhaul. Of course I would have just bought 2 new bikes instead but we both work for the school district and we are currently on summer break so funds are a bit tight, but we wanted something to enjoy this summer while we go fishing and to the beach. I went to a few shops prior that same day and many of them I felt overcharged me for the service and when I asked certain questions about tires they didn’t understand what I was saying. After about an hour of frustration I decided to drive over to the bicycle shop. I felt if I couldn’t find a proper shop to help me out after here I was going to attempt to do it myself. Well I walk in with my girlfriend and we’re immediately greeted with a smile by Matt. He asked if we were searching for anything and we decided to small talk instead. I felt really comfortable with Matt and told him about my 2 bicycle projects. He quoted me a great price and showed me around the shop on different items and accessories we can throw on the bikes. I told him I will be fishing and wanted to use my bike to help me take my tackle box. He mentioned a rear bike rack to hold my stuff. I never felt that I was being sold something more so just being shown what would work best for my needs. Matt was a very nice guy and the shop was great. I will be dropping off my bicycle with them tomorrow to get worked on and can’t wait to get it back as I know they will take care of us. After this summer when the school year begins I will surely be back to purchase a new bike. I’m hoping my girlfriend and I will have some nice little adventures this summer and bicycle shop is a huge reason as to why we’ll be having fun. Thank you and thank you Matt.

Ever helpful, I enjoy the vendor the staff bring to the store. Prices are comparable to other lbs stores but their customer service is top notch! They have a plethora of fun mountain bike rides. Ask in store!

Along with bad customer service they over price their bikes and equipment. Go online to check prices before going into this crapy bike shop. I don’t know if it’s the new employees or the owner has just stopped caring; but this shop is going down hill. I grew up in Glendora and this bike shop hasn’t sucked this bad since I can remember!
Apparently now, there’s only one worker that can talk details about the bikes. When I was there I had to wait a good 15 – 20 min just to get him to stop working on other bikes in the back to come out and talk to me about a bike I wanted. (Granted, there were 2 – 3 other employees, but none could help, wierd) When he finally came out he was rude with one word answers to my questions and it seemed like he just wanted to get back to what he was working on in the back. Anyway, this overpriced bike shop should send their employees to a customer service class because they suck! How the owner let’s his staff get away with this shity service is beyond me. Going above and beyond is outa the question for them.
Also, I found the same bike online for much cheaper! Along with bad customer service they over price their bikes and equipment! Trust me, shop online before you buy from this crapy bike shop. I also suggest checking out Glendora Cyclery on Glendora Ave. in downtown. They’re much more respectful!

This is a really cool local bike shop. I don’t live in the area but was visiting the neighborhood so I stopped in to pick up a bell for my road bike. I hadn’t thought it through, and didn’t realize I would need something with a clamp big enough for the top of my bar. The store didn’t carry any of those, despite having a wide selection of bells for cruisers and the like. But instead of saying sorry and sending me on my way, the gentleman at the counter asked his coworker about a bell that might fit. When he confirmed that there indeed exists such a bell that could be purchased direct from the manufacturer (Spurcycle bell), he wrote down the name of the bell on the back of a business card. How cool is that? You gotta give props to a store that points you to the thing you need, even if they don’t sell it. I plan to revisit if I’m in the area again because I know these folks to be honest and helpful. I hope their business is successful for a long time. Thanks, Bicycle Central!

Had a great experience buying our daughter’s first bike. We decided to come back here after shopping around at other bicycle shops in the area. They were very friendly and helpful. Eric and Joel were awesome and answered all our questions and gave great customer service. Will definitely come back here to buy our adult bikes.

Came here to have two beach cruisers serviced. They were given to me as a gift and were sitting around for a while some wanted to have them checked out and see what they needed. The young man greeted me as I walked in and I told him the situation and he said no problem, leave them with me and I’ll give you a call with an update. Later that day he called me and told me the damage, just needed some tlc and a couple of tires. He gave me a fair price and told me I had some pretty decent beach cruisers. I’m planning on buying a good every day bike so I will definitely be coming here first to see what my options are. Great service and fair prices! A+

Let me start by saying that in some cases, it may actually BE BETTER TO SHOP AT A BIG DEPARTMENT STORE rather than a small business (how dare I write this ON SMALL BUSINESS SATURDAY). My wife purchased a gift certificate at Bicycle Central for me for our anniversary, but we accidentally lost it. They have a strict policy stating that the certificates are like cash, so if lost, there is nothing they can do about it. We tried to rectify the situation by speaking to someone at the store, asking if there was any way to void our certificate and issue us a new one… long story short (I know too late), they informed us that even though they have record of each and every certificate sold, THEY ARE TOO BUSY to check the certificates used each time a customer redeems. It’s not like I’m asking about a $ 10, $ 20, or even $ 100 certificate, but one for $ 400! I guess they sell so many for that same amount that it’s too difficult to keep track — NO, THE MANAGER CONFIRMED THIS IS A RARE AMOUNT and gift certs for this $$ amount stands out. I even suggested they keep the copy of my old certificate near the register to check to see if my lost certificate had been found and attempted to be redeemed. The manager said that would be too much trouble to track. I asked to speak to the owner, but he wasn’t there that day. OWNER DID NOT CALL BACK, the same manager later called my wife and left her a message stating that they have their policy and the only thing they could do is to «let» us buy a bike, then if we found the certificate, they could then put that amount towards our purchase. If it wasn’t ever found though, we would be out that amount. DOES THAT SOUND LIKE A SMALL BUSINESS TAKING ADVANTAGE OF PEOPLE like what is normally said about BIG BUSINESSES? Sounds like a nice win-​win situation for the shop, but as of today, they have our money and we have no bike. Is this the thanks we get for supporting a small business?

Such an awesome place!!! My fiancée and I walked in to just ask questions and look at our options for bikes, and we were immediately greeted by the staff. Erick was the gentleman that answered all 100 of our questions. :) The bikes were organized, and he pointed us toward the mountain bikes section since that was what I was looking for. He asked us our price range and showed us bikes at around that price. I fell in love with one of the Trek bikes, and Erick even pulled it out so I could hop on and see if it was the correct length for me. We then learned that they could put that bike on layaway for two months with at least a 20% deposit, and have it paid in full by the time we take it home. My fiancée and I will return to purchase a bike for her. Erick was extremely helpful, and the other gentleman in the back (whose name I forgot) was awesome too! Overall — I don’t have any complaints and am happy with my purchase!

I came in just to get some air into my road bike tires. As they were pumping my valve came off due to a problem with the last bike shop. This shop replaced the inner tube free of charge! Left me off on a good note! :)
Asked for a evaluation on my bike; gave a true opinion for its uses and functionality. Great service and very informational. I asked for information on a full tune up on my bike (tires, spokes, gears, shifters and derailers, and breaks) and if i got everything fixed it was about $ 70.
The best part was his honest opinion: said that I should probably wait until my bike gets used a more when to when it actually NEEDS a tune up so I can save money.
VERY HELPFUL, VERY INFORMATIONAL, GOOD SELECTION OF BIKES AND PARTS, BEST SERVICE I HAVE EVERY SEEN.
WILL BE BACK AGAIN FOR ALL FUTURE NEEDS.

Great shop and really good prices on all their inventory, moreover they always do quality repairs whenever I bring my bikes in.

I won’t be going to any other bike shop. I shopped around before making any final decisions about my purchase. This was the last place I came to and the closest to my home and it should’ve been the first. I wasted a lot of time going to other places. I forget the guys name but he was super helpful and actually advised me on a bike that fit my needs, not one with upgrades and fancy whatever. I told him what I was looking for and my rider style and he knew exactly what I wanted before I even told him what I had been looking at. And instead of offering me the one with all the gears, he recommended the single gear due to my lack of experience and the fact that I’m a casual rider. I had priced around and their prices beat all I had seen. Not by a crazy amount but by at least $ 20 (every bit counts). You have a returned customer in me. You can tell these guys know their stuff. I went next door (to the competitor) and the guy there admitted he didn’t ride and could only answer basic questions. Frustrating and not helpful to a noob like me. Every time I patronize a mom and pop shop, I remember why. Great customer service and people who actually care and have a passion. Kudos to the whole staff. Cheers!

Took my bike there for inspection and service, was told it would be ready in four days but they had it back to me in less time then promised. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. There prices are reasonable especially considering the really good customer service you receive. I work hard for my money and don’t mind paying a few dollars extra for the amazing service. Definitely returning and will recommend this place.

What a fantastic service this guy’s provide. Very professional.
You don’t have to know witch bike you need. You just need to know where you want to ride. In this store you will get all equipment and installation.
Toy also have a great choice of bikes. Any repair toy like: chains, wheels, breaks, etc.
I spent there 2 hrs. I tested 3 different kind bikes. I bought to bikes, for my self and my wife. Everything was installed there for me. Plus they nicely handle other costumers same time.

Took my friends bike here after going to incycle in San Dimas. The estimate was basically the same, but the attitude of the employee was much better. The bike was in by 10 and ready by 5:00. Thank You

Bought my bike here to commute to work with. I love the bike so far. I don’t know much about bikes and I was throughly explained the different types of bikes that will fit my needs. I was asked if I needed accessories but I said no. A week later, I ended up needing some so I called them and they told me to bring my receipt and they will hook me up with the discount for accessories even when I bought my bike a week ago.
I think about what I buy, that includes thoroughly understanding returns which was clearly explained to me when i asked about it. It was my job to make sure of that anyways. So the bad reviews about poor returns in this business is innacurate. Next time I come back here, hopefully I would be buying a new bike wifey. Or a new upgrade for me.
The workers here seems to be laid back, straight forward and professional.
I did my research for price after I bought my bike, and I did save money. Overall a good experience so far.

Afterall, their service is good from all the staff members so far. They take time to answer all my questions, its a good little local bike shop next to Sports Chalet.
The guys know their stuff here and make pretty good, detailed recommendations. I am planning to buy my SPD’s here soon with shoes, and they install free!
They also do maint. here, but i haven’t done so yet, mines due!

This small family business will treat you right on that first sale. However, just like in the other low yet accurate reviews, the friendly service and warm smiles disappear on the next visit. They may know all about bikes, and this place may have that perfect bike for you, but consider another shop for repairs or other services unless you want to be treated coldly.
edit: I went to return a lock someone got for me from here. Because it was 2 months ago, they said I couldn’t return it for credit, even though it was obviously unopened and in the same bag they sold it in. After further discussion I got credit, but now my returning/​exchanging rights have been taken (It was my first return). Everything is final sale from now on. Be certain of what you want to buy from here now.
